I’m in a real shady spot where I live I’m growing in back garden, the plants start to hit the sun at 9am and as soon as it hits 5pm all the suns at the front of house so nowhere in back garden has sun at all, so it’s not ideal but I’m just going with it, I’ve worked out how I can give my plant max sunlight I have to move it twice a day ffsSee if you have another spot in the garden that gets longer direct sunlight. These plants LOVE sun and the more they get the more they grow. 18 hours is ideal but if you can get more than the 8
I didn't see any other trace elements on the label other than the basic NPK. I'd amend with superthive or hormex and let the soil micronutrients finish out the recipe the plant needs. That’s the bottle of tomato feeder, I’ve got some tomatoes growing they ain’t doing to well tbhnext summer I’ll have a go at the veg proplerly
Sure....send them through!I’m in a real shady spot where I live I’m growing in back garden, the plants start to hit the sun at 9am and as soon as it hits 5pm all the suns at the front of house so nowhere in back garden has sun at all, so it’s not ideal but I’m just going with it, I’ve worked out how I can give my plant max sunlight I have to move it twice a day ffsI’ve got a lizard tank it died a few months ago looking to turn that into a little home for one plant it’s not the biggest, it’s got a light in but I’m not sure it’s the right light? It controls the temp and stuff but doing research on this I heard it’s not a good idea to grow with that light apparently it’s only good for the flowering stage? I can upload a picture if you like if you can help with this? where I live I have to be very discreet and summer is going to be over here real soon
Here’s a few pictures of the tank and what it came with, hopefully I can do something with thisSure....send them through!
No worries on light. I get it about the discretion part. It's your first grow. If you decide to continue your path I would seriously start thinking about a tent. Yes there is an initial outlay for setup but once you're done you're done. Basically the cost of nutes, water and light after that. If you decide to go that route I would reccomend the AC Infinity line. I would buy their entire kit. Depending on how much room you have to accomodate the tent I would go with a 3 x 3. This should be able to house at least 2 plants. Having a tent affords much more control of your plants environment and you can try out different techniques and see the results without any outside factors affecting your results.
you must grow some proper stuff then, that sounds wild ahaHA! Same with me. I got into the growing game through my mother. When I was a wee lad she would drag me out to the garden to help her with the bigger stuff. I hated it at first but once I started to see the "fruits" of my labor it really intrigued me. Once I got into college my closet grows became the talk of the dorms and I became the official dorm master grower! LOL!
Those skills transferred over a few years later when one of my dorm mates was an investor in a large warehouse grow op and his master grower was F'ing up the crop. He brought me in and we revived the girls and were able to save a good portion of the crop. He and the other investors asked me to stay on and I continued my journey into Weed World! LOL!
Your reptile tank should be left for reptiles! LOL! It might make a good terrarium for other small form factor plants but weed will get quickly out of control in there. If you want to use it as a nursery or starter capsule then it could be used for that. Keep the reptile light and use it on your plant the last few weeks of flower. It will intensify the resins and trichomes and firm up the flower structure.
If you really want to get a good grasp of how to steer your plants google lessons on basic plant structure and growth patterns. This will give you a basic idea of how plants work, if you don't know already, and how their biology is effected by sun/soil/water. As long as you let this guide you you'll be able to make decisions on your own and not have to second guess yourself. After that go on here to get more targeted tips and tricks to boost the basic knowledge you have acquired.
Good Luck
You want to use some soil that'll breath! High porosity (hp) you can use "Superthrive" (1 drip/drop per gallon! it's cheap & readily available.to hlp the plant become more stable & have plant growth in the new pot.Dont need to add nutrients yet… there is enough in that soil for a while. Its gonna take several days for that to dry out and depending how bad the roots are maybe even a week. You will see it start to green up once its starts to dry back a bit… probably 4-5 days before you see any improvement
I do ok. Small auto might work but you need to keep in mind the height of your chamber and the stuff you'll need in that chamber. Lights and pot height.you must grow some proper stuff then, that sounds wild ahado you not think I could get maybe a small auto in There and maybe trim it back if it gets to big so I still get at least something? But yeah Thankyou for all the advise gunna read all the articles you sent me tonight before bed, I’ve got a closet in my bedroom I don’t use it at all, it’s probably got enough space for 4 plants, if I just just changed the light on the ceiling in there with a proper grow one will that be okay? Defiantly wouldn’t need a tent in there it’s small enough already aha, or could I just get like a lamp and switch the bulb to a proper grow light and grow with out a tent in that room with a lamp with a proper grow bulb in?
Sounds like you have good outcome with the paper towel method, if you feel that starts a strong plant you should try throwing the bean in de chlorinated water & tsp%1peroxide!! 3-5 days on top shelf in a cupboard that gets opened the least.I do ok. Small auto might work but you need to keep in mind the height of your chamber and the stuff you'll need in that chamber. Lights and pot height.
Had some friends over for a BBQ when I was living in California. One of them had just picked up some green from the local dispensary. It was a hybrid. Skywalker OG. I had just finished curing an 8' x 4' tray of that cultivar that I had going in a garage a friend of mine had asked me to setup. I had a couple of Roors glass on the patio table so I wanted to do a comparison since I don't buy dispensary weed. They took a hit of the Dispensary weed and liked how smooth it smoked and, after around 15 minutes, said it was really nice smoke. I gave them mine and they hit it. After around a half hour one of them commented that his face was melting and the others got mad at me accusing me of spiking the weed! LOL!
My friend with the melting face laughed at them and told them how short their memories were(They were all college mates of mine!). We all started cracking up and decided we needed a few shots of Jack Daniels with a beer chaser to celebrate a great harvest!!!
So.....here's my priority list in regards to stages of the plant and what I look at and work on:
If I start from seedling I use the paper towel method. Basic tips would be to use the cheapest paper towel you can find. Expensive paper towels have fabric fiber woven in to make them tougher. We want them as soft as possible so that the tap root and any ensuing sub roots can easily penetrate the towel. Put the towel in a zip lock and stick the ziplock into a cup or container that is black/no light and cover the cup. Place the cup in a warm dry place. On top of your fridge works well since it gets warm up there or a bathroom that stays warm. Once they pop I use tweezers to remove them from the towel but before I do that I take a solo cup and fill it with soil. I take a butter knife and stick it in around 1/2"(12mm on your side of the world) into the soil. Basically whatever the length of the tap root plus a couple mm more. The butter knife is to slightly open the soil. Almost like an envelope. I slide the sprout and tap root, making sure the tap root is facing down, into the envelope and press the soil together to bury the sprout so that I get good soil contact with the tap root. The solo cups have holes poked in the bottom for drainage. I bottom water the solo cup by dunking the newly planted seedling half way into a weak nutrient solution and let the water wick up the soil. Once the media is wet I let it drain which also helps the root make contact with soil as the soil settles back in. This is the point where root development needs to start happening. I let the seedling start to develop its roots naturally, around a week, then add in a root enhancer like Voodoo Juice to supercharge the microbial activity happening below soil line for a couple of weeks every feeding. I use a soil called Roots Organic Original that already has mycorrhizae but I enhance that with Xtreme Gardening MYKOS mycorrhizae just to make sure there is plenty of fungal/microbial action happening at the root horizon.
Essentially we're building as large and healthy a root system as we can to support the later explosive growth we all like to see. This is especially important if you're using a technique that involves topping and fimming to even out the canopy like scrogging where you're splitting up the apical dominance of the plant into several sites rather than one. Having a strong nutrient delivery system is key and roots are the way you'll get that.
After that it's pretty easy sailing since the root system will bring you healthy vibrant foliage that will grow VERY quickly. Later on when you have tons of bud sites the optimized root system will also be able to supply those flowers with lots of nutrient so you'll get bigger, denser colas but before that it involves you moving on to the next phase. Vegetative.
In Veg I concentrate on maintaining bioavailability below surface(large healthy root structure, fungal/microbial network for better food solubility) and start to look at the development of branches and leaves. Here's where the silica and hormex, along with the basic grow nutrient, come into play. Feeding them these nutrients will establish a very healthy branch structure which will be the second part to your nutrient highway. They'll also alleviate a lot of the stress the plant may have to endure as it continues to strengthen or if you make a mistake.
After that it pretty much does it on its own. At this point it's training and watching to make sure no pests or disease infect your plant.
Fun fact.....if you get a mite or powdery mildew infection you can use cows milk as a fungicide to kill off the invaders!! LOL! 60/40 water to milk. Put into a spray bottle and spray down the ENTIRE plant top and bottom of leaves and branches but especially the bottom where mites like to hide and lay eggs. If I'm doing a large grow I'll use a pesticide like Azamax and fog it into the room with a hand fogger to get complete coverage.
Sorry for the long winded post but I thought you might enjoy a breakdown of the areas you want to prioritize when you start up your new grow!
Hmmm....I've heard of that but never tried it. Obviously the dechlor water needs no explanation but I'm guessing the peroxide is to oxygenate the water?Sounds like you have good outcome with the paper towel method, if you feel that starts a strong plant you should try throwing the bean in de chlorinated water & tsp%1peroxide!! 3-5 days on top shelf in a cupboard that gets opened the least.
Absolute monster taps & u dnt have to worry about the ppr tool drying put on ya!!
Yes it does provide a o2 boost - soon I see the tail I go strait to dirt - I tried bout everything , for me the soak and plant works best . Everyone has a little different methodHmmm....I've heard of that but never tried it. Obviously the dechlor water needs no explanation but I'm guessing the peroxide is to oxygenate the water?
I'm gunna try this next time I sprout seed. Thanx Brother!!!!
The creation of water columns is called channeling. Just like a dry sponge, dry soil won't retain much water so the water channels through using the shortest or easiest path to the bottom or to the side of the pot. To avoid channeling, add a little water at a time until the soil is moist enough to take water faster.Second, if you want to avoid overwatering try bottom watering. Take a bucket larger than the one you have the plant in and fill it with 6.0 water, lower the pot into the water and let it float around and wick up the water once it gets close to the soil line pull it out and let it drain. This will wet the entire grow media rather than top watering which will create water columns the water creates looking for the path of least resistance to the bottom and out the pot leaving dry spots.
I'm sure that is a very good method for small grows but when you have to water down 100 transplants the method I described is very effective and saves a lot of time. The creation of water columns is called channeling. Rootsruler that garage looks crazyVideo of garage grow I set up for her. 6 plants in three 4' x 8' flood trays.

Lookin good so far.
What kind of dirt is that?
From what I see ur on a tight budget & using what you have available to you? That's a gr8 place to start, especially if your planning on continuing to grow. It's such a learning experience.
Obviously the plants are going to do their thing being that you water & they get as much light as possible. The biggest recommendation I can give to sum1 just starting is to buy the Medical Growers Bible by
Jorge Cervantes rite around $35.00usd
It'll teach you what you need to know & then some. Great foundation to have.
It looks like your growing outside?
Rite now is about time for early flowering to start.

If I could give a little advice
Personally I agree w avoiding the tank to try growing a plant inside of it auto or not.
If it was a little bigger it may be suitable for clones being that they like humidity.
What you could do with the tank is use it for soil & tape black garbage bag to the outside. Use it as a way to monitor your root development. As that is where healthy plants start. All about the roots.
Keep in mind that would be just a personal science experiment. You do not want the roots to EVER see light/sun. Negative/bad stress.
1st things 1st you want to build a wealth of knowledge. Yes growing will bring that knowledge but over the course of time.
Medical Growers Bible by

Absolutely thee best place to start while also physically starting this growing adventure.
Are you wanting to grow indoor or outdoors?
And sry to be personal & no need to answer, but do you have $$ to put into it?
It can get expensive quick af
I'm curious to what u have to say & to carrying on our conversation
