Pipe cleaners rule SS. 👍
My local bit of everything shop thinks I'm an arts and crafts nut 😇 the amount of pipe cleaners I bought lol. I cleaned them out and have to buy online now, but tbf I got 700 for pennies, nice 30cm bright coloured ones, nice and bendable, not like actual pipe cleaners, the white things. They tend to snap and rust very easily. I've tried, wire, pegs, twine, paper clips the lot, and the humble pipe cleaner reigns supreme. Just so versatile 💪.

Advert over, Fudge branded pipe cleaners TBA soon 🤣🤣

I forgot the exact size but they're big 👍

But even a solo cup gives you another 3 inches and with seeds that's big difference.

This is why I've switched to dropping in dirt/coco and transplanting after a couple nodes. The same percentage of seeds will still germinate, but there's a lower percentage of seedlings lost to transplanting too early or not delicately enough.

Exact reason I do this as well. I have been doing the initial planting in Solo cups but the next round I am going to go direct into a smart pot of some kind, ditch the fabric and eliminate all the transplanting.

I’m happy to say the blue dream af is finally flowering after being switched to 12/12. Not a fucking af. I’ve bent a few branches over because well, height. Two F-Bombe seeds have finally popped through, as have two of three HSC Squirt seeds.

Not sure how much pipe cleaners are but you may want to compare it to a roll of romex 12/2. Or ask an electrician for a few scraps. 10 gauge is perfect imo. Sounds like you are good for awhile though.

Huh? All the other limbs that are already tied down. No good way to tie down the two I had to bend.

So, I’ve done a good job destroying seeds recently. It annoys me with myself. Anyway, HSC squirt 2 was toast; 3 has yet to pop through, I’m hoping 1 will keep going. And AB105 is still going strong. No idea gender though. So, I’m throwing some other beans down. I’ll be damned if I don’t grow enough this summer to make sure I’m not dry again. Tonight, I put down a 207: S. Banana (Strawberry Fields) X Afghani fem seed. And I’m contemplating what else.

If 207 still has their special offer going with ethos genetics might be worth checking out, I did a 90$ ordered and with the free ethos packs it came to about 180$ value.

It is a glorious day outside. I’ve never grown strawberries before, but here goes. This will be my second year doing any gardening at all. These were bare roots, dry, four days ago. I also replanted my habanero plant from last year. I had two, but only one seems to have survived overwintering. And this maglia rosa tomato plant is going to a neighbor today to be transplanted and sit in her sunny window until it can safely stay outdoors. I’m zone 6. Everything is in coco coir this year. Only the habanero plant had its medium amended with some perlite and 4-4-4 all purpose slow release fertilizer. The strawberry plants will be transplanted again in two weeks as long as there is good new growth. Currently, there are two AB10# seedlings, one HSC Squirt seedling, and the HSC Humboldt Dream just sprouted and will be moved to the tent tonight at lights on. The three clones are getting there. One is finally taking off though the leaves still look horrid.

Pots to small for Maglia Rosa, one minute its to wet, the next its to dry, balance is the key to these red orbed beauties. 👍

Silly trick taught to me when I was younger, if your gonna do a grow outside and want to watch out for its heat signature, plant near black berry bushes they give off the same temperature on heat scans from choppers/planes.

I have a huge raised bed of strawberries. I plant it in thirds and rotate 1/3 every 3-4 years. I get like 10 or so a year before the squirrels or the ground hog gets them :)

Unfortunately, flower boxes or grow bags are it for me and I don’t think they’ll come back in those, will they? I’ll have to replant each year. Our condo association/property manager won’t let me plant anything on our common grounds.

That sounds like a reason to invest in some bulk mint and horseradish seeds. 😈
