Are both rdwc systems the same?i have a long basement so maybe i dont need a big room like that. I have two Rdwc system a total of 12buckets and then i have 6 dwc buckets which im thinkin of not using since its a pain in the ass to always be changing out vs a rdwc system.
i want to run 2-3strains in flower
im thinking of La Conf, white widow, ghost train haze #1 and sensi star. I have a bunch of seeds so im thinking of just runnin a few strains a year i like to mix it up but def GTH#1 and I love WW. Im lookin forward to sensi star as well.
yes same system but not attached. Are both rdwc systems the same?
lol true. ive gone away for work 12days abd camr back to healthy plants. i just worry about floodin with the roots cloggin up the pipes but thats becuz i veg for to long which theres no need! You just mentioned all the reasons you need to forget about soil lol...
Actually u don't even need to separate the 2 areas for flower as they will be on same light schedule and that way u can control the area with just the equipment u gotaI would build 3 chambers. 2 chambers for flower, each with a 6 bucket system. And have them set to flower a month apart. Every month you harvest a flower chamber. You can run many strains a year that way... I need to know what your systems look like and how the top bucket chamber works before I can tell you the third chamber u need to build is..
I would make your flower chamber 5x15 all along back wall with a system on each side. Then you can build it out with reflective foam board and make doors out of foam, foam glue, and a couple hinges...my last grow i had 1200watts in my 5x5 got 2lbs dried and that wasnt counting the trimmins
Or 8" duct for 8 inch circles... duh lolI would make your flower chamber 5x15 all along back wall with a system on each side. Then you can build it out with reflective foam board and make doors out of foam, foam glue, and a couple hinges...
And a diy piece of advice. If you got to cut foam board 6 or 8 inch circles use a piece of 6" duct by just turning it in a circle and sawing thru the foam board.
MAKES PERFECT FITTING CIRCLE!
Well then 6 should be no problem in 5x15!my last grow i had 1200watts in my 5x5 got 2lbs dried and that wasnt counting the trimmins
6 buckets per systemWell then 6 should be no problem in 5x15!
i have two of these. the only thing i dont like is that the lid of the buckets is a 8"net pot vs just having a lid with a cut out in it so you can just drop any net pot inside. the 8" net pot drops on top of the each bucket.Well then 6 should be no problem in 5x15!
would you know where I could get a square lid for a 6.6gallon bucket? they only sell what i need but its a 8" net pot what im looking for is without the net i just want the lid so i can cut out the circleWell then 6 should be no problem in 5x15!
Yes it does and that's what you need.. reason why is we want to veg just your net pot in a flood table until you are ready to put 8th system to flower. With a flood table for veg and a cloner, you now have a very good perpetual set up....i have two of these. the only thing i dont like is that the lid of the buckets is a 8"net pot vs just having a lid with a cut out in it so you can just drop any net pot inside. the 8" net pot drops on top of the each bucket.
rightnow i have 5 dwc buckets would be nice to just drop those netpots on top of each bucket.
rightnow im lookin to make my own top and cutting out a circle so that way i can just drop in any net pot into the system. not sure if that made sense lol
I don't off hand...would you know where I could get a square lid for a 6.6gallon bucket? they only sell what i need but its a 8" net pot what im looking for is without the net i just want the lid so i can cut out the circle
Looks good. Ive never worried about top feeding. especially when transplanting they recommend top feeding for the first week but ive never done it. never had an issue. i sometimes use the 4" block because it holds water but then i have to deal with algae and ph issues the first couple of weeks. And then my clone tent... small diy dwc cloner...
Why are you using rockwool? It sucks! Rapid rooters are way more forgivable. ..Looks good. Next time im cutting up the rock wool into little pieces and mixing it with the hydroton for a backup incase the pump failes. nice big set up! thats what i want the open floor space. growing in a tent sucks
