Next time start training your plants before you put down the net. I didn't go through the entire thread but when I do a scrog style grow I top the plant after it grows past its 5th node. Once you do that you'll see side branching start to develop. If I'm growing photos, I'll FIM them a week before I change the light schedule to promote more bud sites and will defoliate them the same day I change the light schedule for flower.

I usually don't vegetate them more than 3 weeks before I change the light schedule. If I vegetate them longer than that the tent gets too overgrown.

As has been mentioned, try using cloth or air pots so that your plants don't get root bound.

Day 53:
Same news; tucked them some more today but other than that pretty much ignoring them until I need to do something. Watering in around 2 days probably, feeling lighter but not drooping so I’ll give it a few more days. What do you guys think? Gnats are mostly gone it looks like.

I don’t know if it’s possible but if you can lower the net another six inches carefully, as it bends the branches below it they can be spread out a little more, that will help fill the canopy and possibly get some lower growth to come up to the net.

Day 54:
Moved the net down a little bit, watered all with 700ML water and nematodes. 1 plant had no run off, the other three had a little bit but not much. No nutes again. Do these leaves at the bottom look ok, just the plant trying to get more nutrients?

They look like they might be getting too much light, can you raise up the light some? If not what's your light dark cycle might try shorting the light cycle

I do noon to 6 pm lights off so 18 hours light on, 360W MH light at around 30 inches from top of the plant. I can move it up more if needed, but what makes you think light stress?

Where those pictures taken before watering, soil looks dry in the pictures, if so check back and see if they bounced back after watering

Some times the droopy leaves is too much light when the roots aren't bleeding to take up enough nutrients. If my plants are stressed at all I always turn down or raise my lights. When the plants green up and start reaching for the lights I turn them back up, but slowly. This is my Gound Zero, going to flip them this weekend.

Day 55:
Moved the light up a few clicks, other than that not doing much. Tucked some more branches. Most of the branches are at least close to the net. What do you guys think?

Looking good, leaves are starting to reach up a little. How long till you flip them?
Was thinking either tomorrow or sunday. Was gonna do it today or yesterday but I caught a stomach bug so wasn’t feeling too motivated. Would you wait longer?

You could flip or wait, I would recommend flipping soon though
I plan on doing 6 pm -6am light off, would this be if they’re used to lights coming on at 6pm? Also, people I talk to that I know personally all swear by the 24 hours of dark when flipping, but I just couldn’t imagine that it’s necessary since mother nature never has that.

that won’t make a difference. As far as light strength get the photone app, and try to keep the Ppfd somewhere between 300 -400. The app isn’t perfect but is close enough and helps get your light dialed in. It’s free for android and 6.95 for iPhone. Good tool to have use it as a guide and let the plants tell you what they want. Plants look good though, definitely ready to be flipped. The first 2 weeks you’ll get the trellis full.

It is around 300ppfd, but I’m using a MH light so i’m not sure how accurate it is. I still need to get a light dinfuser so it’s more accurate.

directions to make a diffuser are in the app, take a plain piece of computer paper and wrap around your camera, tape two ends together and slide it on and off

Day 56:
Flipping tomorrow, lights will be off from 6am to 6pm. Would you guys trim anymore than this?
Anything else I should be doing before flipping?

Before flipping no, after flipping focus on any branches that stretch , trying to fill in any gaps in the trellis net. Over the next three weeks they may continue to stretch, as they fill out you’re going to want to focus on defoliation of any leaves covering bud sites or new growth.

Day 57:
Lights go off at 6pm. Would you guys recommend keeping my inline fan off during night time? I have 1 fan blowing ones air into the tent from the lung room and an oscillating fan going. The inline fan runs through the light since it’s an HPS light. Also, do these spots have a reason to be concerned. It’s only on one leaf, but some other leaves look like they’re clawing downward at the ends. Maybe they’re hungry for nutes? What do you guys think?
