my grow room is 2.5 meters in diameter
2 meter in height
my technique is a recirculating dammed flooded tube NFT in a coliseum style grow


im using 2 x 400watt HPS currently 12/12
(growlush ballast/phillips son-T-agro HPS bulbs)
top 250mm exhaust fan LARGE (unsure of the cfm)
bottom 250mm intake fan SMALL (unsure of the cfm)

4 x air stones in the reservoir pumping 800 liters of air per hour
i have a temperature bulb in the reservoir set to 28 degrees constant
my water pump is recirculating 2200 liters per hour

i flush every other week with 6.0-6.2ph
mix nute's and hormone growth with tap water

the actual grow room is recirculating the same air
to take advantage of the natural co2 generated during lights off , very isolated from the outside world
i change the air twice a week

my nutrients are a local brand HYDROBOTANICS*
i was told not to be fooled by the flash advertisement
and to stick with the nutrients best suited for my country(s)/temps/humidity etc....

FYI, 28* sounds super duper high for your rez temps - probably wanna lower that about 10 degrees, in all honesty.

Also, those plants are gonna start needing a lot more intake/exhaust when they get larger - twice a week is nowhere near sufficient for air exchange, IMO.

And not to be a Debbie Downer, but 70 ounces off of 2 400s would be a ludicrous yield - I'm all for being optimistic, but that just sounds ridiculous.

I'll be happy to get 70 ounces my first run off of 4 600s (and our systems are pretty similar), to give you a frame of reference.

Anyways, looks pretty good from my end, and please don't go leaving and not updating - it's hard to find people with systems like ours, so let's stay in touch.

70 ounces is just a rough guide
considering there are 70 pots
in my experience iv never ever grown a plant that yields under a ounce dry product
so my guesses are 1 ounce per plant times 70 plants = 70 ounces give or take
thats the point of doing it in a coliseum so you get the 360 light disperse
this is roughly 8 meters in length that would have used 8 lights if the set-up was flat but instead , its now 2 meters in diameter
which only uses 2 lights no shade
i know it sounds far fetched but im not counting on pulling out that much the first grow
although all in all , it is possible

Besides changing to a different N for colder weather how do you think your weather(temps humidity etc) effects your nutes? JK

how's it going
thats actually a good question
i have a friend that owns a hydroponic shop locally
and he fills me in with what i need regarding my grow op
his knowledge towards what i do is impressive
he know's more then me , obviously

its the beginning of summer here
days are starting to get longer and warmer
the nutes he's given me is his creation
and easy to work with
i had the choice to go expensive with nutes
but since he's the green thumb i went with his stuff
and there actually not too bad

my plants above are only 4 weeks old from when i put them in paper to germinate
to me thats impressive

the humidity is avg 70% and the temp avg 28*c but has known to climb to 40*c and 100% humidity outside on freak days
i have a air condenser/conditioner/dehumidifier to counter act that problem
although if its too hot i just turn lights off completely till the heat goes away
doing that doesn't effect my plants

id love to use advance nutrients eventually
but at the moment ill use my friends to do a comparison
in growth, structure and yield

my grow room is temp controlled regarding your question

my old house was a killa for heat
my indoor soil grow was in the 40's throughout summer
i just didn't have the equipment to keep the temp down
air induction was abit crappy
useless fans
bad timing really being the beginning of summer


i had good genetics from green house seeds

so at this time i had all female mothers for every strain i had
had some very good 3 ounce (wet) per plant pulls from a couple of them as well using 400watters
and i lost all these to the heat , opps

im so looking forward to the ice* variety
iv never seen so much crystal , it sort of looks fake
i had to get it to believe it

my breeder of choice is nirvana
and i hope this grows to what it looks like in the picture

im so excited ...
six weeks as of today is when i should have my package
just in time as well
cause summer is near and that would eliminate the use of a second room

ill vege them outside propagate them then straight into the octagon for flowering
just out side alone will be 90 plants
10 in each pack and 9 packs all up

hopefully i can propagate 70 clones every 2.5 months
to fill the 70 mesh pots in the cage

im going to need some help
pretty much someone to over look my mission as time goes

iv been hearing rumors and reading up about plants dying
because of 2 different grow methods soil to NFT clash when propagated from soil then flowered in a NFT
is this true ?
has anyone encountered such a problem ?
