Shady Updates… Round 9
Before I begin the Round 9 update, I’ll post my feedings for Round 8:
Shady Round 8 Bloom Feedings… 11/8/10
Based on 30 gal of RO to begin Week #5:
CalMag (CM): 4 ml/gal
GH Micro (Micro): 5 ml/gal
GH Grow (Grow): 3 ml/gal
GH Bloom (Bloom): 12 ml/gal
PBP Bloom (Bloom): 1 ml/gal
FloraBlend (FB): 5 ml/gal
HammerHead PK 4/8 (HH): 5 ml/gal
Base (pH up): 1.7 ml/gal
Total PPM’s(@ 0.5 conversion ratio): 1085 PPM @ 5.68 pH
As mentioned in my last update, I was gonna hit these bitches with the HammerHead and
MOAB combo. There was still about 10 gal remaining from the Week 5 res change, so I diluted the mix by adding approximately 5 gal of RO, then I added back 30 ml of
CalMag and 2 tsp of
MOAB. After adding a bit of base to raise the pH the mix was set at the following totals:
Shady Round 8 Bloom Feedings… 11/15/10
Based on 15 gal of RO to begin Week #6:
Diluted Week #5 mix down to 865 PPM
Added 30 ml of CM bringing mix to 925 PPM
Then added 2 tsp of
MOAB bringing mix to 985 PPM
Then added base to raise pH
Total PPM’s(@ 0.5 conversion ratio): 995 PPM @ 5.7 pH
Well, these notes on feedings are mainly for me to refer back as I read the plant’s reactions and needs since I’m running a few diff mediums and nutrients… From hydro/coco DTW in Round 8, I’m on to the next one… Round 9,
Happy Frog, B’cuzz Coco, and Chunky Perlite #4… FTW

Start of Week #3…
CalMag (CM): 4 ml/gal
Pure Blend Pro Bloom (PBP Bloom): 10 ml/gal
Flora Blend (FB): 5 ml/gal
Bud Candy (BC): 2 ml/gal
HammerHead PK 4/8: 5 ml/gal
Roots Excelurator: 1 ml/gal
Total PPM’s(@ 0.5 conversion ratio): 757 PPM’s @ 6.23 pH
Not sure if anyone really cares, but I was blooming with T-8’s while I was working on my equipment upgrades, and that’s why the PPM’s were so low in Round 9. That is until last Friday when I finally got my 600W HPS installed and dialed down to 360W on the Lumatek to harden off the plants and avoid lumen shock. So here’s the mix that they received the following morning…
Shady Round 9 Bloom Feedings… 11/13/10
Start of Week #4…
CalMag (CM): 5 ml/gal
Pure Blend Pro Bloom (PBP Bloom): 14 ml/gal
Flora Blend (FB): 7 ml/gal
Bud Candy (BC): 3 ml/gal
HammerHead PK 9/18: 5 ml/gal
Total PPM’s(@ 0.5 conversion ratio): 930 PPM’s @ 6.33 pH
And another shady surprise… I’ve left the 6500K T-8’s, two bulb fixtures on each side of the HPS to give me a dual spectrum until I ramp up the Lumatek to 600W and then to super lumens… The following shots were snapped tonight on Day 24…

P.S.S. All of the cloned seedlings rooted several weeks ago and were finally transplanted into a shady medium of
Happy Frog, Light Warrior, B’Cuzz Coco, and Chunky Perlite #4 in the ratio of 40/10/40/10 respectively and were transplanted on 11/11/10 and fed the following mix:
