Sorry my bad i read it wrong... your all good except the chlorine may be a bit hard on the microbes
You can try Happy Frog mixed 50/50 with Coco Loco. I use that outdoors and it is so forgiving! Then all you need is veg nutrient. After 5 years of experimenting, I am back to where I started when I knew nothing.
Lift the pot to see how heavy (or light) it is. Slowly wet the whole pot. Stop, look for water coming out at the bottom. Catch it in a saucer and pour out the excess so your roots don’t rot from sitting in water. Don’t water again until it feels light...mine take several days...in soil. Coco has to be watered every day; just be sure to catch the excess and remove it.Will do that right now! in the mean time, i literally recorded myself watering. To much? to little?
Several days, Got you. Should i aim for a number like 5-7 days? or should i just water it, let it dry and not really worry about how long it takes? I just heard it should take like 4 days or something, this was on some stupid google site tho. Appreciate the input!!Lift the pot to see how heavy (or light) it is. Slowly wet the whole pot. It depends on how much the soil drains, how warm is the tent/room. My soil pots take 3 days...but you can count what yours take and then use that as your rule of thumb. I believe cannabis prefers to get a little dry between watering...not bone dry for too long. Some let theirs start to wilt before they water but I am too much of an Italian mother to let my babies starve!Several days, Got you. So, fill 5 gallon bucket with water, let sit for 24 hours, evaporate chlorine, correct???? i think thats what i read???
Okay, so youre saying purchasing Ascorbic acid and adding to my water would be what to do?just making sure i understand correctly.Nope that works for chlorine but not chloramines. They can last a long time after coming out of the tap its chlorine bound with ammonia and its quite a stong bond so it requires a chemical reaction to break that bond. It reacts with organics and thats what the first water post you made was showing. The byproducts that that creates are nasty. So something like seachem prime or ascorbic acid (vitamin C) will break that bond and free the chlorine to off gas. if using ascobic acid for you level of chloramine you will want 1 gram per 50 gal to neutralize it. Seachem prime is probably easier. I mean i can't say for certain that it will kill your soil microbes but that is a pretty high level when compared to most tap water.
That is also a good option yesOkay, so youre saying purchasing Ascorbic acid and adding to my water would be what to do?just making sure i understand correctly.
what i did on my first grow is i would mix 2.5gal of tap water and 2.5 of distilled, ph balance and water. Should i go back to doing that???
That may be the difference... The plant may not be happy with the amount of chloramine. I cannot say for certain but 2ppm is not a small amount.Okay, so youre saying purchasing Ascorbic acid and adding to my water would be what to do?just making sure i understand correctly.

okay, i see what youre saying now. Where should i go with this from here?let it dry? Like did i fuck it up from the beginning ya knoe? stop the madness, start over??Ok let me explain over watering a bit. Its not that the plants has to much water (I grow in put water) its that the root system doesn't have enough oxygen. Pouring water in will bring new fresh oxygenated water into the soil and as it drains will also pull air into the soil. Here is what i think is happening. You are barely wetting the soil there is not much newly oxygenated water and its not draining pulling fresh o2 into the soil. Its more like a stagnant pond creating anaerobic conditions.
I would mix 50/50 and water till you get a decent run off maybe 20%. But that's just me i'm not a coco growerokay, i see what youre saying now. Where should i go with this from here?let it dry? Like did i fuck it up from the beginning ya knoe? stop the madness, start over??
Nothing wrong dude I wish i had more experience in coco. But honestly if ya can mix some 50/50 I would just flood that pot and waitI honestly feel like i just need to kind of reset myself, reset the madness, just start from square one, get some happy frog, a one part nutrient, and really watch myself just from step one? get rid of the bad history? Maybe i am over reacting and its just a matter of time and me watering better. But i feel like just with all the advice, just within this post, i want to start over and use the advice given as my new guide lol. get a correct nute etc. i wont over fert in the beginning like i did this one. better watering practices etc. i live in colorado so im not to worried about losing a little plant anymore as seeds are pretty obtainable. im a "save the stress for later" type of guy lol.
FFOF currently.Nothing wrong dude I wish i had more experience in coco. But honestly if ya can mix some 50/50 I would just flood that pot and wait
Here is my 2 cents if I had this plant. Go get 5 gallons of distilled water. Add calmag according to the bottle, microbes if ya got em, and ph to 5.8-6.2. Water thoroughly and discard the runoff...however much that is but you should have some. Let it dry out at least 2 days (probably 3-4 with that mix), then repeat. This will concentrate on root growth...you need a healthy root system. Your soil mix has enough nutrients for awhile. When I follow this ‘recipe’ to get really good roots going first, then the rest follows. My problem is flower time when I want to feed all the PK booster cuz bigger is better.
Agreed take all the ifs out and go from there. Here is my 2 cents if I had this plant. Go get 5 gallons of distilled water. Add calmag according to the bottle, microbes if ya got em, and ph to 5.8-62. I don’t think this plant looks bad...soil looked dry and roots are wimpy but I think it is just young.Agreed take all the ifs out and go from there.
Yeah I think it could be a couple things but your advice is right. Straight distilled or RO reconstituted with about 150ppm cal mag and water till good run off.I don’t think this plant looks bad...soil looked dry and roots are wimpy but I think it is just young.
