I've read this in various places .... One instance is a choir who had choir practice in Washington. Despite social distancing, their singing was robust enough to make the virus air-born.

I've also read that this happens most in highly infectious areas ... like hospitals with high numbers of infected patients. This is a twist from what was originally reported. I've seen it reported more and more recently. Google it .... there's a handful of sources citing different things that have led to that conclusion. It's at minimum an explanation they are seriously exploring right now. It's also led to stores in my area limiting the number of people inside.

Edit: Here's one ...

What i read was that 6 feet is an arbitrary number and our vapor can travel 10x that with the right conditions.

For example mointain bikers still riding populated trails are trying to stay back at least 50’ from the rider in front of them to be safe. More vapor from heavy breathing Well not all riders im sure. :-(

Or like a choir despite standing 6 ft or more away from each other and singing ... I can see that being a "right condition"

Thats against the executive order anyway. And this whole church gathering still is terrifying me.

the way it was described to me is it is spread by aerosol droplets, like if you were to cough it would travel in your saliva. Not so much just living in the air.

That happened a day before Washington issued the executive order I thought. However, you could be right. I read that article at least a few days ago or maybe even last week. All details are not fresh in my mind right now.

This is exactly the issue. Breathing, laughing, talking, sneezing, etc all put some saliva droplets in the air- it's what makes this so much different than working with food. It's like if raw chicken juice was being misted off of people periodically- there's no way to sanitize the whole environment. Especially if/when things get picked up and carried through ducting.

All people can do is wear masks, isolate, wash their hands, and sanitize things frequently. It's just gotta become the new normal for a bit.

Grocery stores in the area finally made limit of 1 person per household for shopping (are exceptions of course)

I think that besides catching the virus, one of the biggest fears that I have is not being able to be treated for it.
It is almost impossible to purchase anything to assist with breathing these days. Nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, blood oxygen sensors etc are in great demand, and mostly by healthy people that fear eventually getting ill.
I was pretty lucky and have what I need. (and I am relatively healthy). This is the first time that I have purchased stuff like this without actually needing it, but fear is a great motivator.

The number of scams on Ebay and Amazon are disgusting, as the crooks prey on the unsuspecting. As fast as they are taken down, new ones appear. One of the nastiest is the one where you buy a pricey item and get a free gift on Ebay. The free Cheapo gift is shipped and the item itself is not. Ebay is presented with a shipping and tracking document showing delivery..but not on the item you ordered. BEWARE!!!!!! (I didn't fall for it myself, but thought it good to expose)

From what I read, they will allow you to fill out a form on the net with your addy etc. but that was a few days ago.
