Looks good! I'm also in CO, but out on the plains. Are the seeds you are making going into the same kind of potting setup? This is my first grow, and I planted in an old dog kennel in alkali clay. Didn't think it would work, but plants had to be bent over & tied down to appease local law enforcement. Wouldn't you get more if you put it in the ground? No disrespect, just a rookie trying to find the right methods for my environment.

Goldnboy The reason I went with smart pots is to allow me to move the plants around and rotate them for best sun exposure. I have a blackout shack I drag them into and out of each night it's really all about photoperiod This way I can trigger flower when I am ready vs when the plants are ready. keep in mind colo doesn't see 12 12 till mid september I was worried they wouldn't get to finish out before they froze. this is like the best of both indoors and out. A tightly controlled photoperiod combined with hot bright sun and wind. they seem to love it.

Thanks for the insight! I made lots of mistakes with this first time. Finding out now that I need to put a roof on my garden, legally. Don't really have the funds to cover 1500 square feet. As you pointed out, an early frost may also be an issue this year.

canna cultivation is an evolution between the plant and the caretaker. there is no set way and I am sure that you will do great goldnboy!I think that for an outdoor grow with a decent yield 20 gallon smart pots are great they are portable hidable shackable rotatable just overall a great concept I am sticking with them.and indoors I expect great results using these same pots they are washable awesome stuff man.
also you can claim they are inside plants that had to be moved outside temporarily for some reason if questions arise. I don't know how the plains are but up in noco its fairly liberal and folks just don't care what you grow in your garden.

day 44 flower;
I noticed today a remarkable increase in trich production on the widow A good sign to be sure she is going to be white I think in a few weeks. I estimate her outer sun leaves will be gone in a week and she will fill in and crustify. the indica has 10-14 days left imo with almost no new pistolate growth. I remain very impressed with this pheno she is very potent and super resonous. I may grow 2 or3 of her just for hash and other concentrates. the early test smoke I did on that broken side shoot yielded some very earthy hash old school indica flavor combined with the immediate feeling of a warm blanket over the shoulders followed by the most couch lock stone that you can get. very relaxing and the three hits I took sent me to nappy land for a few hours. she is good medicine but may be too much for casual use.
the widow on the other hand has a trippy happy energetic high she is much better for regular use i think. my upcoming cross with widow f2 and serious seeds durban is going to be next. it will be interesting to see how the widow changes this indica when I grow out the f1s "2 of em already in the dirt".

well well well the fall weather is still here on the first of september,imo that means its here to stay
the lower night time temps are really starting to bring out the natural colors of these two the widow is golden with hints of brown and bubbles is showing reds dark browns and a hint of purple that may become predominant once cooler nights hit her in the next week or so of her life. the widow is almost alarming in her new resin production the flowers are getting harder to see under the trichs again a good sign

day 46 flower;
hello all and thanks so much for all the likes.
its a good thing I have documented this grow so well as the hdd that had all my pictures took a shit and became unreadable. sad day there.
but on a lighter note I think that bubbles is ready to go she is super crusty and has not put out any new pistols in 2-3 days she just amazingly looks ready at day 46 flower I removed a mature flower and checked the seeds they are fully fully mature big and black looking almost no mottling at all.
miss widow continues to both yellow and produce new flowers and resin she is now sparkly in the sun and looking more and more "white".

I have to admit that if she went till it froze she would only get better but This morning my spidey senses went off and I suddenly fear the thief in the night. aI have more than once lost plants this time of year to thieves that know to wait till there ready. also just look at her she looks ready and also there are seeds that I cannot lose as well.

Day 47 flower harvest;
well I decided to take bubbles out of the game and gratefully gave her a chop. we must be thankful to these great beings that so enhance our lives, I am very greatfull.
after trimming off all the fan leaves some of the inner leaves and hanging her I would say totally wet she weighs a pound or more . I fully expect to get thousands of ripe mature seeds off of her plus several oz of really nice mellow bud.
she could have gone another week but the seeds were ready and man there is so so so many of them wow, all from a small bunch of early male flowers like 3 or 4 of them. he was potent for sure. as well I estimate I got her at peak thc vs cbd etc so she is more sativaish so to speak still gets you en the end but fun in the mean time happy pot.
the widow is still flowering along and has at least 2 weeks to go which will put us at the end of september She is a sativa and I am noticing her buds have a tendancy to get long and lanky much like a sativa.as well her resin output is off the hook now esp after the demise of bubbles.

well my whole house is reeking like kind bud on the vine, a good smell imo.
again just loads of mature seeds and now less work till the newbs sprout cant wait to test these new genetics out very exciting times.

such an exciting time for me here, bubbles is fantastic I estimate 28 to 30% THC and a very up bubbly goofy laughy high without any heavy couch lock at appropriate doses.the trim from the manicure is all I have smoked but wow hey what a fun time. and tasty too a spicy old world indica smell with a hashy undertone an she continues to evolve, so for now im smoking reefers of killer leaf. there will be hash soon as well I have a new screen in the mail as we speak I plan to dry sift and then bho the remaining then mix the two together, yummy stuff for sure but not for the faint of heart.
the white widow is happy and continuing to get whiter and whiter she has time left and I want to ensure she is done. ww is a tricky variety that way it can look ready and just not quite after harvest but if you wait long enough it like mmmm mmmm mmm wow

hey all day 50 flower;
cloudy September weather is bringing out some of the mature hues this plant is capable of purps browns reds and grays? its interesting. I have decided to let the widow go till she will surely freeze and pull her only if she is dead or will get frozen .
I did pull a heavily seed side bud today and wow the seeds are dark dark black really some of the healthiest I have ever seen exciting I can't wait to grow em out and choose my pheno for my upcoming WW x Durban poison cross. maybe named white poison? a sure fire sativa hybrid with vigor short stature early finish outdoors and that Durban grape fruit effect.
and for my indica development I plan to take my bubble x WW seeds and back cross them back to the original mom creating a double bubbles? both will have a place to fill the indica for hash and concentrates and the sativa for buds
