Thanks everyone.........always nice to be appreciated. I do appreciate everyone's input, and don't know I'd be in the same position without some of the input I've received. How about some bud porn- day 40 in flowering. I have made some changes recently, i.e. lowering the lights, etc. which I'll review on Thursday at exactly 6 weeks.

This is the OTHER side of the room, and yes, that's another G.G. leaner, but also the largest, tallest and heaviest yielder in the room.

4 weeks to go after Thursday, not 3. It will be 6 weeks done flowering, Irie Seeds says take them to 70 days so they have plenty of time. Although, I was thinking last night if I had these plants right now under 2 HPS, it could be a 5 lb room. As it is, I still think 4 lbs is at the upper echelon. They are getting chunky though, and I lowered the lights to 16 inches, more on that Thursday.

Although I did talk up Sweet Zombie, I decided to do Dr. greenthumb’s Turkish Cookies next........for reasons I’ll detail when I start that grow diary. I’ll do the Sweet Zombie after that, but some others on here will beat me to it so look out for those grows.

Hey SSHZ just to recap a few things , how big of area is one of LED lights covering ? also are your higher temps due to the LED lights or more so the high temps outside. If I remember right those lights work best in 82+ temps is that right. I'm trying to imagine how they would work in my setup. thanks

P.S your room is look sweet

1. The lights are 43 x 44 inches, the space is 48 x 48 inches on each side of the room. If you were to go 60 x 60 inches, you would probably need to run the lights a bit higher to make sure you have a nice light spread.

2. A winter grow will answer a lot of the temperature questions. Outside it’s been in the 90’s almost every day for the last month with humidity in the 80+% every day almost. I won’t know for sure until I can compare this grow with a winter grow. With the door open in the room and the humidifier running and steady exhaust, I’m dialed in to 82 degrees with a humidity 47%-48%.

Depending on the site you read, 82 degrees to 86 degrees is the temperature range ideally. If I had more co2, I’d run it on the warmer side. Since I only have the Exhale Bags, I’m running it on the cooler side although there is always a bit of fluctuation daily, i.e. cooler in the morning and warmer as the day goes on.

I’m reading these lights are in high demand right now, with delivery over a month out per numerous vendors.

+\- 10 degree for lights off temps or 82 degrees full term?

Good question........I meant to address this earlier.

In the Orange Gasm podcast, Rasta Jeff talked about how this strain likes it warm at night, and there was no reason to try to cool things down when the lights are off. I haven't hesitated leaving the humidifier on all night- which tends to put out warm air and keeps it about the same temp as with lights on- in the 81-83 degree range. It's probably one of the reasons the plants stayed so short too- no cooler temps at night. From my point of view, this is rare for a strain. The plants seem happy, who am I to argue.

But this is surely not normal. With most strains, I would probably leave the exhaust on in the dark period to cool the room down a bit, about 10 degrees sounds about right. Winter time should bring cooler temps anyway, it will be interesting to see the fluctuations and how it all works out.

Thanks for that clarification. Your plants looks great.

I'm starting to have 2nd thoughts about the Turkish Cookies for next time.......I'm getting a lot of feedback on RIU and other places how everyone is having sprouting issues and disappointing results with Dr, GreenThumb's stuff lately. I want to read thru my Sweet Zombie threads again before making a final decision-at least with that one I know what to expect, know they will sprout and know they'll do really well under the LED's.

Regarding the Turkish Cookies, even if they do sprout- they tend to be bigger plants (like the Orange Gasm) and will need a lot of tending to to maintain height and spread. If anyone has recent experience with Dr. GreenThumb stuff (lets say in 2020), I'd appreciate your perspective.

Well, if it's Thursday, then another week flowering has gone by. So, 6 weeks done, 4 weeks to go. Some general observations........

1. I think the pictures previously posted make the buds look bigger than they actually are. That's not to say they are small- they're just average. But they still have 2 weeks to fatten up and 2 more weeks to harden up and finish. I'll try to have the pics below show their actual size.

2. But where the buds lack in size, they're numbers surely make up for it. Each plant has numerous cola's, between 5-7 on most of them. The branches are thick and are easily holding the weight- no nets or support necessary on this grow.

3. For the next couple of weeks I'll switch to a straight bloom fertilizer, 1-4-5. Then I'll taper down to just a straight flush the last week. I like to keep them green and healthy right up til the end. I'll also up the ppm 100-150 and push them a little more now. And Cal/Mag up until the beginning of week 9 when that ends too.

4. Along with the push, I also lowered each light a few more inches. I'll check daily for any negative affects, but I think they can handle it and it will improve the bud size a bit more.

5. I sent another long email to Rasta Jeff, no response this time as of yet. Although I've recently seen numerous vendor restocks the Orange Gasm, Irie Seeds seems to be pushing other strains, the latest ones. Jeff told me 4-5 weeks ago he would discuss the strain again in one of the podcasts, I'm guessing it won't happen. I can't help but think this strain is all about flavor and not necessarily about the buzz, since he doesn't seem to want to address it or just doesn't care enough.

6. I think the gnat issue is resolved.....the yellow sticky traps captured a bunch of them and I AGAIN added some Mosquito Bits to my reservoir and watered with them a few times. No more mites signs either, after picking off those 3 leaves with a few eggs on them.

7. And.......I see we passed 6K hits since the thread was started, May 29th. For the 6 of us, that's over 1,000 views each. You guys need to get a life.

Pictures up in the morning................

Starting to lean towards the Sweet Virus next time......... every plant put off a monster cola. The big decision with these would be whether to top or not under the LED's??? If I top them, I'll have to veg longer, probably 5 weeks instead of 4. LOOK HOW UNIFORM THE ROOM IS WITHOUT EVER TOUCHING THE PLANTS.........These were taken down at day 60 in flowering, this pic was taken at the end of week 6. It was good at 60 days, but needs 70 days to become special. Smelly too, so be aware. 95% indica, nighttime smoke only, it's a potent med when you smoke too much. People who like a little sativa in their smoke won't like the "heavy" buzz.

Room pic's in the morning.
