I think I am done growing anything NL #5. It is just B grade herb. The ancient Og is amazing, and the Goji Showed potential. The goji must have better pheno's out there, but I am not upset with what I got. The AOG and Goji's yielded 8# plus.

Agreed on those freebies brother..I had one outdoor snow wookie and she was awesome..not a huge yielded but nice n frosty and she smelled real good too..

U say ur done with the nl5..what r ur thoughts on the triad?was really wanting to grab a pack or two of those and potentially use them for some outdoor home breeding projects or do u think I should shy away from them and look for something else to use?

A og's turned out amazing. .. Two plants two phenos. 1 fruit punch and 1 funky kush. Both around 12 lbs.
2 kindness, both the same and dank as fuck. Smell is super unique, funky almost rotten fruit. Both around 8 lbs.
3 red eye jedi all looked the same, same dank kush smell, huge buds. 1 got a little bud rot but not bad. They were planted late in 200's and still did 4 a piece.
1 ssdd that was amazing. Sweet butter smell, huge frosty nugs... yielding around 8 lbs.
1 goji og in funky soil.... she started to yellow out on me early. Buds were kinda loose and on the small side but I think it was all my fault. Str8 og kush with a slight undertone of strawberry. Super dank. Probably a 5 lber in 200 gals.

Also if its bogof how come u got 7 packs?shouldnt it be an even number?

I have tried NL #5 x many many strains. When I was first starting around 96', NL #5 was some piney, super herb. You could yield like a king, and the herb was tasty and potent. Now days, I can not replicate that for the life of me. I have gone through 40 NL #5 seeds in the last two seasons alone, and was impressed with none of it. Did you see my THC test results on them? Kind of sad. The smell is blaw also.

I am not hating however. Some people really like a low odor strain. I guess I am looking for what I know NL #5 used to be for me, and nothing is living up to my memory.

I remember that piney smell as well brother..personally I want something that reeks as well..being a chef if it smells and looks good it's prolly good lol

my thoughts with the triad is maybe having a better chance of that pine smell in there..idk..

Have u grown the triad before?i can't seem to find much online about it so not sure what to really expect..

I've also been keeping my ears open on the AOG for ya..if I hear anything I'll def let u know

I have to agree about not seeing anything Northern Lights related that's been worth adding to the line up lately. 18 yrs ago we used to see NL#5 x OB( I believe this to be the original skunk number 1 also referred to as orange bud please correct me if I'm wrong) That hybrid was phenomenal, almost hallucinatory, but then again, it was 18 years ago, on another note I'm really excited about this........ (the Bodhi gear)

Sorry it took me so long. I know I said I'd post some pics by last Wednesday, but you know, shit happens. Working a "real job" and then getting home and taking care of my babies gets a little tiring.

My back hurts hahaha!!!

Anyway, I started to take individual pics of each plant while I was watering them tonight, but then decided I'd rather sleep. Super-low humidity has been an issue and also probably micro-deficiency issues (thanks for that @Bulldog11 and the others who offered help in that post of mine). These are two different group shots, just didn't have the time or the energy to take individual plant shots.

The first pic is all of them. The Apollo's are really easy to pick out, they're the bright green, super-vigourous, biggest plants. All of the Goldstars have kind of started developing really blue-black-purple leaves and are easy to pick out from the line-up, too. If the pic isn't too shitty, you can really see the blue-purple coloration on the Goldstar #2, which is the first one on the left in the third row from the front. The Goldstars also have very, very tight internodes. I'm gonna have to spread them apart big-time to get a look at pre-flowers haha. Those smaller ones are some Clusterfunks that I planted a week after everything else. Two are lagging, even considering the fact that they were planted a week later. But one of them is doing really well. Or rather, growing faster than the other two CF's.

Second pic is a closer shot of all four strains. The two in the background and the one in the foreground are three of the Apollos. That one in the foreground is probably my favorite, but I can't emphasize enough how well all five of the Apollos are doing. One of the Prayer Towers is the furthest to left in the middle row. Those are kind of getting a little dark blue, just like the Goldstars, although not nearly as intense. I'm sure the issues in my tent are contributing to the blue coloration on the Prayer Towers and Goldstars, but it looks like to me and my newb eyes that the Goldstars just kind of develop that gorgeous color naturally.

Super-cool watching the genetic expressions of each plant develop.

Shit.... There was something else I wanted to mention, but I just forgot it right now haha.

Yeah, I dunno what it was that I wanted to mention, totally forgot. If anybody sees anything in these photos that could help correct the issues with the plants (and there are definitely issues), please fell free to offer up some knowledge. Up-potted them a few days ago, watered them with an ACT Friday night, gave them a full-on watering with just RO tonight. Gonna foliar with TM-7 Tuesday morning and then we'll see what happens. Hopefully shit'll get corrected, but I'm still pretty happy with how they're doing. Plus, they fucking STINK.

Oh yeah, just remembered. There's one Apollo (#5) that's exhibiting the zig-zag Genius traits already. The rest haven't gotten big enough to tell, but they're all very, very branchy. Fingers-fucking-crossed haha!
