I think AN has the most advanced research foundation, I mean you read Mike's story ... right ?
As far as the amount that, as I figured for myself, is depends on plant and other factors.

Mike's story is a Marketing scheme
there are alot of nutrients that make extremely killer cannabis
Jacks
Canna
Botanicare
GH
Heavy 16
the list goes on
I would use Canna over AN any day
they have been in the industry for ever
Cannabis specific
R&D in Holland for years in greenhouses/glass house
indoor outdoor
revolutionized Coco
I think AN is good
but I dont think running 500 bucks of nutes is very responsible
yes you can say...well I just use there base
well then that really isnt getting the benefit of there research

AN works just like any other hydroponic nutrient but what it comes down to is your buying water like 95 percent water and 5 percent actual high strength nutrients etc
But at the end of the day its what ever works best for your situation

Now if none of these said companies guarantee concentrations on the package that's just misleading. I'd like to see some certificates of analysis. Also if those nutes sit on the shelves too long salts can come out of solution. What nutrients from ag stores do you mean ?

I have always said there is an inherent danger with comm online as we get more like a computer and text n chat we dont get to see the expression of someones face to get a better feel where they are coming from. Gotta love the tech that drives us further away from actual human contact right?? LOL....... Peace

there are many aggie company's that sell salts...you can mix your own or you can use
say Jack's Hydro by JR Peters...which is a Giant Aggie company which makes many mineral based products for the larger corporate industry used on a macro scale

also....companys only have to release certain things guaranteed....but put many other substances in there products without releasing the details
kinda like AN website
dosnt even show you the Macro's

All of those are natural salt supplements. pH, temperature and other factors affect whether and how much those salts dissociate into ions. It's just easier for consumer to use premade ones. I'll definitely look into organic sources of necessary nutrients.

the one thing I can tell you is this
Science.....and the Real World....are cery differ on subjects like this
whabwe think we know scientifically and what actually happens many times are vastly differ

Let's say some guy would test all the elements in the said solution and if the amount is correct that still wouldn't mean shit.

what do you mean exactly?
people have done that.....one of the reasons some nutrient companys are banned in places like California and Oregon
there are also people who have broken down nutrient companys to the ingredient list and @ what ratios to create you very own AN sensi a/b

I believe you, but I think the main reason is that some things are just so complex that it's hard to explain or comprehend it without pHD haha.
My EC meter comes on Friday. From multiple sources I got that I'll need to monitor ec of in and out and pH of in.
Also experience of people like you saves research a ton of time.

to me....a Phd only proves you know how to conform to traditional educational standards.....in today's society
years ago it would hold intelectual weight
nowadays.....it means you can write a dissertation in AP format
just my opinion
that ec meter will be a life saver in the world of mineral nutrient management

What I'm saying is that it has to be pretty close to legit and any difference between different nute brands or organic vs premade is minimal

I agree, too many people ot there think they know all kinds of chemistry hahahahaha.

you would be heavily suprised at what you might find within differ companys....or differ batches of same said product
the good thing is ....plants can take a wide range of nutrients....kinda like people
we can eat Mc Donalds every day....dosnt mean it is healthy....but they still sustain

people do say to check your ph out...
I wont steer you one way or another
but when it dosnt match and the out looks super screwy.....look at the plant....if it looks good....then keep putting in what you put in
as we have discussed with Cation
as coco dries....it starts to let go of or should I say the buffer barrier breaks down....ph and ec will spike....so when you water....and check runoff...that shit might be through the roof
dosnt mean anything is wrong
