It has me thinking for sure. Me and KMK were talking about it lastnight and we both have the same shit from FF and the same issues.. Im afraid of hydro but i guess im gonna have to look at some sort of alternative. I love the simplicity of soil until recently. Bubble buckets are looking like a viable solution at this point..or maybe hempy buckets..I have alot of research to do now and figure out a solution.

I learned a trick from my professor to deal with soil gnats and other egg laying critters. He suggested a couple different methods. First he suggested covering the top with 2 inches of sand or he suggested making a cardboard insert that would fit in the pot over the soil, while leaving room for the stem etc. This blocks the critters direct path to the soil and makes it considerably harder for them to reproduce.
