That dude just shit all over this guys thread with a potato plant in coco.yeah we wanna go backwards to old days of lugging pots and checking run off and watering plants every 3 days haha.someone going from DWC to coco and bending down and over shit with 20 odd plants under scrogs is like doing your own hemmoroid surgery.once your start, about halfway through it you'll wish you never started.
He needs to take that eagle claw potato plant to his own thread.just saying.
Calm down... just imagine this is your kid, or if you are as old as me, lol, then grand kids lol..

Sometimes you gotta show tough love to these young whippersnappers.make them.earn there place.people that have to work harder for something tend to respect it a little better.

Somehow, I tend to agree with that 100%.. But for the sake of sanity, mine, I prefer to not let people upset me, as much as I can..
After being someone that was prone to easy anger, in my later years im trying to put it to bed..
Really the more secure you become, the less angry other people make you..
WITH EXCEPTIONS!

Yes sir. I'm gonna be using a small res no matter what so this just eliminates the need to mess with the pH every day. I'm going to experiment with keeping it at exactly 5.8 for a few days vs. letting it drift in a range, and see if the plant prefers one or the other.

What you basically posted was dwc. An excellent way to grow. Pretty much what your doing now. Realize that your lights are very very under powered as well as shitty lighting. So really, everything you got needs replaced but your meter. You are looking at 500. Maybe a lil less. Maybe 400 if really good shopper.. And patient.

As for dwc, you might as well build a 4 bucket rdwc..
You need a 600 watt vented hood mh/hps.. $150 or so
Then 120 for 4 bucket waterfarm setup
another 75 on nutes/ph/beenies/calibration fluid
$100 for 4x4 tent.

Did you say you had a ph CONTROLLER?

Now you are talking brother! With that we can do a lot!
Really its about money from here..
I have a controller to..
You got couple nice pieces right there.
So how much you want to spend on a light? and a system?
My system costs 1200.00 plus 300.00 for a chiller
Mt first system costs 225.00
Its all about the money.....

I'd prefer to spend the money and do things right, rather than continually running into problems, continually upgrading stuff and changing my set up around, etc.

That's very good philosophy to have. Well I would suggest you look around and pick a couple you like, and then post them, and i give you pros and cons..

lol, just for a laugh between us, you got a 50 system with 500 worth of electronics.. Reminds me of my first car.

I didnt say raise ppm, I said up their feedings..
I apologize, I can see you are new, and really dont understand and I should of been more clear.
When I said up thier feedings, I meant the frequency, as in if you are watering them once a day, now do it twice a day to 15% runoff. Once at lights on, and once 9 hrs later(in veg).
I dont have no idea what your ppm is so I would never just blatantly tell you to raise ppm without first asking you where you are at now, and what nutes...
So what is your nutes and ppm so I dont get you jacked up? Then lets let OP have his thread back..
Sorry my friend I worded it badly.

Im Old also :-( I Blame age :-)

@EventHorizan will do. Ya, I'm just gearing up for my next grow at this point. :)

OK so here's what I'm looking at today ...

This is one of the bottom fan leaves. Droopy and covered in brown "rust" spots. Tiny brown spots are even starting to appear near the tips of leaves higher up, and even on some of the new growth now. The whole plant is still droopy.

I've raised my temps as you guys recommended. Hopefully it's not too late.

I added a bit of extra calmag yesterday just to make sure there's enough in the solution, so I'm back up to around 600ppm.

This DOES look like a deficiency right? Or could something else cause this?

New growth up top still looks decent, but droopy ...

Calcium deficiency. Got any purple on your stems anywhere?

Funny thing is I had lots of purple stems a few weeks ago, but it has slowly gone away to the point where it's just about completely gone at this point.

My Technaflora nutes call it MagiCal, and it's basically the same as Cal-Mag. I actually just added a bit extra yesterday.

I've been running my nutes at about half strength. Would you recommend bumping up the cal/mag to full strength? I added an extra 2.5ml to my ~2 gals of solution yesterday, but not sure how much more to add.

I think most people run anywhere from 2.5-5ml of cal/mag per gallon, right?

oh well give it time them!
Perfect.
Well give me a pic of these nutes and links and we make them work. You seem to have a little common sense.. Between both of us, we can prob get thru a grow with them..

Here's the nutes I'm using (came with the supercloset box):

Here's the "recipe" for veg where I'm at now. This is what they recommend per gallon.

Full strength is around 1100ppm, so I've been using HALF of what's shown below to achieve ppms around 550-600.

But that also means I've only been giving about 1.25ml of cal/mag per gallon for the past few weeks ...
