If it's a 9 week phenotype give half strength week 8 and last week molasses with water double the normal amount, 8L/pot

The 2x Hindu Kush are 7 weeks but the Northern Lights is a 9 week pheno. The problem I have is that we have to vacate our current home by the 8th of September at the latest which is exactly 5 weeks today. This Sunday will be their fifth week of flower exactly, so if I was to give the Northern Light 9 weeks that would take me up to the 3rd of September and would only give me 5 days drying time at the most which I don't think is enough? I've only got one room to dry in and one inline fan/carbon filter too so I'll have to harvest all three plants after about 8 weeks, or does that idea illustrate my ignorance and inexperience? 😆

Edit - Thinking about it, I actually have another room I can dry in, so should I cut the Hindu Kush at 7 weeks and then give the Northern Light 8 and a half weeks of flower? That'll give me about 8 days to dry it, by which point the Hindu Kush will already be curing? What would you do?

one week more or less is not the end of the world, do what you gotta do, 7-10 days they should be dry enough to transport.
cheers!

I've got so much shit going on in my life right now I'll be amazed if I even manage to pull any decent weed from these plants. Tomorrow is another day though.

I have a baby and a toddler. 30 minutes in the morning (if I don’t get up early enough, plants go 24 hours missing me) and 1-2 hours on the weekends to mess with my plants. You’ll be fine.

As for the harvesting, I disregard grow times per pheno type. It’s all a visual game to play when you hit 8 weeks. It will never hurt them to let one go an extra week to do a full grow chop. If you forget to Ripen or they are ready before you do, it’s alright. If you don’t flush, no worries.

Focus on the dry and cure and be extremely patient in this stage. The very last process is what will make or break your harvest.

Take a look at my “shit” grow. Fluffy, airy, stinky and fruity. It’s not the most ideal but it sure does a wonderful job and I enjoy the blaze. Even though I pulled them pretty sub prime. I made a lot of boo boos during the grow. I’d say your stresses on the plants are just from nutrient adjustments too often. If you’re adjusting nutrients, at the very least, do not have differing end PPM to the feed mix. That’s going to relieve stress on the plant. Change the nutrients but keep that PPM reading the same throughout your grow. Too much Fn around is just asking for trouble. They look fine to me. If they show a slight issue, don’t smash it right away. 3 days between changes and I wouldn’t be changing my nutrient regiment but every other feed in soil. Hydro I can change it on a dime and just suck out and redo. Soil is a no mistake deal or you 3 day flush and start over. So less is best in soil if you’re having issues. Again, find that nutrient mix and stick to it. The plant doesn’t give a crap if you increase “this” at this or that time. Just be consistent and they will too.

Also, when trying to take advice from or follow direction of an experienced grower, to a newbie is always a spell to disaster. There is a patience that comes with growing and only attained through time. It is the reason most experienced growers say keep it simple. Because they have the time investment to understand the patience weed requires. They don’t mean be minimal, they mean to not make adjustments all the time. First grow, focus succeeding minimally, not being complex and thinking too deep. Spend the 3-4 weeks of dry and cure to make mental adjustments and what you’ll do differently. Scramble your brain and plants through the process and you won’t know what to do next run and have the same experience. Simple, successful. Then you can go playing around.

I know Trash2002 may be experienced but I think you need to disregard his guidance. His specificness is not what you need to be successful. Just a month or so ago you were trying to figure out how to vent the room and what the plants basic need ls are. Today, you are being lead into a complex advanced lesson. When you know everything is right from a previous grow, you don’t need guidance you adjust from knowledge and prior experiences.

Not being a D bag, just saying you need to keep it simple and Trash2002 is not helping you keep it that way.

what you do my friend is chop it all early and do a proper dry and cure. Enjoy the cerebral high and slightly lower than maximum thc. If you push your dry and cure, that is what is going to produce some crap buds. While they dry in that whole entire room, break down your room and pack it all up to leave.

Is it possible to keeping renting the place for another month, provided you're moving somewhere close by?

I feel you mate, you will pull some decent weed from those plants for sure ;-)

Apart from feeding them yesterday I've barely had time to even look at them in the last three days. The buds on the Hindu Kush plants look great though and they're starting to get frosty too. I can't wait until we move in to the new house and get settled because I can really dedicate myself to the next grow and if I can have this much success when I'm preoccupied with other things then the next grow should be even more successful.

No
just make sure they are properly dried, than you can transport and trim/cure already at the next house; if you have time its better to trim and pot em before the move, it will take less space this way.
seal them good the smell after some hours/day will scape virtually any pot if they are very terpy buds. (triple bag will delay a bit more smells scaping)

Could be a start of calcium deficiency, up your calmag to 9ml/12L.

The buds are getting fatter by the day there! Nice!

That nitrogen deficiency is linked with too fast of a switch to only Bloom nutrients in flower.

There's only so much that can be done about it now, like I said is better to adjust your schedule for next cycle to avoid that , for now up the EC to 1.8 for weeks 6-7-8 than 1 week half nutrients and a last week water with molasses only.

That fade is normal after week 7-8 flowering tho, but starting at week 4-5 was a bit early. Thats why knowing our cultivars/phenotypes is so important.

I'm not sure what to do here. I vegged my plants for 8 weeks and this is my 5th week of flower so if I'm following the Fox Farm feeding schedule does that mean I'm in the equivalent of week 10 and should therefore cut out the Grow Big and CalMag? The only spare time I have from my day tomorrow to feed them is when I wake up and that's only about 8 hours from now so I probably won't hear from you until I've already gone ahead and fed them. I'm going to cut out the Grow Big, but will give them some CalMag. I hope that you'll agree with that decision and tell me that that is what you would have done!

cut out cal/mag 10-15 days before harvest, they don't need it to finish ripening the flowers.
and you would be at week 9 equivalent according to the chart.

Get yourself some PH test strips and test your water. Then test your Fertilizer solution. When you flush the Molasses test the run off.
See where your at. I looked up your potting medium but could not find anything on it. So you need to do a little ground work.

When growing one must make up his mind weather he is going to grow organic or grow with man made chemical fertilizers with NPK numbers on the bottle. Anything with an NPK is designed to bypass the natural food web and feed the plant directly rather than feeding living soil and having the life in the soil provide the plant. These are 2 different systems.

I'd suggest that you flush the molasses out of your pots.
For the next 2 weeks treat these plants as seedlings. Feed something like 5-15-5 once a week. This will help get the roots going so they can handle the next phase. Mix 1/2 tsp of Cal-Mag in 1 gallon of water. Add the 5-15-5 Water with this solution twice 7 days apart. You can keep it in a jug with a lid.

7 days later. Switch to a higher nitrogen mix 1/2 strength.
Mix 1/2 tsp of Cal-Mag in 1 gallon of water. Add the Nitrogen fertilizer, measure carefully. 1/2 strength!
Water with this once a week for 3-4 weeks then up the Nitrogen fertilizer to full strength.
You can mix a gallon and keep it in a jug with a lid on it and use it once a week. Then make more when needed.
Your plants should take off and grow.

This should get you going.
Maybe turn the light down a bit more. These plants are very compact.
This is usually caused but very high light conditions. They are very young, give them springtime light rather than Dog days of summer.

This is good advice and I couldn't agree more

Ok cool, it's 0743 where I am and I'm just about to start feeding them so I'll add Grow Big to the mix as well. Cheers! This schedule is based on 4 weeks of veg though so wouldn't that mean I am at week 10 now? It's confusing all of this!

If this schedule is based on 4 weeks of veg and I'm in the 6th week of flower surely I'm in week 10 now? I went ahead and gave them Grow Big again but I don't think I should have done. Is this going to make a lot of difference or will I get away with it if I cut out Grow Big the next time I feed?

The schedule is based on 4 weeks veg but also 8 weeks flowering, two different stages :-)
no big deal at all using grow big one week more or one week less tho.

These were taken yesterday morning after I fed them. The yellow leaves are now appearing on the other Hindu Kush plant at the front, as well as browning on the edges of some of the leaves. Everything was going so well until this started happening. The buds look pretty good though so I should still pull some decent ganja from these plants.

for a first grow you are crushing it !!! really nice frosty dense nugs there.
the early fade, it happens, next grow you know what to do to prevent it :-)
Don't bother with the early yellowing, they gonna smoke nicely after curing.
Cheers!
