What’s up man! How goes the new run? Did your seedlings make it? I’m super pro-you setting up a perpetual grow man, it’s like why waste all that time not vegging some new plants while flowering? A 3x3 tent sounds pretty legit, lots of 300 watt lights designed for 3x3’s out. Hlg just put out a cool new qb/ kit light called the Patriot 150. 2x150’s would be some a nice setup for $350ish bucks. As for the feeding, I would just buy a Floraflex bubbler, 5 gallon bucket, timer and setup a girl in coco/GH 6 part lol. It’s easy, just water till lil runoff couple times a day @ 6.1+ ph, follow the GH 6 part schedule and photone DLI schedule. That was for Zombie you sleepheadI know what you've got goin and it is off the charts. And you are "perpetually" ahead of us by a country mile of course. Zombie says he may be setting up for a perp grow soon as well. Kinda dawned on me last night how frikkin integral it is so I've decided I may get ducks in a row and shoot for setting it up by this harvests flower like you do. Mostly just need a light for a 3x3 and could get started. Overwhelming when think about the feeding though.
Hey there hope all is well! How are the girls doing? I bet the smell levels are on the “come on this is ridiculous” level. Keep on doing God’s work out there! And keep us updated on your grow plzzzz :D. I got some redbeard seeds in the seedbank now, some of that Rbow and the Caramel Apple.Mornin! Running the Orange in the four by and running three in the five by. Future One, Alaskan Thunder F#@K and Grape Ape in the five by. It all smells good!!
Hey hey Z how ya be brotha? Ehh new run took a turn here and there and was restarted days ago. I placed seeds in peet pellets this morning. 6/6 sprouts on 3 cultivars so off to a good start. What’s up man! How goes the new run? Did your seedlings make it? In all seriousness though I thought running living soil is pretty hands off except for maybe some dry amendments during flower? You could probably setup an auto watering setup in soil too I think?
My two babies are growing in their solo cups, wondering whether or not to start a new thread or just start posting it on this one and make this my perpetual grow thread lol.
Stay high bro
Yo mon! It goes well, smoking fat cheese cookies joints, harvesting tomatoes n such. My San marzanos are going crazy bro I will post an update pic later. Almost have enough of them for some sauce! San Marzano tomatoes are the ones the legit pizza joints in nyc use so it’s gonna be some lit pies in this biyaché lol.Hey hey Z how ya be brotha? Yeah I am on board the perp grow train but I'm stuck cause feel I am trying to be smart about it and don't want to regret my next moves. I don't like the 3x3 viparspectra nearly as much as the AC infinity 4x4. I don't want to get lights for a 3x3, lose my current dry tent in the process, then once get started regret that I just didn't buy another AC infinity 4x4 with basically all the same shit I did for my current 1. My goal is to stick within the 6 plant legal limit and in a perfect world would run 3 in both tents at all times. Part of me wants to go big or go home and part of me wants to try to save as much money as possible without ending up regretting it. Those Patriot 150s you pointed out are pretty sick especially for the cost. I am pretty certain if I go with the 3x3 I already have that I will grab 2 of those for it. I am unsure exactly what you are supposed to do with driver though as far as mounting.
As far as dwc goes this grow, I already bought all the things I will need for living soil grow. All the pots are actually already full and just waiting for their time to shine. Yeah I think soil will be a bit more hands off like you say. Only amend a couple times and feeding is mostly water. I'm sure auto watering can work but I am going to water by hand the first run or so. It seems watering practices are just as important if not more so in soil. In coco it is really hard to overwater but in soil I can see how it could happen.
Hah I told ya you would somehow start ahead of mehell yeah. And I think you should start new thread like I am about to. My reasons are simply to start off new, separate my grows so can easily look back, and to see the differences and progression(hopefully) of the grows getting better. Just DO IT! lol
interesting chart. Thanks for sharingThanks for the reply. Yeah that sounds like a good idea, I’ve been at 5.85-5.95 for a while. I’m gonna bump it up to 6-6.2 and see how they respond. Your right, researching the nutrient availability chart is legit way to solve lots of issues, gonna make it my background and study it lol.
That looks great. i need to learn that method.Hey you two! @PerfecTrader and @Zombierider … Hope all is well on your side. Going great here, staying summer time busy. So I was right about no more than two in the five by, we have the ATF in the lead with 66% of the scrog and the Future 1 and the Grape Ape pouting over only getting a third. These ladies went to flower with the Orange Widow, so we are a little over two weeks in.
These are my girls 37 days old and 33 days old. bruce banner strain photo'sThat looks great. i need to learn that method.
Looks lovely. Time to top them though. These are my girls 37 days old and 33 days old. bruce banner strain photo's
again i topped them once . this is my first grow, so not sure how many times you can top.Looks lovely. Time to top them though.
I top at node four and then at node two on the new growth, then fim a week or so before flipping to flower. After a closer look I can see that you have topped. My way of doing it prepares it to be scrogged. Perhaps you are just free growing?again i topped them once . this is my first grow, so not sure how many times you can top.
ok, Thank you. after node 2 on all the new growth? thanksI top at node four and then at node two on the new growth, then fim a week or so before flipping to flower. After a closer look I can see that you have topped. My way of doing it prepares it to be scrogged. Perhaps you are just free growing?

@Neueregel Great lookin start bud and you not only found the right forum but you for sure crossed a real solid thread. Cannagranny was integral in Zombie and my 1st grow and her wisdom and ability to keep shit simple is invaluable. I was in the exact same position as you months ago as far as thinking I was planning to SCROG and realizing too late I wasn't doing it right. So I just wanted to pass it on and share what I feel makes the most sense on how to really grasp the SCROG concept. I may be wrong on may points but it is my free $.02
If you want a SOG(Sea of Green) then there are many methods you can utilize to try to obtain it but a SCROG is a SCREEN of Green and you use the screen(not a trellis net because it is flexible and flimsy) to halt all vertical growth during the right time in veg. You then force the branches to grow horizontally under the screen but not through it. Depending on goals and space you have, it is likely optimal to veg them horizontally under the screen until the tent is nearly full. Then you stop training them to stay under the screen and allow to grow vertically for a few days or weekish, then flip to flower. By doing this you would cause maximum light exposure to nodes all along the branches. Once allow them to grow through the screen, they all are starting from fairly equal distances which is key for lighting. Anything under the screen is larf. It will not see the light of day, causes airflow congestion, and should be removed so as to allow all the plants finite energy to go towards flower production.
Cannagranny once ran a test in 2 4x4s with identical genetics in each. She freebirded one tent and SCROGed the other. The difference was 17oz vs 27oz and I call that the proof is in the pudding
