Hey donodiesel, if the goal of growing out quality bud " sensimilla" without seed , then hermaphrodite plants are highly undesirable , the male " nanner " will open and disperse pollen on your flowering bud , thereby switching them from seedless bud to a completely different bud , one that has seeds....
Seeded bud is ok if thats what you want , but almost all growers have a specific goal , and surprises are not part of the plan , most growers will see a surprise male " hermaphrodite " as an unwanted event , it might not bother you....
Hermaphrodites often appear for a few reasons , it can be a trait passed on from hermi tendancy parents , it can be a result of stress like "light leaks " in your growroom or nutrient stress .....
Seeds created in your growroom can now be innocently passed to friends or others that dont have the desire to pollinate by
surprise by using the
genetics you gave them....
Many , including me have no problem smoking " seeded " weed , but its not really something anyone wants to be surprised with....
You can kill the plant , or if you want to have peace of mind , closely look for a yellow dust , thats the pollen , if you dont see any , then you may not have an issue , if you do find it then assume that your other plants have been pollinated and continue growing them or toss them and get more stable seeds...
