Thanks! I love growing in coco, it’s the next best thing to true hydroponics. I buy the compressed coco bricks (10ish pounds bricks)and hydrate them one at a time in one of those large rectangular storage containers. I then rinse and buffer it in 1 gallon fabric pots as I need it. Much easier that way.

So let's see if I got this right,
Water 6.2, ppm before nutes? RO? Distilled?
1 gal fabric pots with clean/washed coco
Light: Greenhouse w/ solar 400 lumens LED's to extend light cycle. It is what it is for me.
Transplant seedlings? What age? Or just start them in the 1 gal?
Veg plant 4 weeks (I figure 6-8)
Feed-Masterblend
Veg: 1/4 teaspoon each per gal.
Flower: 1/4 tsp of tomato-veg & Epsom and weekly 1/4 tsp elemental sulfer. Do you mix that with nutes or alone?

End of feeding/water only (number of days before chop)?

Flush weekly, every other week, ever?

Thanks.

I use tap water, add nutrients then adjust pH. I adjust it anywhere between 5.8 - 6.2. It’s not the same pH every time. I feel that allows for better nutrient uptake.

Wash coco until the water runs clear or nearly clear.

I germinate using damp coffee filters and a plastic baggy and put it on top of the fridge. If they don’t germinate in 2 days, they probably need more heat. Then put the newly sprouted seed into the 1 gallon fabric pots. When feeding during the seedling stage, add just enough water to get the roots saturated and a tiny bit of run off. As the plant grows and the root system grows, you just adjust the quantity. Each time you water, you want some run off. Don’t let plants sit in run off, vaccumit up with a shop vac. Better yet, set them on plant stands.

Each plant is different so you may be able to increase nutrients to 1/2 teaspoon of each. Just start with the 1/4 of teaspoon of each and adjust if you think your plants can handle it. About halfway into flower my plants start to show signs of nute burn which is why I backed off to feeding every other day and give plain, pH’d water inbetween. Your plants might be able to tolerate more.

I add the elemental sulfur to the nutrients, after all the nutrients are dissolved. The elemental sulfur doesn’t dissolve in the water but floats on top, as you feed the sulfur will work it’s way into the coco.

When mixing your nutes, add one at a time to the gallon of water and dissolve before you add the next (I use plastic one gallon milk jugs). In veg, always add the calcium nitrate first.

Once a week I make sure to get a lot of run off but I don’t ever flush with plain water until 1 week before harvest. Then I flush with pH’d water.

Hope this helps!

Ya no doubt. You are the coolest for real
Nice job on those plants friend!
Do you smoke yourself at all? Or is it all for the old man?
Hope your farm is rocking this season! 🤙

It’s for him but I always try some from each harvest. He goes through an ounce per week and I grow just enough for his meds, no room for me to dip in on his stash, Plus I can’t smoke all the time, it gives me the mad munchies and knocks me out. I do sometimes grow one high cbd, low THC plant like dinamed cbd for myself, it’s good for anxiety,

This gg4 s1 is in its 14th week of flower! It looks like an indica but flowers like a sativa, lol. All this time in flower better be worth it. I’ve started flushing which means when I harvest her, it’ll be her 15th week in flower.
Holy Moses id be pullin my hair out by week 15. Kudos on the patience 😂

About a month ago, I had to pull some CBD cream and cheese from the husband because it wasn’t working well for his meds. It’s been curing about a little over a month now. He tested it a few days and said it’s a night and day difference from when I pulled it from him. A month cure brought out more flavors and made it more “dank” or aromatic and the potency is more effective. Nothing like the strawberry amnesia but at least he can smoke it between his strawberry amnesia. That’s a win.

I cut the gg4 july18th. I looked the trichomes and it was ready. All cloudy with lots of amber (how it’s preferred in this house). It’s still hanging dry. Can’t wait to test it in a few days. Definitely one of he more stinky plants I’ve grown.

Here is one bud from the bottom half of the strawberry amnesia. I harvested the top half of her a few weeks ago and got a solid 3oz dried. This second half will give me another 2oz dried. This bud isn’t too bad for being in the bottom half of the plant. She is also a breeze to dry trim. Very few sugar leaves. Enjoy the bud porn.

So I decided experiment a bit with the application of Masterblend nutrients.

In my VEG tent, I increased to 1/2 teaspoon of calcium nitrate and 1/2 teaspoon tomato and veg formula and kept the epsom the same at 1/4 teaspoon per gallon. This brought the ppm up to 1304 ppm. Right of if two was about 350ppm so with the mix, it adds about 1000ppm to your water.

In my FLOWER tent, I increased the tomato and veg formula to 1 teaspoon and 1/4 teaspoon of epsom salt. This brought my PPM up to 1300ppm. Right out of tap is 350ppm, so again this mix adds about 1000ppm to your water.

I’ll see how this effects growth.

Cafe racer harvest day. She took 16-17 weeks to finish flowering. She got her first pistils sometime in the end of March or beginning of April. I can’t remember exactly. Usually I mark the day first pistils form but I forgot to with this plant. I expect 5oz dried from this plant, maybe a little more since the buds are bigger than the strawberry amnesia and I got 5oz from her.

According to the breeder, estimated THC should be 25% -37%. I guess we’ll find out soon enough if that’s accurate or just a marketing scam.

Pictures with and without flash. Normal lighting she looks black but with the flash you can see some color.

excellent job! are you still using the Masterblend line for nutrients?

I am, it’s a pretty awesome line. I’ve barely made a dent in the bags and I’ve been feeding daily for 5ish months. I’ve been messing around with the application rate per gallon. I’ve definitely settling in on my veg formula and think I have the flower application settled on too.

I am going to try it...after I use up about 20 partial bottles of everything else 🙄. I am very susceptible to slick marketing! thanks

😀 It’s fun to try new products though. Growing in coco requires feeding every day so I knew I needed something effective and economical. It was fun window shopping and buying the different brands of liquid fertilizers, terpene enchancers, and other bells and whistles.
Now I like my mineral macro and micro nutrients with my elemental sulfur as the terpene enhancer.

When you start your grow with masterblend, send me the link for your grow diary. I’d love to see how it works for you.

Of course! ATM, Iam having bad luck trying to germinate some Hawaiian strains. They either don’t pop at all or (if they do) never emerge from the soil. Trying now with some coco...if this doesn’t work, then I think it’s the beans ☹️ My outdoor forest is doing fine though!😁
