I actually think they look like that because I have the humidity so low in the tent right now for the flowering plant. I read that baby plants actually get most of their water from the leaves and not the roots. I really need to separate them from the flowering tent bc of the humidity, just don’t have a place for them at the moment.

So water the plastic cups before transplant and try to pull all soil and plant out as one?

Am I safe into the drying zone? I just turned up the fan in the dry tent to 80%, had been running it at 40-50% speed (6" fan 420 cfm). I want to try to get it to final dry soon, need to move the tent.

Stems aren’t quite snapping. So I cranked up the fan... they are close I think tonight I will final trim and jar cure.

here is the dry weight of the plant, I was very happy with it. After I stunted the plant with water issues and topped an autoflower twice before finding out it was an auto.

buds were very thick and dense.

Damn, I have to toss some of the big ass famous cola (that ending up at a stout 17g).

Doing finaldry trim and opened the top of it to find this :( No mold throughout the whole grow, I guess it was too fat.

Bud rot. Almost always starts in the middle. I wouldn't smoke it. It can also spread in a dank bag during cure.

Got it. Thinking back I do t even know if I could have avoided it.. I think that flower just got to wide and no air circ could reach it anymore.

what do y’all think?

Wow sorry to see that! Personally I'd tossed it all but I have respiratory issues, so you might be able to save it? I would wait to see what others say cuz I've never dealt with it but you're right air flow is a major thing, I have two 9 inch high velocity fans on the floor of my flower tent 24/7 and one in veg

That has happened in the drying process. If it was in the growing process, it literally only takes a few days to turn buds to slime. It spreads really quickly under the right conditions.

If i had to guess a decaying leaf stem is the culprit.

I broke it up and there were some parts with zero mold, so save a tiny bit of it and keeping that separate from everything else... Threw the rest of it away.

@HeLLfiReZ great idea, i will check for small decaying leaves throughout the dry next time. A small loss, but it was from the plant's "trophy" cola haha.

I repost these pics, to help you spot rot earlier next time it happens. Those spots would look suspect to me.

Thanks for the tips Hellfirez! I think next time I might get a drying rack and do complete wet trim to separate the buds. It is 70-90% humidity here all the time.
