An now an Ahh Haa moment...Fuck I missed...that's in the book...I knew that...I dont like to do it.
Hey bro nice grow ya got going on in here. Im a big fan of that NL#5 myself and have some seeds, but they are mixed with Skunk#1 and then they were crossed. I had i big grow a couple years ago and grew them out and re vegged them, they were the NL and the cross. I havent grown from that pak of seeds but if i get one im making seeds for sure. BTW my friend gave me some Gainesville Green his last grow, killer.
If you still want to cut that plant in half, i would use a pantyhose to wrap around the plant with soil, coco or some mixture. I used it before to get a bonsai, iv grown them for 15 years and then grew a MJ plant and pretty much gave it up, lol faster reward. If ya want more info on the air rooting just let me know and i will give ya some details. Im working on getting some posts to send pm's if they are here, not sure yet. But like the site a lot. I will be watching your grow man i wanna see that MT get up an grow, lol.

No idea how to raise, feed, and prune a plant to be maintained as a mother. Definitely need some help in that department.

The organic way ;) : http://www.seedsplaza.com/create-feminized-cannabis-seeds-at-home.html
i use 5 gal pots and my temp runs high 70's currently - i water all every other day with about half gal eachWhat a day. I spent the day running around getting none of the clones I intended. The P98 Bubba, Headband, and Chem Sour D I was waiting for didn't happen. I have to delete that other diary. I ended up with NYCD, some sort of Mendocino Diesel, Chocolope, Trainwreck, and an NL5 cross.
Here's the kicker. Driving home with the clones in the back, I rear end someone while stopped at a traffic light. I dropped my shades and when I bent down to pick them up, my foot slipped off the break and I rear ended her. Damage was minimal and there were no injuries. I'm well insured, but she insisted on calling the cops. For better worse I've been in way more compromising situations with the po po and walked away.
It gets even better. The cops show up to take care of things. Turns out my license is suspended for a unpaid speeding ticket that I thought I resolved last year. Well, I resolved the ticket, but not the suspension. Ticket was with the city, suspension with the state. So, I didn't get arrested, but I had to call a friend and her mom to come drive me home. A small reinstatement fee will have me driving again. Oh joy.
Anyway, back to the point of this. The grow diary. I'll be running Subcool's Supersoil. I mixed it over a month ago. The only addition I made was to add a little more azomite and humic acid, as well as 10% growstones. Filled the pots a couple of days ago in this fashion:
1/3 Super Soil (about 2.5 gallons), then I mix about .5 gallon of Roots Organic (also with 10% growstones) with the top layer, then filled the rest of the post with the growstone amended roots soil.
For those of you doing the Subcool Mix, or a mix of your own, I highly recommend a compost tumbler for mixing. Apparently big mixes can be done in a cement mixer too. For $100 you can get a compost tumbler at Home Depot:

So, I finally make it home about 9pm with the babies. The little ladies (and I mean little) look sadder then hell, but they were nearly free, so if they all die, no huge deal. One thing I've learned over the past few grows is that this is the last time I get clones from anyone but me. Scouting my own seeds and nurturing my own mothers for clones seems far more optimal, and gives me a lot more control in the situation.
Anyway, I mixed up some of Caps trio tea mix, transplanted, watered, and hoped for the best. I'll wait to post pictures until there are new signs of growth. . .kind of like not telling people your pregnant until after the first trimester.
First question: This is my first soil run. I'm using 7 gallon pots. How much and how frequently should they be watered? My only experience is with coco until now. THANKS!

Were can you buy this subcool super soil - or should i say can you order it on line, as I know my hydro does not carry it. I'm also curious to find out people's oponion off it ?Great info, guys. OK, when I was using a 3 gallon pot and coco, I was feeding about a gallon per plant every other day and getting about 30% runoff. With these 7 gallon pots I fed 1.5 gallons per plant and got about 10%-15% runoff. However, the soil was far from drenched. Seems like 2 gallons per pot would be the magic number to give a really good drench.

Where is the best place to purchase a tent online ? also a air cooled vent for a 600hps sun system as I have an open reflector - didn't know any better at the time and heat is going to be an issue this summer.....peace soser - waiting for the 5th dimension - cool grow name do you increase a dimension for each grow..Long day in the garden, aka the basement. Rearranged EVERYTHING and setup a second tent for mothers and clones. My primary tent is called the 4th dimension, so this mothering tent will be the 5th dimension. That journey will be explored in a separate thread.
Gave the girls another feeding today and it seems like they are adapting nicely, maybe an inch of growth a week in Monday. Pics and more details tomorrow. Time for a beverage.

some plants just are finicky i have a blue widow that i germed the same time as a few other the bw is still only 8" tall and the rest are almost 24" depends on strain i guess...As promised, here are some more photos from the garden. Overall things are looking good. Plants have grown about an inch since being transplanted a week ago. One of the Bubba Kush's is looking weak however. Here are some photos:

All the other plants in the garden look fine. It looks like either over or under watering, but I would think other plants would be effected if that were the case. Any thoughts would be helpful. They are getting watered tomorrow, and I'm going to throw in some coco cat along with some bennies via compost tea.
Here are some more photos from the garden. A wide shot:
