dam. those plants are killing it. looks like the williams works. works, lol. they going to be bigger than a mo fo soon. fair play. i love h&g nutes, seriously kick ass.

Thanks!
Williams works is some amazing stuff! I only wish I had more...:flower

Holy shit! All killer and no filler from Mr. Dundat's ladies. Keep it up!

HaHa! Right on!:rauch08:

impressive...damn. I thought this thread was bad ass before those last shots!

Thanks man.
I have to admit I am pretty impressed myself!:icon_spin:

Killin'it... That additonal bamboo screen is a nice touch and the cool coil with the ChillKing is bad ass Ben! :cool

Right on, Thanks!
With Plants this size it is completely necessary to give them this much support, Especially the O.G..

looking good man; digging the wrap on the uc piping

Thanks.
I have to say, that insulating the piping on the U.C. isn't all that necessary. I only insulated the piping in my veg. room because I use a humidifier in that room and I was worried about condensation forming on the pipes... Come to find out this is not an issue.

preparing those plants for some serious poundage!

Oh Yes...:harvest:

Ben, i appreciate your complete and thorough descriptions and answers to questions . . . it really makes this thread so so so informative. thank you for all the effort and patience for documenting your incredible work.

Papa

Thanks!
I appreciate the compliment!:handshake

Goodness, those bases are as big as my arm, holy cow!! Awesome Grow Ben!! I too want to thank you for the super detailed documentations of your grow, it truely is amazing to follow..

Thanks!

williams works sounds like silica. thats it

otherwise great looking grow yo

I can see how you might mistake Williams Works for silica by my description... Silica does help strengthen the cell walls of plants but, It does not divide the cells of the plant nor increase the size of the nucleus of the cells. Im guessing that it is possible that Williams Works has silica in it but, I'm not sure of this.

What I do know is that Williams Works lives up to its name. This stuff does work!:yes

wow, amazing stuff man.. good work!!

Thanks!

VERY nice setup Ben!

Thanks bro.

We started to flower at the same day and i am seeing different progress on mine. Instead of growing like yours, my plants has been packing on buds but not growing in height and width. Pretty strange

Remember that different strains have different maturing rates. The O.G. Kush is a 9-10 week strain. I'm guessing that you have a predominate indica strain with a short flowering time.... bd

great attention to detail throughout your setup, its awesome!

those hogwire (what we call that type of fencing here in the hills) cages are tight as hell man, what did you use to make all the bends?

Thanks!
They are actually square tomato cages. I bought them from http://www.burpee.com

your room is sick keep up the good work

Thanks!
Glad you like it.

does the water pump ever get clogged? this system have any filters?

Toward the end of the flowering cycle it is a possibility that the roots could clog the system. The 3" pipe is supposed to help relive this issue. As for the system coming with filters, they did at one point. They were found to be more problematic then helpful due to the fact that they would cause the system to clog very easily. bd

Great thread Ben - was starting to get lazy today and think I was gonna cut some corners in setting up my new room, but seeing this journal has changed my mind.

Thanks and happy growing, friend.

Thanks.
Glad I could influence you to do a more thorough build.

what size pex pipes does this uc system come with? 3/4''?

The U.C. doesn't come with pex. It comes with PVC. As for the size of pipe, the 8 gallon systems come with 2" PVC for the manifolds and pipe between the modules. The 13 gallon systems come with 3" PVC for the manifolds and the pipe between the modules. All of the systems utilize 3/4" PVC for the return line back to the control module. bd

This picture was taken after I drained the system. The root mas you see fills the 13 gallon module almost to the ridge located about 7" from the top of the module.

The UC system is just incredible...The growth is so explosive and fast, it's crazy. Your plants look great, this is my favorite stage in the growing process. Are the roots that brown color from being soaked in the nutes?

Thanks.
The roots have a brown tint because of the algen extract and roots excelurator. Also the Williams Works is dark brown, almost black in color. Another reason for this is that I crown feed with organics.

Looking sick my brother.....did you leave a control group (without Williams Works) to compare to? Seems like it might be hard to differentiate between whats making the plants blow up given this is your first UC run and all?

Keep up the inspiring work.

Good God man! Can you even walk in there? I take it you aren't doing any leaf plucking.

Are you using any kind of Cal/Mag supplementation with the H&G line up?

I can't wait to set up a UC system. You and Jack are an inspiration for sure.
