One thing I'm wondering is if coverage even really matters in such a small area. I can't imagine if I lst and scrog it will grow more in the middle than the edges.

I'm gonna say no.
If you get that 135W HLG light you linked earlier in the thread, I think its spread will be plenty adequate enough to be optimal for all of your footprint.
340mm is 13 inches, so you're talking, what? 6 inches on either side? The spacing on a lot of strip fixtures is 4-6" between strips and those are run at a lower power than boards.

I think I'm going to try 2 sf1000s so that I can get maximum coverage. Building my own light would probably be ideal but it seems too hard and I don't have the time. I'm choosing sf because it has a slightly better spectrum than the rest other than the hlg ones but they're too expensive for me to get 2 of them. I've never heard from someone with an sf LED that it was bad so maybe the extra blue might be okay. They have ir and deep red aswell which is good. Anything would be an upgrade over my current light. There are god and bad things about all of the lights but taking into account the price, ppf, coverage, spectrum, heat, efficacy... I think this is my best option.

It's tiny so the coverage won't be very good.

Viparspectra changed their spectrum graph for the p series. I don't see why it changed but I think I'm going to switch to that instead of spiderfarmer.
I noticed yesterday that the spectrum on the website was different than the one on amazon and now today they are both the same except that on amazon they actually show 2 different spectrums on 2 different pictures. Really confusing. It looks to be the same spectrum as the xs series. Maybe they did some new testing?

Actually, on their website it also shows 2 different spectrums depending on where you look.

Cause they typically lie about specs often copying charts of others and posting as thier own. This has been seen a shit tons with all the budget lights. It doesn't mean they won't work but it does mislead people.

I knew they lied about the ppfd maps but I didn't think they would lie about the spectrum. I find it hilarious that they wouldn't make sure it's consistent everywhere.

If people didn't buy 'em... they wouldn't get away with it.
It's easy to be overwhelmed and uncertain when you're going into the grow light market.
People just want a light that grows their plants and they want something that others have grown great plants with and so they get lured into believing that charts, reviews, and bunk specifications equal legitimacy.
It's just predatory commercialism like every other damn thing these days. So... for those of us who don't want to feel like they've gotten halfway to an electrical engineering degree, those bunk lights suffice. Because, at the end of the day, they do suffice... they just don't perform like their bunk charts and statistics say they perform.

They're so inconsistent with everything. The p1500 is less than $180cad on their us site but on the canada one it's almost $270cad for the exact same light.
Their p2000 is less than that, it's $255 if bought on the us site.

I just took a screenshot of the spectrum of the xs1500 and the new spectrum of the p1500 and I overlapped them and they're the exact same.

I also noticed on hlg that in their test for the 225 their spectrum was different than on their website.
On the test, there is equal blue as red but on their website, there is far more red than blue.

Which test? I belive hlg has all thier lights 3rd party tested or atleast verified. So im not sure I would buy it from a YouTube er if thats where
