HID FTW.
im telling you guys these are the best lights on the market at the moment https://thegreensunshineco.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Home-Page-Background-Blackbg.jpg im useing 4 of the 300 sieries and growing 25 plants veg to flower in 15 gallon pots and getting 15 lbs of dried and trimmed bud on every grow ...my smallest was 10 lbs and biggest was 15 lbs
HID FTW.
Think 2.5x5 area each. Which is about 27w per sq ft. Kinda low especially when less efficient by that margin and definitely not optimal for co24 330w lights with a 2x4 reccomended area each grew 15 pounds?
Maybe wet. ;-)
Im just gonna bail now... Aqua and lights don't mix well

my favorite bulbs have almost doubled in price. This happened to guitar amp tubes when crappy digital amps came out. Tjey were the blurple of the guitar world.

God I feel that. $60-70 for a matched pair of 6L6s. Unholy. At least tube amps themselves are getting cheaper
When i tried cheap hps bulbs they were much redder than the hortilux to my eye and one out of two failed in the second month. I have never had a horty bulb fail and they go a good 10 months before i notice growth slowing conpared to the cheapo that went maybe 4.
and i just found grow green michigan has the 600’s for $75. Thats only 10 more than i was paying before at plantlightinghydroponics.
Yeah they arent all built the same for sure. The ones i have are easily as blue as the hortilux. Ive got one of each hung in the room at the moment, one hortilux and one cheapo.
These are the ones ive been buying, i can highly recommend them.
Light EnerG High Pressure Sodium Lamps | Homegrown Hydroponics
LightEnerG Super High Pressure Sodium Flowering Lamps are designed to outperform standard HPS lamps. They have a light spectrum shifted towards the red making them ideal during the flowering stage of growth with added blue spectrum for vegetative growth efficiency.
