No. I'm good. I don't get infestations and fungus problems. And I'm not going to do that for a tent in the house. That's silly. And no. Workers don't have to get changed before they work. They come dressed. They leave dressed. It's theater. I'm not gunna shave their heads either. Taking steps and precautions is called spraying. Stupid suits and thinking clean rooms work is a waste of square footage time and effort.

No. I have a canvas jumpsuit I spray down with sanitizer before I enter my personal grow. I prefer suiting up to visit my girls rather than having to suit up to have to spray them down with pesticide.

So you don't just go naked covered in hand sanitizer? You sound crazy. You should be cracking open a new clean suit each time. And if you haven't shaved all the hair off your body by now. Well.... you know...

I don't do that either, but my space is friggin clean when I am growing. My hands are too. Once I start the grow no sanitizers, chemicals or anything goes on my plants or in their water.

I have never even seen a spider mite.

Never get PM.

I have no idea how to help people troubleshoot bugs because the only time I see them is on this forum.

Taking a shower is enough. I did get spider mites once at home. Turns out the fig tree had spider mites. Had to get rid of it. I spray for bugs and fungus at least twice. Fungus. That only happens to the femenized plants I've grown.

I guess I am not a good one to go by on that because I am in an all out war against fungus down here because of the mushrooms. They require absolute sterility for many steps of the process.

I get bud rot so uncommonly because of it. And when I got it on my Diet Durban I had to shut down mushies until I got it under control. Just cutting off an infected bud and walking thru the space with it releases thousands of spores. Good thing they are not viable long.

So I guess my feedback is skewed. Maybe if I had worse conditions I'd get more fungus on feminized? My gut says no but

I think it is just a case of me being unlucky and buying bunk fem seeds over and over again. Literally have never seen the types of fungus and disease before I bought femenized seeds. If you crammed a grow over full with bad venting you might get PM. But so far I cannot find seeds with better genetics than the local clone guys have. Shrooms are getting popular again. But I'm not going down that path again. For shrooms I'd basically do a clean room with a clean entrance. In my house the grow is the cleanest and best conditioned air in the house. I'm dialed in except for finding a nice exotic smoke no-one else has that doesn't get little seeds in it. Clones of known good sure. But nothing unique worth sharing so far. I didn't realize just how hard it is to get good exotics. The worst part is you think it went well until you're trimming and see the problems. And knowing if you had used clones it would have been nice buds. But its worth hunting since I have a smoke supply regardless.

The answer is yes, feminized seeds can provide big grows.
I’ve grown lots and lots of fem seeds. No fungus. Ever.
Some confused hermie bitches tho. (I’m pretty sure that’s how they identify).

So does anyone ever just use feminized seeds to grow in tent instead of auto flower? Do you get a good gro with just feminized seeds vs auto flower seeds I guess is what I'm asking?

I've been growing in my 2x4x5 tent for 6 years. I mostly grow feminized photoperiod plants. I have recently run 2 autoflower grows that I was very happy with. I grow in Build-a-Soil with their dry flower amendments and their craft blend soil revitalizer between grows with excellent results.
Photos want to grow tall even if I top them, but with the pot and the light and some space between the plant canopy and the light that only leaves about 24"-30" to grow in my 5 foot tent. So when I grow photos I use the scrog method. I let the plants grow up about 8" to a trellis net and spend the rest of their veg time tying her new stems down to the net. When the stems cover the whole net I flip to 12/12 and she starts to stretch from that same 8" height. That usually gets me lots and lots of buds that don't get too tall.
Scrog is screen of green where you usually grow 1 or 2 plants and train the canopy wide on a trellis net. The similar sounding SOG or sea of green is where people would place as many small pots in the tent as possible, no training, and flip the lights in the 2nd or 3rd week. So you get lots of smaller plants with one big cola on each one. SOG produces the most flower but most people using the SOG method make their own clones so they don't waste money on so many seeds.
With the autos I used the trellis net and I tied some of the stems down very gently but as soon as it looked like they were stretching I just let them go and they finished okay. That's the thing with autos, they go to flower when they want and there's nothing you can do about it.
The thing I like the most about the photoperiod plants is the time I spend with them training them to the trellis net. You really get a feel for how they grow and how you can fuck with them and get them to grow sideways and how the tallest top wants to take off until you bend it over and then everything else wants to take the lead.
As far as the quality of flower I didn't notice a lot of difference between the two. I have bought seeds from about 10 different seed banks and maybe I've just been lucky but I haven't really had any bad genetics. Everything I've grown has produced good plants with good quantity and I always enjoyed the buzz. In the last month I stocked up with 6 purchases from 6 different companies just in case the seed ban is real and this time I ordered from companies I haven't tried before so I'm looking forward to exciting grows in the near future. Hope that gives you some perspective on the question you asked.
