So in interest of saving space and the nature of things, I butted "H" and "D", head-to-head and eliminated one.

"H" had a much wider, fuller stem that is lush to the touch and remains pliable as you go further down the stem, in direct comparison to "D", and "D" has been flowering longer. Granted, I did already cut the mains off of "D", you can clearly see a difference. Even if you compare the lower stems on "H" to be fair. Also, you may notice, but I had removed some dead/dying lowers on "D". The plant, altogether, was inferior to "H". So, one down.

First, "D"

More pics, sorry - my thread, lots of pics!

First up - "H"

I cut back the males to leave only the two most mature mains and the bottom ones will fill in over time. He is my forerunner right now for the Chems. Going to give it a little and watch how they develop before I cull the other. This one has a nice hollow stem.

Second up - "C"

The lesser desirable male... so far.

Third up - "G"

She is growing nicely. The leaves are short and stout. A little stretch. Early stages, she looks kinda like a headband I just culled for being a banana farm, lol. But I'm sure this one will turn out nicely as long as there are no major surprises.

"H" opened up, used it to play/practice seeding one branch of "G". The top nug was already cut off because of an oopsie on my part. So I figured I would use that branch to seed with. Also, having a mini heat wave here in California, not too bad though (94ish max) but makes it tough to deal without AC in that room. Been managing to keep it under 86f, usually it stis around 81 in the flower room though. Gotta love those Cali winter heat waves.

Notice "G" has very straight upward growth (it is similar to my NYCD cut, but smaller tighter buds for this time and stage), and in comparison, "A" has a distinct zig-zag pattern and much longer leaf blades. Oh, and MUCH more branchy. "G" only branched out each time I topped it whereas "A" branches as it goes.

bud shots and moved "B" into flower room. Veg-wise, "B" was not a favorite, not bad, just not great.

I just wanted to say that "G" is getting me very excited. It does not seem like it will be a huge yield-er, but the condensed goodness is looking better than I was expecting. Rubbing my fingers over some resin gives me a mostly pine smell. I would say there is something else in there too, something OG-ish. But pine is the dominant, as well as one of my higher preferences.

Pregnant "G" . Wow, 5 days later and the second picture shows one pretty well developed. (my first time seeding, not an expert opinion)

IMG 0799 IMG 0800

"A" is also peeking my interest. I can't tell much about the buds yet, but completely opposite of "G", "A" is pretty sativa leaning and very branchy. I am guessing it will yield larger than "G". Crystals starting (day 15ish), can see in picture 4.

Some pics of two clones from "A" to give you a good idea of mature leaf.

Today I had to cull lady "A". She started to throw out a batch of bananas and a testie. I have to say, I wouldn't have been so strict to toss a good plant at first sign, but over the last 8 or so months I have noticed that I am very likely allergic to smoking cannabis pollen. Anytime I smoke anything that has hermied from any source (my grow or from a collective), I break out in hives. And some plants can irritate my throat. All controllable by Benadryl, but still not worth finishing out a plant that shows this early. Luckily, I have not yet had a reaction to any plant that has not hermied (that I know for sure about). And I have tried a good many varieties over the last 8 months.

There was also a pregnant sac on a stem across, on the other side of the plant (can see the dark brown, sucked up hair set if you are able to zoom in. It could be a banana coming out of it, a stray pollen from myself handling a male, I don't know. But it was unauthorized :)

I will post pics of better news when they get a little further along or if something changes.

"G", by the way, is looking even better yet. Not too drastic a change from the last picture, so I will hold off for another day or two.

I am still most happy with "G" right now. Definitely not going to be a huge yielder, but they are the best looking buds in my [sample] garden right now. Pic pic hurray.

Trying out a video update. My apologies ahead of time for (list): fan noise, no editing, HPS lighting, me being stoned, etc. But if I did a lot to make the video (without the proper mood and inspiration) then I will get over making them altogether, lol. SO... I will only promise the bare minimum :) If you get more outta me, all-the-better. I put a list of the other plants in ithe Youtube description. Just click the "YouTube" at the bottom right of the video window.

When if first pinched it was... to say addictive would be putting it lightly. I surely thought I was the second coming of Edward Scissorhands creating top heavy monster that required a degree in bamboo engineering just to hold up.
aha.lol.,:-) ur just like me. i allways keep 1,single plant to ,TOP THE HELL OUT OF.LOL .i think it works well! and,it can help if your main colas are topped so there not ,,so dense,!. the weighs spread out more really with a dozen +. mains as opposed to a REAL THICK,COLA,?somewere its to damp + cold etc,!.. as ya,ll know. a crop can.be tatally turmned to mold during lights 1,nights lights out if your de humoidifier etc, heater ready. things go BAD /QUICK.LOL.

I just wanted to give a heads up in this diary that I wasn't very careful when seeding "G" so when I take pics of it and you see a lot of stay seeds, that was my mistake , sorry.

When I take more pics in the future it may not seem as good as it could be, but the truth will be in the smoke report!

Since it had a lot of random seeding sites, I was inclined to give (another) thorough hermie check, she is still all woman, as far as I can tell! Even after the two weeks of heat waves Bringing the tent temps up to 88 at some extreme points. So if she doesn't hermie, and tastes awesome, I may have a keeper.

some Chemdog 91 pics. The latest two that went into flower, both looking very nice. Definitely going to be bigger yielders than "G"

"G" smells like straight kerosene funk with a very slight hint of rotten fruit. "B" and "E" smell (the resin that is) more like what you would expect from a sativa leaning one. A little lighter scent, still a bit fuely/funky, but a tad more fruity than "G".

Unfortunately I found a small cluster of nanners on "G" today. Luckily, that is all I found and that the plant is pretty much done. However, that also means that "G" is not a candidate for the stable. C'est la vie

no pics yet, tossed the nanner cluster without thinking. I will take a pic or two as I cut her down. Right now she and her clone are sitting on the sidelines, on death row.

Good news on the other hand, "G" was a very low producer anyways, and "B" and "E" are still flowering strongly. The resin on "E" is even starting to smell like passion fruit. I hope that stays! But rarely does this early.

With"B" and "E" being the last remaining females, I now have just the two sativa dominant styles.

I took a sample from "G" a week ago, and sad to say that it had tons of og funk n flav. I may save the seeds I made and if I get a few free years (lol) I will try to breed out the hermie. "G" hermied even after having 10 to 15 percent seeded many weeks ago.

Edit: I have not seeded "B" nor "E" so they may be more susceptible. I check then everyday though.

Damn, I hate being allergic to the nanners, can't even make bubble with it, still got hives least time I tried.

Not too much difference since the 16th. Both not being very heavy producers (of course, it could be me. A first grow with a new genetic can be pretty unpredictable; or just use error...). Smell great, dainty branches. Needed tying even though they don't carry too much size.

And in the complete contrast to her sativa leaning sisters, "G" right before I started her on her final journey into the great garden above. My [now practice] seeding sites on this one worked out very well. Dozens of ripe seeds per nug. I only ended up finding that one sack of nanners so far. Half the plant trimmed, th'rest for another day.

Farewell "G"
