How I clone:

Been asked to post this multiple times, finally getting a chance to take pics as I do it.

Step 1 - clean and sterilize cloner and all working bits. Sorry for the upside down pics, I'll edit later

Clean first at high concentration.

Dump water and refill, there is enough H2O2 left in the remaining water to still read 10PPM

Run it with the 10PPM overnight to get every surface

Begin environmental control systems in this cloning box.

Now, plan out the clones

So I will be able to keep track of what is what. I'll have 6 clones from each of the 6 plants.

If half are female, I'll have 18 viable clones. I only need 8.

I already switched to flower lighting so tomorrow AM I need to cut each of these plants 6 times then flower ASAP. More updates tomorrow.

Eventually I will make a sticky on using an aeroponic cloner step by step, for now I'm dumping these here. I fully suggest you 😡 this post if you know all this already.

After running overnight, there is still detectable H2O2.

Dump and refill with RO to running depth.

Add nutes and verify PH.

Add beneficials.

Now I'll let this stir a bit and then make some clones. I love the smell of vegging plants, this is a labor of love. The act of propagating life can be pretty zen if you let it.

That makes sense.
I suppose my logic went more the way of needing higher PPMs because the plant doesn't have a constant availability like when dipped into their nutrient solution.
I wonder, too, how the added oxygen/air exchange and water droplet-size will effect it.
And further yet, how root responses will come into play... it's my understanding that they're able to secrete a myriad of organic molecules as responses to whatever stimuli.

Sorry, got my head in the clouds. Good stuff!
Turns out your prediction was correct so far. I'm running higher PPMs than I would in hydro.

No si? Just curious I personally quit using it just not a great benefit to my grow , maybe I should try again ?
I don’t know yet. This is a first for me running dry nutes. This system is tailor made to do side by side nute analysis so I’m trying to take advantage of the extra control.

8 of those clones are going back into this system and I’ll be measuring stuff like brix and trying to tune the nutes. It’s kinda the last thing I have left to play with. And the lighting

And @Anthem made me do it and I’m kinda scared of him.

I push the boundaries. Sometimes destructively, but always instructively. Follow along and laugh and learn with me if you wanna try to chase maximum plant potential!

So it's no secret I have been working with Aqua man on some new ways to do things. This is what I am working on in my part of the world.

I've only seen great result from fogponics... I do Dwc.. different forms of hydro.. dwc tends to be very simple if you understand ph ppm and how water Temps effect the water ph ions.. a water chiller keeps the water at 68 degrees.. which will keep any bad bacteria from growing in the rez.. there are some product on the market to help combat bad bacteria with good bacteria... clearez or hydroguard... ph is the most important factor in hydro... ph swings do damage fast...

Getting there Moe.
Saw your clone pics. At first I was taken back by the size you clone but than I have to ask what are they like when they are finished. Height wise.
I'm used to working small. No guarantees but I expect every one to be healthy.

Don't much care about the height, just the roots. You don't need much respiration for growing roots for transplant.

Moshman. The bottle at the left, is his SI. IMO the best stuff out there for Monosilic acid. It is called Silicium
Ha, I thought he was typing like aqua and trying to use a little Spanish too, and was asking why am I changing nutes.

Yes, I always use SI, first time with this one tho.
