Mosh, you're in a beautiful part of the country thats for sure...Land of Flowers. Not sure if you've ever been to Selby Gardens in Sarasota? Back in 1971 my mom donated a bunch of rare succulents and they have her a life membership to their 'society'. Apparently they have continued to upgrade/update and otherwise spiff the place up. If you've not been IMHO worth a trip to see.

Sarasota is just about recovered from the hurricane - only about 1/12 hours away so not a long trip

Beginning to look downright cozy in there, Frankster.Keep your eyes open for a metal 5 gallon bucket or coal scuttle for emptying the stove. And you can get dampers to install in the pipe if you have a mind to. I kind of like the one I put in mine. Give you a little more control over the burn.

We have a million great ideas which is why we're Monday morning quarterbacking this here construction/survival site. Constant process of burn and empty, cut down and stack cover. Our stove was in the basement and would trudge out to the supply of oak and bring it into the house. IDK, but it seems like he is getting all the credit where you and I are the brains of the outfit.

Here here! I’ll drink to that! My only source of heat is a voracious woodstove with an insatiable appetite! I think He is going to need a lot more dry wood so he better get that lined up. His supply wouldn’t last me two weeks! L O L.

My nephew has one of those that he uses in the backyard and takes camping to the beach and wherever! He loves it! Don’t think it will work in Franksters Application though. Due to wood being somewhat scarce. Those are more of a luxury fire pit that you sit around in a lounge chair, put your feet up, and get shitfaced!
