Are you going to thin out those bushes at some point for light penetration...

Think I will do some of that next time with my bubba...

Jack why did you make your Coco plant grow so slow man. Put a coco plant under a 1k for veg with a big pot and it will get bushy as hell, that little plant you got there looks like its being held back from its true potential to be honest you sure your not vegging it under fluorescent lights in another room that is not running Co2, the small container is to small to produce big bushy plants lol.

Yo Jack are your following Canna's nute schedule or are you coming up with your own feed schedule to hit the target rates for Mary Jane for flowering which are 100-100-200-70 n-p-k-mg.
I have never really followed feeding charts I am using CANA as my base with Cannazym, Magical,Roots Excel,Bud Ignitor weeks 1 and 2 then Big Bud and Finish with Over Drive...I really let the plants tell me what they want I had a couple days where a few of the leaves started showing signs of needing cal mag I bumped it up from 150 ppm to 200 and it was gone the next day, I also foliar spray twice a week..JACK

Ya you got me I lied to every one the plant is being grown under a black light..I just wanted to be cool and tell every one it was grown in COCO under a 1000 hps..I never said the plant was grown under the same conditions.:mad0223:If you would of read I said in Coco under a 1000 watt HPS, Sure a bigger pot would help but she still would not have been half the size as the ones in The big system :nerd...JACK
damn is all i can come up with, nice set up :confused0054:

Thanks bro...:rock

Jack those 100 year old oak tree trunks you got there are badass!
Are they coming up on a 12oz can of coke circumference wise yet? Kinda
how they look like in your pics anyway. I was gonna suggest an axe come harvest but on second thought you better bust out a Stihl chainsaw for those monsters

Im definitely on board with the UC's. It'll be the most money I've ever spent on just a system but goddamn, the results speak for themselves.

there are several people building their own systems
im thinking of taking 5 waterfarm units and making 4 uc units (for my mothers) with the 5th as the controller unit .......just a thought
those buckets they use resemble kitty litter containers from sams club
11$........and thats free litter lol

No this is not DD's system...I thought it was pretty clear? If your looking for a turnkey system this is the way to go, People jump on here and start comparing the two. When the 13 gallons get here then we will be abel to see them run and compare, DD's system uses 27 gallon containers, that's a shit load of room for the roots, Any way you look at it both systems kick ass and take names, I truly believe that the futer of growing will be these systems and vertical lighting, The Plant in COCO was grown under a 1000 w HPS..Jack

Yeah I didn't think it was but when you gave him props I thought maybe the UC was something the co did with his system or a different design he gave them. Thanks for clearing that up Jack. Yeah they both rock. :rock

Fewer plants bigger yield I'm all for that.

There fuckin huge Its really something else what this system can do I walked in the shop today and said to myself god dam looks like im going to need a bigger shop...:rock This week the plants have shown more growth then any other time by this weekend they will all be touching each other and thats with 40" centers...And next week will be the start of week 3 when the real fun begins...JACK

The investment is minor for what the system will do for you...Wait until you need a chain saw to chop down your plants :icon_animal26:...JACK

Yeah that’s a concern, I have been thinking long and hard on how to setup the next UC run.
What is plan B if the girls get so big they overgrow the middle lights? Food for thought the folks at UC now have the 16’s broken down to inline 8’s. So you could do the 16’s with 2 separate units. Then you could adjust outwards for the middle light if needed. Now how to adjust the 40” centers lengthwise if they outgrow that? These are great dilemmas aren’t they…

As a lurking reader, this is only my first post, but I've been researching the UC system for some time now. I will have the 13 gallon XXXL system in hand very soon. But the problem I brought up with CC was this exact concern that you've touched on, Jack and L-Immortal.

My 13g is coming with all the fittings but none of the pipes. I will get those separately and cut them to the length I decide, creating custom center distance. The room will be built to match.

So, by the end of all this my question for you Jack will be what do you think you would recommend for a center distance when you go to the 13s yourself?

I now think the UC system is so unbelievably effective that we have to create a new set of standard measurements for it. And you're probably in the middle of figuring that out now. I expect you'll have some idea what to do for center distance by the time I'm ready to build the room, so I'm just going to keep watching this great thread for now.

Thanks so much, Jack, for posting all this great info and helping us out who are just getting going with the UC. I'd like to post my setup when I get it going, but I'm sure I'm going to feel like I swam way too far out from shore!

I can't wait to see the next pics of your "more growth then any other time"!

All is good over here I have plenty of room if I need to go wider I can...This run is a test run for the room and the system. I will know in the next couple weeks if I will keep 16 per side I might end up with less like 14 or 12 but it is way to early to tell...And when all is said and done if the plants getting to big becomes the problem it is a problem that I would not mind having and will take all day long..JACK

Right on Jack, It looks as though this run will be one for the record books. I’ll be here in the cheering section revving you on. As for you, myself and others we learn something new every day about this truly amazing dwc system. Oh and the immaculate room, precise atmospheric control, and attention to detail helps out a we bit too. :winking0067:

Jack have you had any problems with those AP 40 pumps like TK did and do you think a larger air stone in each container as well as a larger pump overall would make the system better?

Any new pics? Would love to see how your trees are coming along

Strains are Chemdog #4 X DEEP CHUNK,ALIEN DOG, OG RASKALS,FIRE BUBBA,MASTER BUBBA and Strawberry Bubba

I always thought you could only do one strain per reservoir in these systems... multi strain seems to be working for you :D
Did you grow these strains before or chose them because they have the same tendencies?
For me it's either the MPB buckets or the UC for the next run. I change my mind on an hourly basis...but your multi strain "test run" in only 8G buckets tips the scale again. I would hate to run 8 reservoirs...

Thanks so much for posting all that info, truly inspiring!
And please: MORE STEM PORN :)
