Very excited to offer this community my first grow log and my FIRST time working with beans. I have to give thanks to the new Breeder on the scene, Uprising for allowing me to test his gear (Very professional!) as well as Squiggly and Soser for there help in popping these!
Grow Log start date: Thursday Nov. 8, 2012
Strain: Peter Tosh (Ken's GDP x White OG) :)
11/8/12: Received beans in mail and immediately dropped the 13 into a cup of de-chorlinated water, pH to 7.0...Left for 24 hours
11/9/12: Noticed 4 cracked, so, I wetted a paper towel with the same water, laid the beans out and placed it in a zip lock bag, filled with air.
11/10/12: 2 more cracked making it 6 out of 13, I placed the zip lock bag on top of the water heater to keep these babies warm. (Thanks SOSER!)
11/11/12: 11 now popped, and they looked to be heavy enough roots for soil so I preped 3.5" soil cups with Roots Organics soil and dropped them 1/4"-1/2" down (Thanks Squiggly!) and used a pipette to water the soil with a freshly brewed tea of: Humisoil, EWC, CAPS, and Molasses. Placed the cups on a tray with a heat mat under it and slid under a T8.
11/12/12: Woke up this morning to 1 sprout so far, looks like they're enjoying the bennies! Hopeful to see the rest soon.
