I can understand that, fish/seafood is definitely an acquired taste. I dont eat muscles or oysters cause yuck, but i eat most seafood, ive even had squid, very rubbery and not so tasty lol.
That’s funny. My sis and her husband live on a clean river. He is a hobbyist oyster farmer and also has some crab pots off his dock. He periodically pulls in some striped bass cruising the shallows. So we are always having grilled or fried oysters (and his are the mildest, most sublime I have ever tasted), plus crab cakes, etc. when we visit. You guys might change your minds after sampling some of his ersters.

Idk man, its something about the oyster itself i just dont like, ive eaten 3 or 4 and they just make me gag🤢

Mussles can be okay if theyre in like a seafood pasta, but thats the only way ill eat mussles.

Crab cakes are dank, my grandma used to make some bomb crab cakes but now she cant stand for more than 3 or 5 minutes so she doesnt cook anymore.

I love lobster and crab, shrimp is hit or miss, i like them cold with cocktail sauce, or coconut shrimp.

Ill also eat fried calamari with a dipping sauce, something like the zesty sauce for onion rings from burger king 👑

Im not much on fish sandwiches aside from tuna and mayo on toast..
I'll eat the ass outta some coconut shrimp with that orange sauce... but shrimp cocktail is a hard pass.

Hubs got a big fancy 🦞 last time we were in Maine, thinking maybe fresh lobster would be doable... nope, couldn't do it. 🤣
Its the texture isnt it?
Lobster is one of my favorite seafoods but the texture of it is definitely different.

I lived on the Gulf Islands for a while off Vancouver Island, Oysters were plentiful, I used to eat them a lot but a friend of mine had this thing that there is no such thing as an over cooked oyster...He had an oyster bed in front of his house and ate them almost daily. he'd put them on the stove on low heat at 8-9 am home for lunch t o flip them over and eat them for diner....

.Wasn't big on raw oysters......I ate 1 raw oyster 3 -4 times it kept going down my throat but the gag reflex brought it back up.....up and down this thing went until I finally hurled it out....No raw oyster have made it to my stomach

Mornin farm fam!
I got a huge surprise yesterday! I’ve been invited to shoot in the Mo. state championships Sierra Cup! Both on my own merits as well as part of a team. This is truly an honor, and I’m stoked! I won Shooter of the Year and club points made me eligible for this. I’m hoping to give the guys a run for their money! The only female out of eighty competitors… let’s do this!!!
Congrats!!!

I love sushi. I hated it at first but when I was in Tokyo surfing for NSSA I got a day to roam around with a japanese escort(not that kind of "escort") and she took me to the docks where they auction off the fish. She told me about the history and what is good and bad tuna. She took me to her favorite hole in the wall sushi joint and there were 3 sushi chefs trying to carry a whole tune minus head and tail into the restaurant. Now that's fresh!!! I got to taste "REAL" sushi for the first time and it was amazing!! Hamachi Toro Wins!!! I love barbecued Eel Too!!

Trout is delicious, especially lemon pepper rainbow trout. One of my favorite fish to catch and eat. I go up to Crown Point in april and may and fish the Putnam Creek. Ive caught some nice 14-18 inch brown trout and even the occasional 20+ inch steelhead, so much fun, i would trout fish all year if it was possible.
Depends on the type of trout.
