I finding Dead mites this morning!
I sprayed the conserve at 5ml per gal on monday and I was still seeing some live ones:depressed:

So, last nite, I sprayed 4 cups of Nuke em and a quart of Iso mixed with 4 gals of water.
Boom..dead bugs this morning.. :)

Im out of nuke em now.....But Im going to keep hitting them with Iso

Also in the interest of science, I will report this.
I chopped a plant that was infested bad..and hung it in my drying tent to see if the mites would die.
Two days later..I scoped a bud..They were Still alive!:nailbiting::arghh:

So, My wife says, "stick it it the microwave" ..I lol..and told her I cant do that with all this weed.
but i did try it with a branch...10 seconds...dead bugs!.. actually, they were gone!
..I think they exploded or evaporated?
Mean while, I put a heater in the tent and cooked the rest of that plant at 115 for a few hours...lol
I turned the exhaust fan on before I went to bed to cool it and bring the rh back down.
This moring im happy to report..lots of Dead mites! But...Who the hell wants to smoke mites?
Not sure what im going to do with it yet.

Back to the battle :depressed:

You can certainly make oil with it, the mites would be filtered out. I'm wondering what the iso may have done, if it has any efficacy at all.

Such a drag that you're still having to fight this horrible pestilence;
at least all your scientific studies and efforts are keeping them in check,
and will greatly help the rest of us--
thanx for that...

Me too..I only had one quart of 90% Iso. on hand last nite..and I only had about 32 oz of Nuke em..
Something told me to mix em so I did...I swear the Mix killed millions of them!
It didnt seem to hurt the plants or pistols either
Im going to get more Iso. and use that from here on out..

It is a drag man..But, Its all part of farming I guess..
The Bright side is, some of the plants are more resistant and are doing ok.
So at least I will have some smoke till I can grow more..

Im not very scientific ..but I will keep reporting

Im sure those mites are everywhere now and Im not going back to avid..So,
Im going to have to find a way to control these fuckers some how
I have two clones (im trying to save my wife's Bubba kush!) and some seedlings in my closet..
.(sort of a test) the clones were infested..and have recovered (it seems)..They look ok for now..so I dont want to kill em yet
We will see what happen with those

Breed the most resistant ones...
I plan to grow more of the resistant ones..maybe breed some in the future.
Thankfully My wife's Bubba kush seems to be one of the resistant ones :)

Wonder no more..I found some more live mites :arghh:
So, I filled a shot glass half full of water and filled it the rest of the way with 90% iso.
I dunked the bud in it and scoped it right away. The mites were dead
(and harder to find) BUT...the trichomes melted!!
So i tryed again with 2/3 water 1/3 iso...still killed the mites
but still melted a couple trichs:meh:

Microwave works pretty good though:bag:
:hungover:

Thanks but
I think about giving up a couple times a day or more
I probably will
But, for now, I need to focus on what I have left
And try not to think about what a disaster this is
When I get depressed, I don't get much done
I have a lot to do
So, shit,
It could have been worse
Life goes on

This morning i mixed a quart of 70% iso with 3 quarts of water and sprayed a couple of the worst plants. about 6 hours later, Im scoping,
it looks like about 90% of the mites are dead...(not moving)
But there are still some slow crawlers
Good news is the trichs look ok
So, I just got more Iso..im going to spray em all with it tonght

I got these bastards, thought it was dust for months. They are infested in my veg house. I have a feeling they are on the big girls just not sure yet. Im really curious about the living on dry flowers thing. Is that even possible? I really would hate to loose my genetics. I'm going DE the shit out of them, and probably some chem's. I well kill everything if I must.

For the big girls if they have them I am not noticing any effect (taco leaves, dust looking shit and what not) I would just hate this to destroy everything after it dry's. I'm to close to the end to do anything for the big girls, but pray. I live at around 3200 feet in the sierra's north of grass valley. Do you think the cold helps? The temp has been dropping at night quite a bit. What should I do? I joined this site just to post on this thread, and i'm glad it exits.

I know I got this from a clone my friend gave me, and guess what he has been m.i.a. for months. I hope he is ok, or just hiding.

I am scopeing dry buds and trying to answer that question.
I scoped some that were hanging for 4 days and found a few still wiggling..
but most wernt moving anymore
and this morning, I scoped some fully dry jarred buds.(10 days from cut)
I cant find many bodies on em..and no movement.
I will keep looking and reporting..It seems like some one would already have done that
but I cant find any thing about it.
the damage doesn't seem to worsen while drying
Im thinking the mites dry up and fall off just like the leaves..
and thats what im seeing so far.
