Yeah, the two in hydro are heisenberg specials from mephisto i got for a comparative grow on another site. Doing pretty well comparatively considering it's my third grow ever right now. =)

in other news i pulled a bud off from the lower depths of christine and frankly even early and uncured it's easily as good as the bud i have from the terp collective down here. it doesn't taste great but that will come with the cure, i wasn't expecting much of anything out of it but we were pretty stoned by the end of the first bowl.

Day 81: Today is chop day on the Heisenbergs, omg they're good already smoked straight off the plant lol. The soil box is doing well, guessing a few weeks left in there. Here's some final live plant shots i grabbed last night.The trichome coverage on these heisenberg specials is outstanding!
Here's the soil box, I pulled a giant green seed out of a top bud on the romulan. I hope it's not seeded too bad, the buds are still fattening so i think i'm ok. It doesn't surprise me as it came from an unintentional hermie. She is smelling fruitylicious though! Romulan-k is left and Lemon Kush Headband is right. The romulan has destroyed the lemon kush headband on growth.

Got Both heisenbergs harvested and dried. Weights were 240 grams and 251 grams. 1.08 Lbs and had 101 grams of dried trim. The smokes great already so i know after the cure i'm going to be happy. Stoked!

Romulan-k and Lemon kush headband Lookin good this morning, couple weeks left! Also have some new additions, a grape ape and two frog dog reveg clones and two skywalker autos for this next mephisto comparative. They were thirsty when i snapped this last night.

I've got some new babies starting and the old girls are almost done. Tents getting crowded so hoping the girls in the box don't take too much longer. Thinking a week on the romulan and two left on the lemon kush headband.Lost one grape ape reveg and one of the fro dog reveg clones in looking really odd to say the least, growing single double triple and quadruple bladed leaves. The other frog doog looks great and the other grape ape i'm proud to say is looking like it's going to turn beastly, tons of tops already showing!

Wow, really like your bud shots, so clear and crisp. Makes me want to break out the bong. lol Where is the best place to purchase Mephisto's Heisenbergs? those look amazing.

I think you can buy them from mephisto genetics but they're on all kinds of seed banks including the one here i think. I use the vault for all my seeds just because i love the people there and they're dependable. It's funny that you say that too because i have to cut the quality of my pics i take with the nikon in half to get the file size small enough to post on here. Wish i could post the full 4k shots. Thanks too btw. =)

Did you find much variation in the hiesenberg seeds? Any special traits to look for? You mentioned earlier about pulling a seed, I thinkI may have spotted one in pic 8 (from the top) of post #29 top right side of the bud. Assuming that is the plant you plucked the other one from. The resin production on your plants looks top notch.

A lot of people in the comparative had bud rot issues with the heisenbergs, You need to keep the RH really low in flower if you grow them. Most people only got a little over two ounces from them. I don't really know why mine got so big. One was more sativa then the other but both were pretty indica. Despite being bigger the plant that was on the right was a little lighter then the shorter one and has more airy buds, they feel exactly the same. The only advice i can really offer is they did well on 20 hours of light with fairly heavy food, keep the RH low in flower, they don't like too much heat at all and a little creative leaf tucking goes a long way. And yes there's definitely seeds in the romulan but it's ok. The buds are fattening and they aren't seeded too bad. Besides i can turn every seed into a half a pound using bubble buckets so who am i to complain if little half pound seeds roll out of those tasty nugs. =)

Thank you for the info PNW grower. Is anyone else in the comparative doing a journal? I'd like to see more. I don't see any male flowers in the pics you have, do you think those were caused by stray pollen? I ended up pulling males a little late last round and got a few seeds, only 16 though. Extra seeds is a good thing in my book.

That romulan-k has hermied just a little, i can't find any balls so i'm just hoping for as few seeds as possible. There's only two plants in that box and it's the bigger one so no way i'd chop it for a couple balls i can't find. Yes there's a whole thread for the comparative on a few sites. The one i scored my way into is on the grass city forums. i don't know if it's ok to link to another weed forum site on here but i'll drop one. I've got journals going on 3 pages and on my third comparative now with two still going, the romulan-k is a comparative plant too. Love me some free seeds! =)

I certainly wouldn't chop a plant like that for a couple seeds, not that far along. I'm new to comparatives, this is the first one that I have seen. Going to go and do some reading. I'm not sure if they do comparatives here or not.

Made some Heisenberg special bubble hash today and decided to drop a how to for anyone who happens by and might find this info useful.
You will need:
Bubble bags, any set will do really. i use a four bag set 220,120,73 and 25 micron bags and a 25 micron pressing screen.
Ice, i used three bags but expected to use four.
Clean water, 4 gallons. If you wouldn't drink it don't use it.
a bucket
A preferably metal stick to stir and poke with.
a spray bottle
A microplaner or cheese grater. Cheese grater works fine.
A spoon, Works best if it's cold. you can freeze it till you use it. personally i just don't.
Towel and a box to put the hash blobs on to start sucking water out of them
You will also want a bigger box to microplane them onto to fully dry after freezing. Mold can be an issue if you try to dry the full blobs i know this from experience. I don't get that issue with the freeze and microplane method.
First thing is prep. Freeze your gallons of water for about an hour - hour and a half and freeze the buds and/or trim( i used both 50/50 this time, regreting mixing it.) You want every thing cold. i don't bother trying to cool the room i just keep extra ice on hand to keep the water cold.
Put the bubble bags in the bucket smallest number first biggest number last. The bag with the biggest number 220 on mine is your work bag it's only for holding the material and ice, the other three are the filter catch bags.
Yes btw this is so clean i do it in my two empty hydro buckets. I clean them with some bleach afterwards and they're like new. Make a layer of ice then spread out a layer of buds/trim across it and then stack more ice, buds, ice, buds until the ice is at the level you want it.
Now add that ice cold water untill it's just about at the top of the ice. You make it almost frozen so it doesn't melt all the ice when you pour it in.
Now you wait, about 5 or ten minutes and let it get really cold then start poking and stiring away. The amount of time your stir depends on how much you want per pull. I prefer to stir for 15 mins on the first pull ten on the second and 5 on the third. 5 for any thereafter if there is. After 15 minutes of stiring stop and it needs to sit for 15-20 minutes. I bang on the side of the bucket to help trichomes sink to the bottom of the bucket. after the wait time has past pull the work bag out let it drain into the filter bags and set it in another container, you still need it.
Now you need your spoon a towel and a spray bottle. When you pull the first one it drains easy, on the second and thirs it slows because the mesh is so tight. it's the trichomes plugging them give it a quick light shake and lift the trichomes and you can get the water out a lot faster. i roll the bags up and use the spray bottle to spray the hash together at the bottom of the bag then just spoon it out onto the pressing screen on the towel to dry. the towel sucks the water out faster, makes a big difference.
120 micron
73 micron (my favorite)
25 micron.
I push them into little piles to make it easier to microplane them. Beach sand, this is what it should look like. I got a lot of plant matter in the second and third run. I think it was because i had so much trim in there.
Now rinse your bags quickly with cold water and get them back in a bucket, put the work bag back in. Fill it up with a little fresh ice and pour the water back in from the first bucket. Repeat all the steps from the beginning. You can see how you get more and more plant matter each pull. some people go 7 pulls. the green stuff is still pretty good in their defense.
I did three runs. no idea how much it is but it's a lot and i probably will never weigh it because i have no intention of selling any of this. It's mine! Well, a few happy friends there will be too.
When your done put them all on cardboard and get them into the freezer for about 90 minutes. and freeze the grater too it helps keep the hash from sticking too bad. Grate the has balls onto the big sheet of cardboard and dry it for at least a couple hours, make sure it's dry before you package it. depending on your humidity it can dry in a couple hours or over night. then if you have them package them up in some silicone containers with as little air in the m as possible. just about any container will do but it sticks pretty good to some i'd recommend silicone or glass. This was 15, 10 and 5 minute stirs. Got most of the good stuff first pull.
