Hi people.

I have a toy Acupulco Gold in veg in my small tent. I'm experimenting on her in manifold work, LST etc... I'm hoping to turn her into a monster over the Summer before resuming my regular grow routine. A side project as I re-strain over the summer in order to get back to cloning for fall/winter... She's about 6 weeks from seed. (Right) The left child is a super critical CBD baby mother. However I'm posting specifically about the Acupulco Gold.

There are tried and tested vegging conditions in that particular tent... for every strain I've seeded or cloned. I have no environmental concerns...

I think I have this nailed down as I recently started lacing my peat mix with dolomitic lime. This little girl spurred that revelation.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed she was cannibalizing her oldest growth. Calcium right? (Media pH actually, every time) I added a tablespoon of lime to her nursery pot and proceeded watering it in whenever she dried out mostly. Slowly the problem came to a crawl. Barely happening.

Two days ago I put her in her 3 gallon fabric pot, the next day, calcium deficient! Lol. Fussy girl...

Her soil mix has been treated with lime. 2tbsp/gallon plus the initial dose. I'm sitting on my hands watching for the moment and fairly confident the problem will again slow/stop as the lime adjusts the pH over time.

Am I missing something here? Has anyone grown this strain recently?

(I just crushed all of her little shoulders yesterday... That damage was intentional lol)

They were also rudely awakened for this picture. Not something I ever do. Dark time is sacred. ;)

and ph down

but u zealots

just have to make life difficult

for pretty bottle of liquid puup

growers

like myElf

language!

sorry

defol the leaf ;(

She's sad looking yes, in a month she'll be better for the stress she's been through. I treated her with dolomitic lime about a week back. Its not a fast solution... But I've noticed a definite slowing of the problem since then.

I transplanted her about 48 hours ago. The mix was treated with lime to bring up the pH, pH down would only worsen my calcium uptake issue I believe... correct me if I'm wrong please.

I have no plans to defoliate before growth resumes in a few days, at the least. She needs a few days to recover and acclimate without further stressing her out. I'm leaving the two sick leaves at the bottom because in previous days/weeks when the sick leaves were removed, the problem moved up to the next lowest set. If I leave them alone, the issue does not travel fast.

I believe bringing the substrate mix pH up in the coming days/weeks will continue to help. (Mostly pro mix with added pearlite - 1/2 cup per gallon and dolomitic lime - 2 tblspn per gallon, Ive found pro mix to be quite acidic compared to soil, I use a mineral salt fertilizer as well, doesn't help)

Appreciate your input!

My E.C. is running at 1.6, that's been consistent for two weeks. Too high?

Uggh. New. Made a mess of this thread. I'm going to continue in a grow diary. I suspect I've conquered this issue, its just going to take a week.

lemme grab the book.

i was kidding about removal. i know u used the term sick, loosely, but for those who follow- he means deficiency... or just being a lil off.
lemme translate the ec because i measure in ppm and always forget... yes, i know the formula is simple... I'm mid schizo episode, atm so bear with. i tend to jack threads with tangents so I'll read the sick bible to u, this morning n b gone, if i can help it.
u have a great cents of humor and it'll just exacerbate my puup to play with u.

brb with the book. since ur goin to journal... let's rock.

i know it's early. someone set me off. his tag is a rush album/song...

i know i been doin this for a stretch and have had both- ph up and ph down on my pekker n schnutz, but i still forget which is the acid n which is the base... so don't even get me started with lime decaying bodies because if you've ever seen a barber pole; orange, red and white... does not a penis make. shoulda heard the poison control guy, "son... you put sulfuric what on your dick! you're going to the emergency room. that shit'll get in your bloodstream!"...
well... praise baby jezuz my neighbors were internal medicine specialists n some other dealeo.
fyi... if your freak of a girlfriend is cheap... veet does same thing as nair and apparently... doesn't go on your testicles. my bad... i panicked. needless to say
after what she saw
well... let me just say that she minded what she put in her mouth after that and departed, soon after... she put an assprint in my hood, the size of a 6lb bowling ball, right before she thought she could hang onto a window... blonde over keds over blonde, can b beautiful, in a mirror... she was alright. the roller coaster is a fun ride...

looking at the petiole, i believe it's called- where the fingers join... this is a sativa, yes? do u feel they are a lil spread n thin, for the strain and possibly a lil fat for a sativa, lookin at the rest of the girls?
1.6 is 800ppm... which in aero is essentially my fryline.

@Dirtbag

can i get a hand, dbag? my mind is swirling.

calcium deficiency

lime

strong base

raises ph

believe u mentioned it

so far, that's where I'm at

lemme find the best comparable pic

as u know
it takes a few days and u r likely to c further deterioration before for changes to appear. defoliating what they're already cannibalizing ain't helpin ur cause so I'm glad u didn't take it seriously.

sounds like u been doin this for a while, just tryin to catch the rhythm of the strain...?
sounds like u have a sensitive one on ur hands and since my current pattern is neglect- I'll have to get my act together, before trying the classic u have. ya scare me, man! far as the strain...
love the classics... have plenty more of em to grow for myself... but i pine for amnesia, like the one that got away and... with a pile of addict's seeds... sigh... I'm hesitant to skip my gurl's new bra orders, for pot seeds. she misses the amnesia, too... but if it goes poorly, she'll take it personal. there's just no living with her, like that. perhaps, if we say, "happy birthday, baby"... with the next seed order, we can get ourselves around her breasesses, safely.

I'm rereading

if u mentioned something about a trans, or medium reset...

b careful. if she's sensitive... hermie risk...
