Why does everything cost so much? We have to transport all our food out here...stupid, right? We should be exporting food...Most Hawaiian calfs are transported via ship to the US where they are raised/slaughtered and then the meat is shipped back. Highly perishable items cost....

I'm quitting my job and selling everything and moving to Hawaii to grow herb. See u in a week surf. I'm sick of the pace of life here in SoCal. Major bummer.

Man I'm jealous. What's the photoperiod there? You grow outdoor year around?

Yeah, that doesn't make much sense with how fertile the soil is there! There must be at least a reasonable amount of agriculture? The way the global economy and food processing works does my head in sometimes. I've read of prawns caught in Europe being sent to Asia for processing, which are then shipped back to Europe to be sold. The mind boggles.

Hey brother man, it is not for everybody....gets super boring, but no place I'd rather be. The best part of my vacations are when they are over and I can go home.... pretty close to 12/12 all year.....start them indoors and put them outside at desired height...repeat.

I'm on a mission to produce food. If the whole world goes to shit, my daughter will always have a little self supporting haven.

I wonder if I'd actually like living on an island or not. I tend to get cabin fever when I'm on an island too long, but vacationing is different to living.

Yes, I do know how bad they are, because Bali is governed by Indonesia, where you can be convicted of trying to convert a Muslim to Christianity. But the Balinese themselves? Absolutely wonderful people. What's really amusing to me is seeing this LANDSLIDE of cannabis acceptance in relation to the POV most Puerto Ricans that I know take on it. I keep wanting to call my one cousin and ask her how she's enjoying 'the real world' she lives in compared to the non- or unreal one I live in. Cuz I'm in California and everyone knows that Californians have no idea what the rest of the world is like. :)

i don't doubt the balinese are lovely folk sea. rarely do governments actually reflect the people. n isn't that just the saddest statement? meant to the the opposite right? something went wrong somewhere along the way..
