My winter grow starts now!

This Chemdog in the back has been giving me the run around. When i transplanted her i forgot to clip the roots so they would grow out. I haven't watered her in almost 2 weeks, she was definitely drowning. Well i took a bamboo stick and stabbed the shit out of the rootball 3 days ago, shes starting to come around now and trying to get perky again. If she isnt fully recovered by the 21st, off with her head. I have no patience for stuff like that.

That’s frustrating, aren’t you in fabric pots? I was under the impression that those trim the roots to prevent root bounding issues.

Yeah im in fabric now so it should come around. This went from 2 gallon plastic nursey pot to a 5 gallon aci fabric, the 2 gallon was rootbound when i transplanted and just shoved her home, totally forgot to cut the roots at the bottom causing myself more issues than i thought it wouldve. I was gonna pull it after i realized what i did and fix it, but i figured it wouldve grown out of it.

I had to laugh when you said Fungus Gnats because every time I look at mine, I think I see one flying around and then realize it's just the eye floater I have in my right eye. The floater is small and moves with my right eye movement. Annoying as hell

Haha. I only laugh at this because for a while, i thought it was just the floater in my left eye, ive had it since i was 5, i agree, wicked annoying. But i do indeed have some fungas gnats this run. Thinking they came in my soil. Will be getting DE next time im at the store and ill mix in a little bit when i break into a fresh bag.

That’s great to know I’ve sort of done the same thing and I’ve noticed the roots going round n round in a tight ball 17 litre pot I had em root bound before they went in didn’t know about the cutting of the roots on the bottom so cheers for that man must admit doesn’t seem to have affected my plant much but

So i dont got wicked crazy when i do cut them, i have an extra pair of trim scissors i dont use, so i use them and just snip 4 spots at the bottom edge and it seems to do fine, doesnt bother the plants either ive noticed.

Its cold in the veg tent with only 100 watts of light going. So i decided to go ahead and use one of the 2 heat mats that @SpiderFarmerLED was so generous to send me after winning one of their giveaways. Trying to keep my electric bill down so i shut down my 1500 watt oil heater and decided to just run a heat mat. Lets see how things go. Chemdog still hasnt come around yet after ripping her rootball all to hell but she will get there.

Lsd and skunk have been moved to flower, dont think lsd likes being where she is under the hot spot so ive raised the light and turned it down some just til she stretches out. Not expecting much, rootbound in a 2 gallon pot.

Shes trying to be perky again. Maybe by the end of the week shell be better. Light is way up and turned way down so it can recover quicker.

Stripped off all the dead or dying leaves and branches from her mistreatment over the last 3 weeks. Gonna let her grow up just a bit more, clone all the tops off and chuck the rest on the garden bed.

Welp. Pulled the LSD out of the flower tent and put her back in veg. To much going on, she diesnt look very good, it was in there for 8 days and nothing changed it just got more and more light green, unsure why but whatever. If she doesnt do anything theybwere freebies anyways.

Winter time sucks for me, the floors in my trailer are uninsulated so its always cold and just really f*cks with the bad nerves in my back, i get flat out depressed, im a douche to be around. It also doesnt help i have ZERO spare cash with Christmas coming up for my 2 boys and i can't work. My disability just got cut by $600 even though they marked me at 80% disabled this go round, last time was 50%. Really just starting to hate everything. Gotta go see a doc before i flip my lid. But, C'est la vie.

Hope you are all having a better end to your year than i am lol.

Yeah, my 3 "friends" kinda suck tbh. They only ever want to talk when they want bud or advice from me on their grow that they never actually apply so yeah i feel that 100%

And my wife works 14-16 hours a day so we never really see eachother which sucks majorly.

I used to be one who thought I needed heaps of people around me so called friends since I moved I’ve cut my circle right down never been happier ya soon work out the wheat from the chaff the old man used to say who can call at 3:00am in the middle of nowhere when ya fucked they ya true friends
