Even in an open room with no reflective walls i needed to keep it at 18”.

I think my sun system reflector hits max advertized par at 16”. Sunlight basically.

And i mean in the flower room. 18” over flowers.

3' 4" solo cup update.

Well shes still around lol. Looks very close to flush time. Not sure if it's because it has been potbound almost its entire life, but it looks far ahead of schedual.

I am pretty impressed with it for a solo cup, but if I knew I was going to flower a solo cup, I would have done it differently.

Oh she will if you give her a chance. Even fully watered. Normally she is in the scrog net, both nets holding her up. But pictures turn out better out of the tent

Just perusing through this thread and I come upon that solo cup girl. I must say she is absolutely incredible I need to catch up some more but I'm along for the ride.

Wick stuff update

So it's still alive. No signs of deficiencies or anything. Roots are growing slow, but they are growing thick. Not much fine hair roots.

Also tried using the wick system as a clone starter, I have it in about half a cup of promix hpcc stuffed in to garlic mesh, but it would work just as well with rockwoll.

I took the clone from the big tent when it was in flower, about 4 weeks ago. It took about 2 weeks to show roots, and has been slow growing.

It still has tricombes on it

I'm liking how healthy the roots look on your wick system and it is cool to see that it worked well for cloning. Pretty gnarly how they grow into the wick itself!

Week 10 update:

Well, the cmh has taken its toll on some of the fan leaves, some that are even like 2 feet away. The purpling is definitely heat stress. Instead of swapping it back out for an LED like a smart man would do, I'm choosing to be a dummy and let the CMH finish it off. It's only a few of the top fan leaves, the plant has no shortage of those.

Dongs have filled in nicely and the foxtailing is at a minimum.

I'm waiting for the plant to be done. I see very very few clear tricombes, yet no amber. So this is the time I would normally think to start flushing. But I think I might wait a week.

The kingbrite 240w quantum board has arrived. Mocked it up for now just for testing and stuff. Will be mounting the board higher up and the driver out of the tent.

It is bright! I'm sure the plants will like it. The new tent is pretty much ready to become my second flower tent. Just want to get it right first.

Ok, I've flushed her for a week and a half and this is what we got.

At 3ft 4inch. She is done she smells great and has a bunch of flower. But as I said before, if I knew i was going to flower it I would have done it differently.

I like how you can see the ribs from the solo cup in the roots

I just pulled off the bigger leaves and hung it up. I'll let it sit this way for 7 to 10 days, till its crispy. Then I'll dry trim and weight it.

Week 11 update.

I started flushing yesterday. Aside from the odd foxtail, she looks done.

The dong field is impressive, but not as impressive as I would have liked. I think the light change messed her up a bit.

Anyways, maybe next weekend. Maybe two week flush. We will see.

Midweek update.

I've switched out the CMH for the X5 COB during the last week to bring the temperature down. She is pretty much done. I will be harvesting this weekend.

The wick system has successfully transferred over to a dwc system. Though the plant itself is rather weird looking.

Because the cutting was taken in mid flower, it has tricombes.. it vegged for a few weeks and grew some roots, then I put it right back in to flower with the DWC system. So shes all sorts of fucked up.

Now that the system has been proven, I'm going to take a fresh cutting from a plant in veg, wick it and dwc it to harvest.
This one however, it destined for the compost pile.
