I would say the biggest thing is to do large seed plantings - I like to start 20+ seeds at once, and when really looking for breeding stock, 50+ Everything that gets pm - cull. Everything that's slower growing, growing odd, wonky - cull. Only keep the ones that are growing like mad, only keep ones that have amazing stem rubs. With quality genetics, and a large enough seed selection, will end up with the keepers your looking for.

Also, how often do these dudes replenish their stocks? Hopefully i'll have some money to work with with tuna season coming up, prolly gonna go nuts here and there

That has been hit and miss, they are about to restock smelly cherry and Qrazy Quake. I haven't grown either of them, but I hear Smelly cherry is a nice strain. They are all active on Rollitup, and sounds like they have sour cherry x dog as freebies right now, tell em papapayne sent ya, and they will prob take 15% off :)

To this day, Neville's haze was the best BHO of anything i had ever made, but it was probably limited to aout 20 strains, purple trainwreck was a top 3 as well. I'd love to get my hands on some seeds of that or a cut and try some rosin of it, the terpene profile was out of this fucking world. Man, just thinking about it makes my mouth water ehehe

Yeah, i think it's time i do this. Won't even buy less then a 10 pack and just do 20-50 at a time like you said

Yea, and with that many, even just culling based on vigor and stem rubs will help narrow it down to the very best. The longer I have been growing, the more and more have come to appreciate stem rubs as a telling feature. My most memorable keepers have always had the loudest best stem rubs. Don't be afraid to kill the weak!

Yea, my buddy that is currently living in my backyard in his rv has a nevilles haze x durban poison in veg that is looking ridiculous, got high hopes for that one for sure. I smoked some NH in Amsterdam, was definitely memorable!

My strain that haunts me is fubar...also bred by hemlock. (Vortex x Sensi Star "Death star")

In all my years of smoking and growing, hash or bud, that bud was the most face-melting I have ever experienced. I easily smoke a half pound a month of top shelf bud, so my tolerance is very very high, but the FUBAR would have me melted. It made seasoned smokers get the sweats off the bud. I never made hash outta it...I can't even imagine that. I lost the cuts to the DEA :(

Damn, i'd love to try that. Fuck the feds.To this day i've had this pineapple my buddy made, no idea its genetics, he's long moved to alaska. But, i've light-cycle seeded it out to keep its genetics a few years ago, probably should again. One good hit out of anything of this floors me good. I smoke a fair amount of concentrates, but man, its so smooth and just the murder. I just harvest 2 smaller plants of it, maybe 3oz each, but think ill make some rosin in the next few days. Gonna fish i think tomorrow, so it'll probably turn into a weekend thing.

mind posting some pics?

I had a unknown pineapple hit the garden when I lived in Nor Cal, did it outdoors and didnt take clones. Was pretty damn potent.

and Yea, fuck all of em. feds, police, dea, and that America hating piece of shit president.

got the second screen up above the dog SCROG section. Its already showing nice growth since yesterdays bondage.

Heres a nug of the dog kush to, shes one of my favorites

well, 7.5 gallons of spinosad and 2 hours later, I got all the plants sprayed, both mine and dr.d81s, tops and bottoms. Sprayed, then the doc set off a pyrethin bug bomb. Got all preventives going full board now, gotta get everything settled before flower starts.

I only snapped a few pics of the pineapple this go. It finishes it no later then 45 days here at anytime outdoors. This was my first TLO run, and first grow at my new house, so it'll only get better from here. Also, was short on my run, and short on room in the veg room, so most of my run was only 3-4fters

The hairs end up curing to a light yellow/light brown. Def is sucept to PM here, but in hawaii very few things are anyway..this is at day 23

Nice frost. Is humidity your biggest fight there on the island? Do you guys have root aphids or russet mites there?

Yeah, humidity is def.the biggest fight. We have both aphids and russet mites, but the most problematic for most people here is broad mite. I know i have no way to stop PM in most of my strains, so ive been popping more seeds trying to find the pm resist strain. Its just so expensive in hawaii for electric, that i can't afford to pay 1k/mo for a 20x20 controlled climate greenhouse.

yea, a lot of strains get it thats for sure. I spray green cure biweekly, and neem on opposite weekends, and then the sulfur burner weekly. Even after that for 2 months, some strains never seem to loose it. I am breeding for that though, have 2 totally clean even next to pm plants males in flower, going to f2 with, and backcross with, and cross to all my winner females. Best solution I have come up with....pop beans till you find the winners, be aggressive with culling the weak, and eventually what you will be left with is the best.

PM me a message, perhaps I can get you hooked up with some beans to try?

my 2 males that are starting flower today. these were the first 2 to show sex, and 2 distinctly different phenos. One is nice and squat, with a very loud stem rub that reeks of blueberry and fuel. The second pheno seems taller with bigger node gaps, but a very hazey sweet stem rub. Thick stems on both, with vigorous growth. Looking forward to seeing how they flower out.

Have a few more plants looking male, that might also get thrown into the male room, to see how they look in flower.
