It may be in my head only but I think when I jar up buds and the humidity drifts up to mid/high 60s and I dump them to a tray for 10/15 minutes and re-jar they seem to become more flavorful. My stoner theory is that a few cycles of doing this allows the internal moisture and flavor to get pulled throughout the bud more effectively.

Almost right. There are bacteria inside the flowers that continue eating chlorophyll until there is no moisture left. When we open the jar the grassy or amonia like smell is the gasses releasing from the action of the bacteria. After it dissipates the smell of the flowers terpenes comes through. If done gradually the flower smell should come out more and more.

Correct. Just opening a jar is fine but there are gases that will remain. That's why my curing is automated in a bucket. Like this

So maybe it's not just my imagination, I just feel like letting it dry so much that the humidity doesn't spike a little doesn't give the same tastiness. I have 2 jars right now that have gone to 67/68 RH and each 12 hours or so I've aired them a bit. They're both now down around 64 at day 4 of curing, maybe another two cycles of dumping/re-jarring will bring them to the 62RH sweet spot.

I never used jar meters or humidipacks. The buds from different plants are all different. I use smell and touch to judge when to burp and for how long. I only take them out if they are still too wet in the beginning. I leave a few inches of space so i can gently smoothly spin the jar to move the buds around so no surfaces remain touching for long.

Science is great but curing is more of an art in my opinion. Gets better with practice.

I can't wait until one of mine is completed. I was astonished at how decent that bud was after only 36 hrs in the dryer. Yesterday, I added the additional trays and began drying a Sherbet plant..Aromas are insane in that closet!

TBH..I am going nuts..trying to equate this type of drying with my old preconceived notions of hang drying.
Initially the buds feel too crispy and overdried..BUT they smoke great. After a few days, they begin to re-hydrate and the smell really comes out. I still have a few weeks of cure before I try again, but I have now put 4 plants thru it..each needing different drying times.

Experiment time!

Found a planned for seed that I missed before putting that nug in the dryer. Theoretically it should be fine, if not better, since it was dried at 75-80dF for 2.5 days in this case.

We should soon see..Just got it wet tonight!

Here's what I do...they come out great but I am sure I can do better. I chop the stems so I can hang them from something. After 3 days I trim everything keeping it on it's main stem. I hang them again for another at least 2 days all the way to 4-5 days. ( Bud size makes the difference ) After they feel dry but are spongy I chop them off the main stem and jar them up. Everyday 3 times a day I burp the jars for a good 15-20 minutes making sure I move all the buds too. I have even left them open for an hour at a time. After about a week, if they feel right to me, where most of the moisture is gone but not all, I then burp once a day for a week. By now, I pop in the Integra packs and let them sit for a couple days at a time to check on them. After another week they are good to go to sit without being opened all the time. I normally like to cure for at least 30 days after going into jars. Buds have always turned out fine for me. I don't mess with temps or humidity. I literally hang the bud on string from nails in my bedroom walls.

I never said what I did was best. Just saying what I do and even looking for pointers. I have had zero complaints on my cured bud. I am a more of a let it cure for at least a good 3 months to really have a smooth smoke. I am still curing from a harvest in November as well.

I would suggest you may want it drier before jarring. Would require less burping
