I have been defoliating like crazy it seems like I’m thinking about flipping to flower this weekend not sure tho
This plant is a little small to flower on its own. A good size for a SOG or treliced with other small plants.
It would be beneficial to wait until the plant has a definitive structure.
Don't worry so much about sacrificing lower budsites during defoliar as after the initial stretch the lower sites will be in a poor situation to produce well anyway.

Defoliar is a great answer here, its a big part of LST.
Air flow is required by plants for systemic regulation as well as to ward off infection and mold.
The leaves are a darker shade of green than normal, but no serious tip burn, so only slightly high on N.
The curling leaves are asking for Ca. Use a CaMg supplement if you are not already.
No I haven’t used any CaMg

I did just get a trellis net and the plants are both 9 weeks old this is my first grow so I appreciate the input and trying to learn as much as I can from you guys

How much longer would you veg for planning on flowering both of them?

everyone is diffent on that some veg for 6 weeks others 8 im only going so long on mine because it's in a tent with an auto and i do not wanna do 12/12 on my auto , i also figure with that veg time and how my plant looks i actually might have just 1 plant and fill up my 3x3

So do you think a couple more weeks of veg would be beneficial?

No I haven’t used any CaMg
Cannabis is a calcium hungry plant.
So, Ca-Mg supplementation is a must with any base nutrient regime.
Deficiency often shows as deformed or yellowing leaves, thus can often be confused by new growers as a nitrigen deficiency.
As for products; Procal is my go-to for price point and balanced input while Calimagic is a heavier Ca-Mg for the hungrier strains.

So do you think a couple more weeks of veg would be beneficial?
It is often space dependent.
For example in a full smaller tent space 2-4 weeks of veg is considered standard while in a greenhouse or factory it can be pushed up to 6-8 weeks while still being profitable.
Once 12/12 lighting is initiated Indica strains will at least double in size while sativa can triple in size.
Make sure your week 8 growth wont outgrow your space, but give your plants time to structure themselves.

Something is missing if these plants are 9 weeks old.
Check out https://growdiaries.com/ for some reference on what plants should look like at each week of their lifecycle.
They would usually be much larger.
Please include climate details with troubleshooting posts to make diagnosis easier.
ie. Temp/Humidity, air flow, climate control units, etc.
Perhaps your temps are lower than ideal.

As for trellis, it is usually best for many smaller plants [SOG] or a few very large plants [upper support].
For a first grow it may hinder your process as it makes it more difficult to access your plants.
If one or two plants get to a point of needing support staking can be a more forgiving option.

I don't see much indication of Ca or Mg deficiency, but I do recommend adding them to the plant's diet when getting close to flowering—especially Mg. What I do see as a possible problem is the yellowing of new growth on this plant. That could be nutrient lockout. How wet is the soil? It might benefit from drying out before the next watering.

This is an example of Ca-Mg being misdiagnoses as Nitrogen deficiency.
N deficiency shows primarily in older leaves while Ca deficiency shows in new growth.
In the case of cannabis, Mg is integral but less so than Calcium, thus the higher percentage of Ca in Ca-Mg products.
Granted at this point your plant is no longer near to N toxicity [a lighter shade of green], and is showing less severe CaMg deficiency [not as much deformity, if any].

On the same note drybacks are important and should be observed every watering.
Over saturation is not the same as nutrient lock out but can cause the same effects: test the PPM in your runoff and monitor soil moisture.

Thanks guys for info and yes I have been monitoring the soil dampness letting the top 2 inches or so dry out before watering and will b purchasing some calmag to add to there diet

It needs more of a dryback than the finger method.....

That rule needs to get tossed out.......

For instance.......growing in a 5 gallon bucket......

Sticking your finger in a 5 gallon bucket leaves 11 inches of possible saturation......

Just a thought......

Yes they are 9 weeks since I put the seed in been keeping day temps with lights on about 78-79 and night temps 69-71 humidity has been kept around 55% and have 2 6” oscillating fans on at all times exhaust fan kick on when humidity hits 60%

I actually weighed my plants when I transplanted before and after watering and watered based on weight last time

Glad you picked up on that curling leaves have zilch to do with ca or mg.

It’s from n toxicity and it looks like old damage

Gave her some cal-mag yesterday will see if that helpsView attachment 2110125
hey man just my opinion but i would not defoliate anymore on the top of the plant let that grow some , i would defoliate those big hand size leaves around the bottom so it could get some fresh air in there , but i would let the top grow a lil first before i removed anything .
