Bunkerkings Auto Flower Breeding Project

For sure. Also Chem p is doing well. Responded nicely to the topping. That is the trick to this light. Get more surface area. She is such a champ.

Looking forward to the critical x nl cross. They are both massive auto's that yield heavily. Good levels of cbd and thc. I will be giving a friend the plant to finish out at her place. This way we can pollinate it and not risk getting the others seeded. It should finish about a month later. Then she will only have 1 plant that's slightly behind the others for her summer grow.

edit: we are splitting the seeds, so she has a ton for the future.

There is just something really special about the suns spectrum. Even 2 or 3 hours of sun light makes them insanely happy.

I wonder if it's the uv.

Critical kush has joined the party as well.

@Kanzeon sorry one more quick question. You said you picked the early to mature seeds out of the plant, If I recall right. What do you do to dry them out?

I don't, really. Once they're finished (the pod is browned all the way down, the seed is dark brown and mottled) and the seeds are ready to fall off, I just collect them and put them straight into the freezer, where they stay until getting dropped.

Yah looks like dying tips = too early.
You want the seed pod to be yellowed out.

Time to wait for the rest to finish up.

Pulled out 15 mature seeds, and 1 immature seeds.

Hardly made a dent in the plant.
I will have lots of seeds to share with people.

I may end up with more like 60 seeds at the end of this.

Starting to spray ChemP with CS as well. Time to reverse that.
Will be using that on banana daddy this summer, and use it next winters projects.

30ish mature seeds so far, and just that 1 immature seed.
About 1/3rd of the plant has been pulled, still got lots more to go.
Have only found a handful of empty seed pods.

Makes sense, it barely put out any new pistils after getting seeded.

@Kanzeon do you find fresh seeds have a low gem rate/take longer?

The two seeds ive produced and attempted to grow never sprouted.
One from alf #5 selfing itself, and this cross.

They are the only two seeds ive had not sprout.

Not sure why that would happen, the seeds are healthy looking.

Nope. Honestly I've had fresh seeds be stupid vigorous (like the Col'Jam Bastard seeds that fell off of the mom, germinated, and grew in the same pot as the mom for 4-5 weeks before getting its own container).

As long as the temps and moisture level are right, they'll pop. It can take a few days to a week sometimes.

Maybe. I've also switched to a sterile starter mix for seedlings, that and a heating mat have both helped me.

BK, have you run any of @Poekie 's stuff? There are some rave reviews of his Magnum auto crosses around here.

The key to having seeds germ is to drop more than you want. If you want 4 plants and drop 4 seeds, 1 or 2 won't sprout every time because germination is a dark and mysterious art full of spite and karmic vengeance. If you want 4 plants and drop 8 seeds, somehow there will be 9 seedlings that pop.

I've never had a seed not germinate on me in all of my time growing weed outside of the two that came from my plant. :/ Maybe temps were not right, and they want warmer temps if they are super fresh. Ill try planting direct to soil. Normally I soak them in water.
