i like 2" hex netting (chicken wire). zip tied to a frame and will not bend too much, giving an even canopy. that netting there looks like it will be fine if tightened up as much as you can.

Video update!!!!

So i thought it would be best to move my rooms and consolidate. lets just say it is my best interest to move the op....

i will have a few more updates, when i can post them, to catch up on the past 14 days.

SO here's the new room.

EDIT: GUESS NOT. no option for uploading video. i will take more picks tomorrow, i guess. i will not use YT!

SOrry about the delays.... This return to the garden has been quite challenging, to say the least. Glad to have great people on my side. Makes it easier to deal with. I will have some pics up tonight, to restart the journal in style :)

Had to consolidate two 4x4 trays, into 1, as i had to ditch 8 plants. they didnt like being moved, plus they were fucked up to begin with. check out the first posts, if you havent yet. SO i will have a 4x4 vacant for a few weeks.

Good news is that the vacant tray will be filled with some WiFi and Alien Fire!

I swithced to flower a couple of days ago, so i will take some cuts from the GDP and the Jack Herrer and get them ready for the next run. I'm putting some wifi & alien fire into dwc, to house them, cuz i am not running anything else. the house will be wifi, ken's GDP, Alien Fire & SFV Only.

The harlequin is looking pretty good. I have one left... pics to be uploaded tonight....

#1 a long shot of the room from canopy height. note the foreground is a little light, as i pulled some plants. only going to have 5 plants under that screen

#2 Jack H day 3 of flower (DF3) 1 day after the entire screen was trained back under. She is a branchy momma and should fill in the screen nicely. She will be the only strain, on this run, that i am proud of.

#3 is a table with some jack herrer, blueberry, diablo OG, & Bubba Kush A member gave me a few OGs to help fill in the blanks

#4 jack popping thru the screen.

#5 Some GDP cuts i took before moving the ladies. took cuts in case.... glad i did. gonna veg them for a week or two then throw them in the blank space i have, due to the plants i pulled.

So i am getting back on track.....

Im killing my shit right now
its all so fucking sick
gona check ur babies tomorrow. Should see some roots i would think.
plan on later this weeked fo sho
Love this OGR wifi, but let me tell ya my old sfv kills everything. Only thing about it is that i couldnt get it right with it the last time, i think i went too long with it.
I gave a sample to the local shop, not dispencary but hydro store, he passed it to his buddy whos been growing for 25 years, said it was the best hes evar seen. It is that good, if i could only fucking do it again.

bro something else to think about
get some coco matts undr ur cubes.
ur roots have nowhere to go in those small cubes.
dont buy the 1/8 matts, get teh 50 dolla 1/2 inch ones
its a must.

I'm running lucas formula, and having doubts now... In dwc it is super easy and is solid. this attached pic is from a grow in 2006. jack herrer is super chunky and swollen. only ran 8ml micro and 16ml bloom the whole way, once i had roots.

I am seeing deficiencies only everything but the jack H. weird to me for that to happen. when i mix to achieve 950ppm (approx 5ml Micro 10ml Bloom) my ph is at 4.8-5.0 using R/O water. after learning that rockwool increases the ph about 1 full point, my nute mix is perfect. the runoff is about @ ph5.9-6.0 why do i see the brown spots on the edges of some yellowing leaves. i know its a deficiency, but why is this happening? my ppms are pretty stable at 1100 day after day. if i get a reading higher than 1100, i know they are drinking more water than nutes, and if the number is lower.... they eat more nutes than drink water. so far they seem to be dialed in. Its only happening in one table. its the one housing the transplanted, mite & nute damaged ladies. (boy, i fucked those gurls up real BAD!!)

Any thoughts?

big bud
hygrozyme
roots excel
carbo load
protek silicate
full power
b52
micro flora
micro bloom
with all this there is NO defiency
ppm at 800
Dont skimp on nute purchases. Just dumped 2k on my nutes, course im running 230 gallon water changes.

Yeah i need to. picking them up tomorrow. its gonna be a bitch to put them in when the screen is already up. I thought 6" cubes were enuf to support the entire development? First time using rockwool the whole way thru, for me.

I bought, by mistake, the thin GH roll already, so i have to buy the 3/4" thick mats. they are 4'x4' pieces.

That SFV you showed me in the jar was bad ass. Uber dense. was killer. I am super stoked to get them. At least i will be back in the routine and knocked off the rust, you know. i will be prepared and ready to handle with care...

Question:

SOwhen the roots are growing into and beneath the coco, should i change the ph of hte nute solution? if a major root ball is to happen under those mats, wont they be exposed to a solution of 4.8, but hte roots in the cube are getting the same mix of nutes at a higher ph, like 5.8-6.0.

I may be quick to understand a lot and straight up dense on other matters. Going from dwc to flood and drain has been so confusing for me....

New room is rad! love it. the mini split hasnt been needed. highest temps were 78, the other day. when the lights are on, it 74F and 47%rh

I need to pop on the scrubbers to the fans. i have a 750 cfm on an 8" fan constantly running. but its 12/12 time, so I need to pop that one and another on to the exhaust fans that are cooling my lights.

Ive been checking on your dual arc journal. pretty rad indeed. you are busting at the seams with killer flowers, bro.

No bro.
always set ur ph to 5.8, or as close as u can to that cause one flood will bump it up a hair, or always does for me. At my warehoue dealio last time i went was Sunday. I let the ph ride from under six to a few ticks above it. Are u flooding or top feeding>
i do both at diff locations. Depends if i have help from my fellow monkeys
Always put those matts down at flip time, and in two weeks u can lift the matt up and peek under,, ull see major roots that will fill the slots in the trays.
Only time i didint run matts is when i stacked a sixer on a sixer. i thought that would be enough for root growth, plus i had top feed then
At grow spot #1 i have 8 inch monster cubes with matts, and there are major roots shooting out. its atop feed.
cost 50 a matt but well worth it
h

question on that pic u just put up
i see ur fans mounted then ducted thru ur lights then out at the Y connector?
?
is that correct?
Do u have a scrubber.
I use to run a scrubber that would then pump thru the lights, then out, but what i didnt like about it was that it was taking all the cold air out.
So now at this spot , we are upstairs in a bedroom, suck air thru the floorboards from the garage , thru the lights then out. No cold air wasted. Believe me when it gets hotter and it will ull need all the AC u can get

wicked. i've been running at lower ph and the analog ph meter i stuck into a cube reads 6.0, but my rez is at 4.8-5.0.

I am flooding 2 x a day for 20 minutes. flood about 2.5"-3"

I have a scrubber on the ground with a 750cfm fan on top for now. i'm about to connect 2 filters on those fans.

about the A/C... I was wondering about that, but i cannot pull the hot air from outside during the spring & summer. doesnt seem right, in my head. if ihad a basement or cool air supply, i would be pulling from there for sure.

thats too much for rw in veg
in veg i flood once a day about for 15 mins. a third up the cube, this is with no coco matt
then in flower i do the same for about 3 weeks, then flood twice a day since the girls are getting`bigger and can handle it. too mjch water and ull get root root

about pulling all the hot air out... i have the fans mounted on the other side of the room, nearly 20ft away from the A/C, with the thought that at least the fans would pull that air all the way across the canopies and help spread the cool air thru out the room, before going into the lights.

I have to get into the mentality of less is more. in DWC more is better. RW is confusing the fuck out me.

I thought the RW raised the ph of the nutes, so you would have to start with lower ph solution. then the runoff, that drains back into the rez is also higher than what is was before it was pumped into the tray during the flood cycle.

SO i should keep the rez at 5.8? but wouldnt the solution that hits the RW become 6.8 or so? I am baffled.

Ur still sucking ur cold air out, cause ur room is tryin to be in the 70s but its like ur leaving a window open, it will make ur ac run ten times harder. i use to run my rooms like that but learned a better way. If i were u i would suck air from that small room where the door is or even outisde. and then. thru ur lights then out. Its better to cool ur lights not using ur grow room air. Plus its clean air, not smelly if ya get my meaning

i have a scrubber that turns on once every 2 hrs for 15 minutes to suck air out.
