I am having heat issues also but my issue is due to a clogged charcoal filter, there is hardly any air moving through it.

I'm actually Using four fans, two small fans to circulate air around inside the tent. I also have two vortex fans , one for intake one for exhaust, both running at 170 cfm each. I think the air movement I have in there is more than enough. Those two inline fans alone would cool a 400 w HPS no problem, even in the summer. Every 3-5 minutes There should be total air exchange for your room. For my tent, 163 cfm does that and both my fans are rated for 170cfm each. That's not including the fans moving the air around inside so there's no problem there
I also think it's funny you say the tent being hot because it's packed with plants. I think it's the poor quality computer fans used in the panels along with the fact the 5w diodes burn hot as hell. The problem is I can't exhaust the hot air the fixture Makes faster than it makes it so the heat is building up. I'm not the only person who says this either, most people I know That own the mars2 say the same thing. My tests when I hooked the lights up initially were the same with a empty tent as they are with a tent full of plants. Only difference was RH. I'm not trying to be argumentative but please don't treat me like im a fool. I'm not new to LED lights either. I've grown with every style panel since the 1w diode ufo lights. And Take a closer look at that hygrometer , the high temp was 95 degrees which is not OK ever
I think it's just a bit misleading making the argument that you save all this extra electricity with these LED lights by not having to use the extra environment controls like fans and AC. In my tiny setup what am I really saving ? I have to run the same fans either way. I save 50 watts by using the LED panels versus a 400w HPS But in the end I'm losing yield. There's no way these panels will out yield any HID light , no way. I'd do a size by side and bet you anything im right. And we all know heat is the biggest enemy of electrical components , I'm sure these panels are not going to hold up over time at extreme temps like that. The clone I'm growing is over 30 years old and is known to be fairly large yielding So it's not the genetics either
It's not my intention to bash you guys. I supported your company but thus far I'm not very happy with my purchase. I think you should be more up front in your advertising about how much heat these things make.
by the way i think too many plants in the same grow room! even plants produce hot! combined with light and a close room it make everything hotter! less plants guys! or bigger tent :p
I've been doing SOG for a long time bro It Doesn't make that much of a difference. I always pack my tents, most people do because they want to make all there space count. Are you a Mars rep too ? How about some pictures ? My tent is like a goddamn wind tunnel with all the air movement, how come nobody can understand that.
I'm gonna remove all the plants tomorrow for a few hours and take pics just so you guys see it wont make much difference at all. I already tested it when I first bought them, it's fukin hot in here. The lights make a lot of heat !!
To the op would you have a link to the mars pro i would like to check it out on actual wattage . draw , and other things and arrays And i am very curious as you mention that you use only cree if this is the case "claiming" you use Cree diodes, which in some cases you are. Fact is, i learned Cree only makes about 2 of the colors used in say a 7 band array. So the first question to a company using Cree should be, ok so what do you use for the other 6 colors outside of white? Fact is, If were being told that a light is using all US diodes and everything else, you are being lied to.
Hi Ned Kelly, your plants look really goodThese look great just hope there not too pricey

Hello Toaster79, wow, you are an expert of Light :p we have 4 types of Mars Pro series, 2 are using Epistar chips, 2 are using Cree chips, these r the LED Part NO. we use:By the looks of those pictures they're using XP-E and XP-E2 emitters (pictures are crappy so there might also be XP-G2 emitters for white and bluea spectrum, which I doubt due to higher price). So you get 620nm, 660nm peak in the red section, blues are most likely royal blues with 455nm peak and the rest of the spectrum is/could be covered with whites if there are different CCT emitters used in those units and are not pegged to a certain CCT because of using the cheapest white emmiter.
Morning MrBelvedere! Not all white Cree, we have 2 red, 1 blue and 1 white. These are the LED Part NO. a Chinese company is making the driver of us, sorry they don't have English website :( we are using@MarsG on the new pro model is it all white Cree COBs? What exact exact BIN? What exact driver are you using? Thanks.
Looking forward to seeing your pics BeglianHaze.I will post the photos in the next days!
by the way only if i keep light on only for 18hrs without any fan or air extraction i can get 32.4°, when the light is off i am around 26!
maybe it will heat more when the blooming lights will be on! i have also to say that in my place is still really hot, and it can influence the temperature of the tent!
