Look online for Mr Slim. Also I can get them and ship them to u. Might be cheaper than that. Need ur zip code to check shipping costs. PM me with the zip code if u want me to check.

I have a question .
I'm almost done building my 6000 watt room. Dimensions are 11x12 and I have decided to buy a aura 24k btu mini split. My question is I have a dedicated 20 amp breaker on 240 for my ac but the guys at my local garden shop say I need 30 amps minimum but I'm confused because from the look of it mathematically 20 Amps Is GOOD enough. The ac is pumping out 8.8 amps so if it's on a 20 amp breaker is that not good enough ? Here is the link of the ac from a retailer. I'm getting mine for 1350

FYI that unit is not very good. Their info should include minimum breaker size but they don't. Also their warranty is super weak. Assuming 8.8 amps is amp draw then 20 amp breaker should be enough. But I don't trust their numbers ( might only be compressor).

I have couple of buddies rocking their 36k btu model and have been killing it for almost 2 years and everyone I know have had good reviews about them but reading this tripped me out ha ! I'm about to buy their 24k model for 1350 out the door but I would be down for another model but only want to spend 14 or less. Maybe after a couple runs I'll upgrade

Just my opinion. I am a Mr Slim man. Love the price and quality. Can't get a 2 ton for what u want to spend. Most systems have more install issues than equipment IMO but it seems that the cheaper shit has more problems in my years doing this. Best of luck.

Buy cheap and Buy often,is that really a good plan?

I want a mr slim but my money is tied up and my room is already built so I must go forth and purchase a unit unfortunately. I'll use the mini for a run or two sell it and upgrade to a mr slim

I understand completely.

I understand completely.

Found this on Craigslist
Mitsubishi Mr. Slim 2ton mini split 24,000 Btu/h 19 Seer Mitsubishi Single-Zone Mini Split Heat Pump System - MUZGE24NA model. Great condition. Most efficient model on the market...save yourself hundreds on electric bill each month (when compared to a cheap, low seer model) - $1200

I'm going to see if he still has it and if it's still available also how old it is. Is buying a used mini split on Craigslist safe ? I would need to test it

That's a good deal. Almost too good. All depends on if it works properly and it was pumped down properly when it was removed. Can't test it unless u install it.

Hopefully he emails me back so I can ask for it to be installed or would it be possible to hire a hvac to inspect the unit for problems ?

Hi John, been looking around and i think you're my guy for this.., looking for an AC unit recommendations for 10'x10' R-30 insulated shed/growroom in progress, all LED lights. Gets hot i'm in SoCal (619) but I was wondering if you thought I needed any more than a ~6,000ish BTU AC and if there were any brands or units you'd recommend? Planning for a window unit and to cut a wall hole to the right size before insulation goes up but there's so much info out there I'm having trouble sorting and looking through it

I'm in San diego brotha and I highly recommend you to have 14000 btu or higher. Especially since we're in sd and heat is an inevitable happening as well as its better to over kill then under kill with ac and also it is ( your room ) in a grow shed which naturally will be fucking hot even though you're rocking led bro

All depends on how much light and where u are in SD. I live in SD also and temps vary a bunch thru out the area.

Thanks you two for the input really appreciate it, John I'm in east county area but got lots of eucalyptus shading it for the entire day. The shed is up on 4x4 runners and plan on putting four 6" passive intake square vents using a bug - proof mesh on the floor which will be countered by the sucking from a 8" 720 cfm fan with speed control.

I hope that gives some venting insight.
Once entirely lit it shouldn't use more than 2000-2400w to power all the LED units I plan on running. Doing soil too if that's a factor.

East county is hot. I located near east county and the heat is amongst us. The only reason why I suggest a nice size ac unit is because it's better to buy a heavier unit and it works less then a small unit that works hard. Wish I knew too I just sold my 14000 btu portable ac on Craigslist ! But I know led draw less heat I just suggest a heavy ac because of your actual growing location granite it is shaded it's because it's in a shade. But that's just my suggestion I'm a indoor type of guy. Im going to cool my 6000 watt room with a 24000 btu mini split. Best of luck to you brotha and happy gardening! Nice to see a couple of SD heads in the farm !
