Is your fan pointed at the plants? If so try and reposition it so that it's not directly hitting them and keep it on low or medium. You're trying to move air not introduce them to a hurricane!!!
Direct air will dry out the plant too fast and possibly wind burn the leaves.
If you can, try hitting up some of the second hand stores like Goodwill for a humdifier. I found a good working humidifier for $6 and it keeps the environment within the range I want unattended without me having to manually apply humidity.
