Foothills 1 is mid stretch, I’m having a tough time getting runoff through her. She goes in cycles of drinking excessively for a day or two then settles back down. But appears happy.
I have about seven inches from the current canopy to the mesh. About 15 to 18 inches to the light. I’m planning to bend and tuck.

Foothills 2 is in simmering mode for veg. I am hoping to keep her small for about eight more weeks before flipping. I don’t know if that’s possible or if she’ll get out of hand.

I also attempted to clone a bunch of cuttings, we’ll see how that goes.

Bay Area 1 is the trouble child. It keeps getting limp about two hours after light on. It may or may not recover overnight. I thought I had a lockout, might actually have overwatered coco, if that’s possible. I skipped a watering and she looks happier.

A few things if I may;

To remove pics or post ask a staff member.

You can definitely over water even in coco. I agree some plants/leaves show signs.

You’re in flower so watch it. Do any trimming or LST before week 3.

Just a few pics of the trouble plants this time so we can focus on issues.

Have a good day TH, L8r.

This is foothills 1
Apples and bananas, clone put into copper Feb 1, 2023.
Flora nova nutrient line.
Flipped to 12/12 first week in March.
First pre flower found Saturday, 3/18. That same location is already a blonde with a spiky haircut

Here is the problem plant.

There are a few messed up leaves, looking like they were chewed on.

Those are the results of me pinching the main terminal bud just before stretching. It helped her thicken up, but really uglified a bunch of leaves.

I am at about the end of week two. I also think I figured out my watering woes.

Instead of 4 one minute feeds I’m considering going to 2 x 2 minutes, hopefully this will resolve the salt buildup.

I need to close the gap a bit, but I’m getting there.

The humidity is my issue. Too low. I need to raise it.
I was hoping to get by without a humidifier, but I think that’s going to be my next addition.

G$ isn’t wrong. I find I need a second plant sometimes just for extra humidity. I used lettuce and it worked great for months.

Otherwise water in a shallow container with a fan blowing over it.

I find this answer to be the correct answer to many questions.

It’s like cow-bell! More cow-bell is always better, just ask BOC and SNL!

More plants!
I started about 6 clones from various cuttings I’ve taken, they are sitting in rock wool and beginning to look like they might be developing roots. The leaves are beginning to perk up :)

More plants!

This update will be for the Bay Area plant only.

The foothills plants have been on their own for a day, I’ll have updates for them as well as their clones that I’m attempting later today or tomorrow.

The Bay Area plant is a little behind (in my opinion), because I let watering issues creep up. I think I have them corrected, the plant definitely looks happier, but it happened in flower week two and was corrected by the beginning of week three.

I’m smelling some aroma, a little lemony at this point, being tangerine dream, I presume that is a good sign.

I also see trichomes on some sugar leaves and branches.

The buds are stacking, but not putting on weight yet.

Change happens every day at this point.

The foothills 1 plant experienced a 4 hour power failure at just after the tenth hour of light, of course the manual timer picked right up and delivered the remaining two hours of light after four hours in the dark.

I’m going to need to monitor her for a while but she doesn’t seem any worse for wear.

I noticed the first pre flower on Saturday 3/18, the buds seem to be stacking up pretty well.

I can’t deliver any aroma updates as the pictures came from my gf. I’ll deliver a more thorough update Saturday 3/25.

I seen so many people try and make side lighting work but, to date, have not seen anyone that can show me it's worth the time, energy and cost to do.

Heard, I've never really looked into, but what's the reasoning for why it's not worth it? Unless top lighting is supplying enough light- but even then, the penetration?- bottom side plants still seem to develop slower than the top, maybe that's not so much just a lighting/related thing.

I've only grown once outdoors so I wouldn't know how outside plants ripen top half-bottom half compared to indoor.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to show any empirical data to prove anything as the only other time I grew this stuff indoors it ended up as a total mess. Somehow at about 3 weeks of flower it got a big hit of N that I never tracked down, but caused a reveg and low bud weight.

Bay area grow: tangerine dream auto.
Flower week 2 +2 days.

Flora nova bloom + massive, growing in coco.

Trichomes coming up strong, aroma showing up, but still understated.
