damn meeks you playing with the ouija board in the garden again??? ahahahah...Ive had it happen a few times worst has been a few hours I just left them alone when the lights came back on just continued them on regular schedule can't say I have ever seen it make my plants hermie or have any ill effects but if you lose it for a whole day or longer then Im sure it will start to have some effects on the plant but a couple hours is fine IMO! like cheese said I guess you just have to have a back up generator if its a reoccuring problem for you or if it makes you lose sleep!

anyways those plants look pretty sexy under candlelight!!

that blows donkey balls. power utages suck big time. they happen quite frequently around me in the summer. i know in la they have rolling brown outs where they just turn your shit off for awhile to conserve energy. when it would happen to me i would leave the light off for the remainder of the light cycle as to not get hermied out. if youre really stressed off this happening you can get a generator. can get a good 1 that will run your lights for 500 or go with a less powerful 1 to run 1 light for around 300. thats all i can really think of that would help

wow, I can't believe I didn't even consider the photoperiod being dark for 5-10 min could have triggered a full night cycle and then confused them with the lights came back on without a full 12 hours. . . . dammit! Thanks for pointing that out so politely Cheese! I haven't seen any sign of stress from the event. The girls have been getting a nice flush for a couple days now and they are looking more amazing than I had hoped! I will be busy until tuesday most likely, but pictures coming by then for sure!

thank god u dont live up here anymore....the worst ever for that stuff....

LOL, I wouldn't mind a power outage here and there if my power and water was as cheap as it is in Seattle! I could buy a new generator every month with the money I would save! Thanks for checkin' in Kush! You got any updates I am missing over in your log?

LOL! they were getting all greased up and looking amazing in the candle light! My camera just didn't want to take good pictures and by the time I got a setting that might have worked, the power came back on, so I was like "f- the pictures, I gotta blow all these candles out before my fans blow fire into the plants!"

I think my plants are fine, although now that I think about it, my tray 2 plants haven't looked nearly as happy the last few days, and wonder if it was a slightly delayed onset of some stress from that outage. . . . w/e life goes on.

I might get a generator going on sometime down the line, but not right now. This is my last run for a little while, so I will make improvements in the summer most likely.

Like I told Cheese, picture update coming tuesday most likely. Got a ton of other stuff going on right now, but the girls are looking great! Way fatter than the first time I grew this genotype!

If my lights go out during lights on I juss keep the lights out 4 the rest of the lights on cycle I'll let them get more then 12hrs sleep.. I figure it's kinda like if they were outside & the sun didn't come out b'cuz of a storm or sumthin.. More sleep won't hurt them..

Its all good bro, anytime. I think you're far enough along that it wont hurt anything. I think it will only affect them early on with frequent outages. It sucks cuz we have enough to worry about with the lights staying on haha. Keep it lit fam

This will be my mode of action if I have to deal with power outages during lights on in the future! Thanks for sharing MG, its sounds like that is the common approach! To be totally honest, I am pretty embarrassed that I handled it the way I did. . . with all my time spent learning how plants work, I have heard many lectures on short-day plants (A.k.a. Long-night plants) and how interruption of the dark period, even for a split second, can disrupt the flowering cycle. . . . and then I go and try to turn lights back on after 10 minutes in the dark. . . . . like a newb! Next time they are taking an extra long mid day nap, straight into nighttime, and then they will get lights back in the morning! I dunno how comparable to a cloudy day that is, since a cloudy day is still extremely bright compared even to the candles I had burning. . . but it certainly makes sense to keep the dark period a full 12 hours at minimum, so I think your right, more sleep is better than a shortened dark period causing stress!

I think your totally right Cheese! The WiFi don't look like they missed a beat, while the plants in tray 2 (just getting started in the flowering cycle) are looking like they are confused as hell by the photoperiod! I don't think there is much I can do to help them get back on track other than wait it out, but right now I am just trying to convince myself the problem was the power outage. . . rather than the possibility of root aphids that may or may not have come in with the 2 plants re-gifted back to me from a homie. . . .! Beneficial nematodes are being deployed for defense tonight! And my fingers are crossed that I am just paranoid from all the negative hype about RA's here on The Farm!

Picture update still set for tomorrow! Just got out of an exam. . . finished my study guide 20 min before I had to take the test. . . .I think I aced it!

Stuff looking killer as always Meeks. Good work.
Thanks a bunch Green Punk! Those pictures are over a week old at this point. . . . picture everything 3x the size + a few minor deficiencies coming on and you will have a good idea of how everything looks right now! New pics coming tomorrow!

Root aphids are a son of a bitch. They just took out half of my vegging plants andfor stunted the other half
. If you have caps bennies I would use them now. I've been using them and seems to have those fuckers in check. Hopefully that's not the case. Looking forward to the update bro.

Gonna order his bennies no doubt at this point. . . just gotta pull the trigger on it!

I am hoping its not the case also. . . but the longer I try the 'wait and see' approach, the more nervous I get! Hopefully the fact that I always pretreat with Azamax, and just deployed beneficial nematodes, will keep them at least partly in check if they are in my garden. . . then I can nuke my veg mothers with something gnarly before I go on vacation and come back to a nice sterile room!

Anyways, I decided there was no point waiting until tomorrow to take pictures, since I was just relaxing and smoking bowls tonight! So check back in 15 minutes or so for new pictures taken just an hour ago!

Hey farmers! I hope everyone had a great 4/20 last week! I think it is awesome how social this community became that day! Thanks to everyone sending positive vibes to their homies Friday, I think it really makes this place what it is, that we aren't just hear to copy someones nutrient regime or buy seeds (nice perks though)!:)

I have been super busy these last couple months, but just because my updates to The Farm have become a little less frequent, doesn't mean my devotion to my plants has dropped in the slightest! Da WiFi and the WU-B (woo-bee) are both looking fantastic and are completely on cruise control at this point! I began the flush a few days ago, and the WU-B might come down this weekend if I'm feeling like she is ready!

Da WiFi's phenotype has changed significantly since the last time I grew it. . . almost made me question if I had mixed up my labels. . . but that didn't happen, I just kept the plants much happier this time, and it resulted in tighter nodes and larger buds!

Here are some photos I took about an hour ago, take into account that these were taken roughly 30 min before lights out, so the plants were not quite as perky or resinous as they would be tomorrow morning when I was planning on taking photos. . . .but they just looked so good, I couldn't resist doing it tonight!

This last picture is off a double bud that started right at the point of the double leaf mutation I showed earlier! This is not the result of super cropping or topping. . . just a natural mutation that caused the top to split in 2!

And here is a quick top shot of the WU-B:

Starting to change color even more on lower leaves that aren't pictured!

Well, I hope you enjoyed the pictures! :D

I can't wait to see if I get any color in the leaves or buds this round. . . last WiFi run my flush was only a week and this round it will be a full 2 weeks!

Thanks for checking out my grow, all comments and feedback relating to anything previously mentioned/shown in the thread are welcome, and of course, I am happy to answer any questions I know the answer to!

Thanks Mitch! I sifted through 85 pictures to post these tonight, and as you can tell, I have been zooming and cropping pictures to allow for better viewing! Still no editing besides that done to any pictures. And what I find to be surprising, I have been getting these photos during lights on, directly under the 1000w Dual-Arc! Because the light spectrum is much closer to natural light, I am able to use programmed picture modes that help tremendously, versus having to use manual white balance and other settings under the 1000w HPS. It really means a lot to hear that I am improving, thanks again!

Oh my god. Absolute dankness. nothing more to say.

Short and sweet, Thank you very much NB!

Haha, the more experience I get working with cannabis and other plants in general, the more my passion for growing increases! It's a full time job, but it hardly feels like work! Thanks for the generous compliments Cheese! I enjoy sharing what I do that much more when people are enthusiastic in their response!

You're very welcome bro you deserve every single 1. I can dig it. This has become my passion over the passed few years. What kind of camera are you working with?

:D! My digital camera is a Canon PowerShot SD870 IS and iPhoto is telling me its lens is 4.6-17.3mm and the image size is 3264x2448 . . . . I don't know enough about photography to tell you what the hell that means, but I sure would love to learn! I have had this camera model since 2006, which is remarkable because of how fast the digital world advances, I think this still holds its own!

Pffew man, saw the potency some weeks ago, but this is just sick, they look powdercoated.
I got to get me some Wifi`s too.
Very nice job bro;)

Thanks Krasi, I still don't know how you knew those colas would fill in from so early on. . . you totally predicted that and I am the one with experience growing this genotype. . . .I trust your eye! Powder coated is a solid description of how they look, but I prefer diamond encrusted! Haha! I love Da WiFi for its classic leaf margin roll that adds that frost to the borders of the leaves in pictures and looks beautiful in night time shots! I will have to take a few of those of the group tonight! I would always recommend getting a pack of WiFi to any grower!
