I just harvested about an ounce and a half from an AK Auto tent grow. I used miricalgrow soil and tap water lol. Northern lights to lol. But that's in the dry tent. Don't get me wrong it worked. But I know I can do better and I am I got the fox farm tri some cal mag and happy frog soil and vivo sun meters for ph and tds. I have a co2 bag in the tent also I'm not seeing any results thoe.

Day 30. Loving the top down look of this northern lights. Kind of wish I started her a little more to the side of the pot so I could have a more even canopy across the whole pot.

Also, I’m on Instagram @ _420farmer_ if anyone would like to follow ✌🏼🪴

She seems to be starting her stretch. Defoliated her yesterday as there were 2 leaves that were yellowing a bit from not enough light and some other massive fan leaves that were just blocking other growth needlessly. Hope it didn’t stress her out [too much].

Wild to see the bud sites shoot up and mostly everything else stay lower. Very neat.

It’s interesting to look at other northern lights grows.

I germinated 8 nl seeds and had two distinct phenotypes present themselves.

Does that mean it wasn’t a stabilized strain that I got?

That seems pretty stabile to me, only 2 phenos

usually you get more?

Crazy, I had no idea.

For some reason I thought they would be all uniform with slight differences.
Genes plus environment equals phenotype. Uniform grows are from clones typically, some breeders are better than others.

I get the the clone part, the nl seeds I germinated were all treated the same.

Half stretched didn’t retain nitrogen and showed lockout sensitivity, while half stayed short and dark green with barely any signs of lockout.

Stretched ones are showing bigger colas and more branching.

I saved a mama from the shorter darker green ones, not sure I made the right choice.

That is very interesting, reading your other post further down it looks like I might have gotten the short, dark pheno (assuming phenols can cross over breeders, idk).

Mine are not straight from a breeder but a company that sources them out from breeders in the Netherlands, who knows.

Some breeders will have a strain just for example say ice cream cake. One place has wedding cake X Og kush. Then another breeder it is a sativa leaning gelatto X wedding cake. Then the next breeder it's a indica leaning gelatto with a wedding cake, I would not put any stock into strain names from breeder to breeder

That’s what I’m starting to realize.

Different phenotypes are strains in themselves.

Is anybody still out physically traveling looking for landraces?

I would be interested to know, there was a company that had a series on youtube going all over the world searching. Strain hunters I beleive

This is what I was going to say, I think there’s a massive corp out of Amsterdam that has a team in the Middle East and Caribbean

Where would even start?

Hindu mountains, columbia, South Africa?

That would be sweet to travel and send back seeds.

Where is the earliest recorded use of cannabis? Not quizzing, I have no idea.

This what came up when I searched, I guess earliest recording doesn’t actually mean earliest use though.
