I'm almost ready to get my AC system and have a few more questions.p
- I've now seen a bit of negative feedback on mini splits (which is what I was going to buy) and want to know if there is a better option?
- the mini I was going for is a 5 split 60k but know I'm having second thoughts.

Thank in advance.

Would be happy to do that for u. When you're looking to get something done PM me and we can exchange contact info. Have a great day

Mini splits are great but don't buy cheap. The Chinese shit is just SHIT!!! What brand? Why 5 zones?

Prob going with a mitsubishi and 5 zone because there's 2 flower rooms with co2 burners, ballasts inside, fans, 2 blowers and a veg room with lots of T5's so after adding up everything I was thinking to go with that mini.

Thanks SnW.

Seen Excelair.ca systems but idk if anyone know of their products?

And also pertaining to the 5 zone - I wanted 2 units per room, one at each fare end to help evenly cool.

Mitshibushi doesn't make a 60k unit. Their 5 zone unit is only 48k and super expensive. Not sure anyone makes a 5 zone 60k unit. That's why I asked what brand. How long are your rooms?

Expensive stuff because it's made for our industry. If you are having it professionally installed get a residential 60k unit with one air handler, duct work, and zone controls installed.

Mitsubishi def makes a 60k model. They have 9k and 12k zones. I've already talk to a salesman on the units. And yes it's pricey. Just under 5 grand with the opinions I want.

It's expensive yes but money spent for units isn't my concern. My concerns are noise produced by outside unit, monthly electrical costs, how efficient the system runs, if unit is low maintenance, installation requirements and stuff of that nature.
I def don't want to have to redo the set up in a 1 or 2 because of avoidable situations.

Thanks SnW.

It's expensive junk. Only 13 seer which is lowest available. Mitshubushi does not list a 60k outdoor unit on their website. They have a 48k which u can attach up to 60k worth of indoor units but outdoor unit can only do 48k. They assume you won't need full cooling in all zones at once. You may need full cooling all at once. Get me a model number of outdoor unit. I think the salesman maybe pulling a fast one on you. Mr slim units are one of the quiestest on market.

Look at the rated capacity btus for outdoor unit. It is 42k not 60. It's what I said except it's only rated for 42 not 48 like I said.

What does this mean?
Maximum AH Capacity 63000 BTU

Can it hit that BTU or?

No it can't. It can do 42k total at one time. They assume you'll not need all 63k at one time. In your application you could need it all at once. Where are u located?

ill be installing my new 14k portable ac this weekend. ive been thinking about this for weeks now about a design change. I currently have the a/c cold air being "sucked" into my flower room by my 8" intake fan (fan sucks cold air into room, not force fed from the ac unit. the fan is about 1.5' from the floor on a side wall.

I was thinking about having the new a/c air fed/blown directly into the flower room via a new hole in the side wall up high (slightly higher than my hood ducting or equal in height, top of hoods are at 7'). the ac would then be pumping all the cold air in from the top, and then settling down to the floor (hot air rises, cold air sinks). my 8" intake fan would be on a timer to run 7-7 when the a/c is not running.

any ideas or should I just keep things as they are and as they have been for 4+ years w/o any issues?
