sorry stoner moment lol... i read it too and i was like ohh fuck people are gonna think im for real... honestly i didnt wear anything when i would spray i would just hold my breath lol what a dumbass i was for doing that... i dont use it anymore... i was thinking maybe its not a good idea to go to the hydro stores because of how many growers go the those stores and are carrying bugs on their clothing...

I also spray down the co2 bottles with bleach...think about it every other month these co2 bottles are in a different grow room. I found a place about 30 mins away that will refill your tanks on the spot so Im gonna start doing that vs trading tanks in.

it sux that people sell or gift other people infected cuts.. i know its our responsibility to spray and check for these fuckn pest but damn sometimes we trust our friends not to do us wrong... i really stopped adding cuts to my garden.. 2013 im going to start popping the beans ive been collecting for over 15 yrs...

I keep my shit as clean as possible as well as myself even though Im hippy as shit. period. when taking cuts I soak them in physan20 @ 1 ml gal for 24 hrs, then when vegged for a couple weeks hit with forbid with aact foliar and seldom eagle 20 before flip. For the past couple years Ive been using more aact with much more diversity in teas and all around leading to better rootmass/plant health which aids all around.

Physan20: systematic out in 2-3 days and good to take cuts and do a 24 hour soak in ro may as well add this.
Forbid: Kills almost all bugs and also is a proven systematic. thanks treebark
Eagle20: PM

Ogbiowar packs or compost/ewc will help if foliared.

Im also going to order a product called pyganics soon which was mentioned by another farmer to use which has pyrethrein in it so Im guessing could be beneficial especially since boasting a day before harvest use.. Well see. Hope this helps

Fucking amen to that brotha! First of all I'm taking some time off but when I come back its all seeds. First of all I want a few moms at most vs 30 then ill make seeds before before killing those moms and then crack some new strains. That way my mother room won't get out of control again. I'm already planning for the day I return, I'm gonna start with some fems to save time on the return also. I'm thinking about these as choices. White Fire, Sour Lemon Alien Dawg, Sour Pebbles and Cherry AK x Alien Diesel. But that decisions for a later date.

I like to flower as organically as possible but when it comes to my mother and veg room all bets are off. It all starts with treating your mother/veg room and plants aggressively.

Just outside of my veg room I put on a Tyvek suit, and disposable booties. EVERY single time, no matter how much of a rush I'm in. Workers do the same and are asked to shower and change into clean clothes before they come over.

In my mother/veg room I use sticky traps, bombs, systemics and sprays. When I get a new cut from someone is when any and all problems will occur. As soon as I get new cuts I water them with 1ml per gal of Eagle 20 and I spray them with 1 ml per gal of Eagle 20 and 1/4-1/2 tsp per gal of Floramite (in the same sprayer). Two days later I will spray them with 1 ml per gal of E20 and 1/4-1/2 tsp per gal of Avid (in the same sprayer). Two days later I'll set off a Pyrethrum bomb and water them with Triazicide and Bayer Tree & Shrub. Then I'll spray Azamax once a week as my main preventative from there on out. If I do run into mites again at any point then I go back on the Avid and Floramite leapfrog every 72 hours.

I sterilize the veg room once a month (if I wasn't kinda lazy I'd do it once a week) as well with with a 5% bleach solution. I spray and wipe down everything but the plants and mop the room with the same thing. Also I hang Hot Shot, No Pest Strips. One in the entry room, one in veg and one in the flower room for the first 3 weeks of 12/12.

I will be adding Forbid and Conserve SC to the mother room preventative regimen and rotating everything randomly from here on out. I'll be using a 4'x4' quarantine tent in the mother room from this point forward as well.

All in all my preventative schedule works really well. If you do obtain cuts from someone ask what pesticides they use and at what dosages...this has recently caused a problem for me as the person I obtained cuts from was using the same things as I was and the mites became very resistant...I didn't find this out until it became an issue.

And of course you should read all labels, turn off all fans and lights, wear all the protective gear...a full face mask respirator, Tyvek suit (with a hood), gloves, etc...These are all very dangerous products and should be treated with extreme caution.

Great thread ;)

This thread is a couple hours old and is already more valuable than any grow book I've ever read or bought and I own a few to say the least.

Fucking priceless guys...keep it up.

Delae could be a fucking advisor to the US Defense Dept.

Look at all the positive that's already come out of losing my garden:)

here is one for you dan...from my archives of useless information lol....
the element in a hps bulb..the glass tube on the inside..work as a fine sharpening stone ;)..suspect to exposer lol ...but will put a razors edge on a knife ..use like a steal

And then Ill cut the legs off the mites with the knife...I like where your going with this ;)

I think its just sand, silica dioxide. great stuff imo. Organic as fuck. Greensand may work as well but I forget what it attributes. probably best with sand or perlite. DE will raise ph for sure but as a tradeoff stronger branches and that could help pests. Silica spray ftw.

thats why i like D.E. bro...just the thought of what it does to the bugs in the soil..tickles me :D

I'm thinking of breeding pests just to torture them. I want to start like a mite farm and just go medieval on their ass. That's what I'm planning for my down time to relax n shit. Ill sell em to frustrated growers...theyll come in a kit like ant farms.

ok so first off, c'mon man @ all the folks (not just the dude that posted) not using a fucking respirator when rocking these sprays/bombs/etc. half of them arent even meant to be used in the fashion we use them, so at least take some standard precautions.

i like to bomb the room with Attain between grows. Its a little more gnarly than the Pyrethrum but it gets any eggs that may have been left behind.

I bomb the entire basement a couple times a year too. After that I hose it down top to bottom and spray Bifenthrin around the windows, corners, etc. Bifenthrin is just the active ingredient in Ortho n shit. That spray also gets applied like mad on the exterior of the property.

As for preventative sprays I agree with whats been said above. Flower is the time to be organic and do things cautiously. Veg is the time for war. I spray Forbid and some type of Spinosad in veg. Outside of those I mainly just spray teas.

Im getting sick of seeing springtails, I know folks say they are hard to kill too.
