Up at first crow..
Chores done, coffee and breakfast with my teenage wife, then..
8 mile fish and float..
Will be tossing terrestrials into the bankside shadows for browns hunkering..

Really nice day here. It has rained the last two days and the sun came out. Highs right around 80. More rain this afternoon hopefully. The vegetable and other garden are enjoying the break from hot AF. I commisioned a kitchen table this morning, so off to buy some wood.

Can not believe spot on casts, perfec long drifts in the deep dark shadows, foam line as well, just a few looks on top and 3 fishon's below on midges..

I guess that's why they don't call it catching. Better luck next time. I caught a bunch of bluegill and largemouth on the fly rod in MO last week with my dad. We fried up the bluegill and some catfish, mmmm. Bass were returned. Catfisg were caugh with worms in the pond.
